I like the Black Steel Cutter blade with the Acidic Great Curve Sword handle better, it has a faster moveset than the acidic curve sword and its makes use of the high Advance scaling on the handle, plus you get Absolute Defense on the handle for free perfect deflects

I’ve never been the guy to deep dive into the stat screen. I just acknowledge the simple letter ranking and move on. This led me to make a booster Glaive dancer curved sword. I used it throughout my entire 1st play-through and absolutely loved it. I’m glad this game allows for creativity without being restrictive.

I should note that there is a way to buff the damage of elemental blades with your grindstone. If you take the P Organ upgrade that boosts ATK when Durability is at Maximum, you can use the grindstone that temporarily makes your Durability not decrease to keep this ATK boost active for way longer than just the single hit it normally allows for. This becomes even better with additional P Organ upgrades such as special grindstones restoring durability, special grindstones lasting longer, and having a 2nd use of the special grindstone. Obviously, this also works for non-elemental blades, but you typically would be putting an element on those anyway.

So glad that you acknowledged the bone saw blade with the shovel handle. I've been using both that and the live puppet axe blade on my most recent playthrough, and it just deals so much damage it's insane. Literally getting upwards of 7k from a single counter hit with the axe blade fable art while the shovel handle art and an elemental buff is active. Something you forgot to mention though is the heavy attacks of the shovel handle only go in front of the player, which is really nice since both blade combos struggle with tight spaces. An honorary mention and the combo that carried me through my first play of the game is the bone saw blade with the bramble sword handle. Fast attacks, long reach with the blade, and an amazing engage option with the heavy attack as well as the handle's fable art dealing massive amounts of damage to both hp and stagger. Another mention has also been very good on a previous playthrough, which was the electric saw blade and the electric coil handle. Very good physical and elemental damage, though lacking a bit in range. To counter that lack of range though is having hyperarmor on both parts of the weapon makes it very easy to trade hits depending if you need to get closer or need a quick burst of damage to building stagger.

the fire axe handle and the bramble curved sword handle are also great options alongside the booster glaive if you want a charged attack with a gap closer. i used a variation of all 3 of these on my first playthrough with the wrench head and i can't tell you how easy it was getting staggers off on both regular enemies as well as a lot of the bosses.

I used the exploding pickaxe handle alongside the bone cutting sawblade for a lot of my first run, still has great range but has all of it's attacks being vertical so you don't get caught on walls. The attack rate is also high enough that it doesn't feel sluggish compared to a lot of the other long handles.

I been waiting for this, some new random good combos aside from the ones we already know would be fun

The Black Steel Cutter Blade also pairs well with the Master Chef's Knife Handle. Soooo many hits and noone seems to talk about it. The handle's fable art gets in 10 hits and a heavy if you hold it down. It's my favorite handle in the game and that combo took me through the whole late game.

I personally paired the coil hammer thing (I forgor the name) with the fire axe handle since it gives it better reach and it's only a little slower than a sword hilt, plus it can be buffed with electrical damage with it's fable art while also being able to be buffed by elemental grindstones, all while hitting harder than the big wrench head

My combos are. 1. Bone cutting saw blade + bramble curved sword handle. (Good reach and charged heavy has good distance coverage and the fable art in handle is fast paired with arm of god and awakened gods amulet along with the grindstone that retains sharpness at max it is better than using fatal attack) 2. Live puppets axe blade + Big Pipe Wrench Handle(the handles payback swing is very strong paired with conquering amulet and extreme modification amulet) 3. Circular Electric Chainsaw Blade + spear of honour handle ( pair with arm of gods amulet. Regular heavy attacks are multi hit and makes reaching max level attack easy) All of the handles are set to quality. Also the dancers curved sword handle has the best non boss weapon scaling and when using advance crank you can get good damage with all 3 stats good for ng++ i use ut with the carcass crystal axe or black steel blade

The bone saw on the wintery rapier is one of my favorite weapons. Just big damage for a technique wack stick. I also love the wintery rapier blade with the city spear handle. Great reach, good for punishment, quick guard. Love it

My favorite handle has been the booster glave, so i run that with either the bone saw blade for pure damage, or the dancers curved blade for crazy mobility. Both are very good combos imo.

Booster glaive is my favorite handle for normal enemies. Huge stagger and reach, great for outranging lighter enemies and staggering heavier ones.

When I swapped from a Motivity build to a Technique build, my main weapon I used to the end was the Giant Bone saw and Dancer's Curved Sword handle. Was honestly a surprisingly enough, a overall good weapon thanks to the range and fable arts.

I'm nearing the end of my very first playthrough and haven't experimented a lot with combining weapons, but the Dancer's sword Handle with the Booster Glaive head has been pretty solid for me. Nice moveset, not too slow but still having that slashing greatsword feel in a Dexterity build

The booster glaive handle has been my favourite before I got the holy staff from Alidoro after defeating the bishop. I used the electric head or a fire spear for it depending on the place I go to. I had to reassemble it every time though. I'm still playing so I haven't found another proper handle I would love yet. I choose the weapon according to my playstyle and the looks. It has to be something long, one-handed, and not too slow. I tend to use the holy staff for any enemy now. It's light and fast enough.

I've used the Salamander Dagger/Spear combination for a lot of my playthrough so far. I used it with the Fireman's Axe handle before getting that spear. I just started upgrading Tyrant's dagger too so I have crit and more flexible element choice.

Salamander handle pairs well with so many weapons. I put the electric saw blade on it and went through the rest of the game until I got the Golden Lie. Then I used that ‘cause it felt thematically appropriate.

A fun combo is Pistol Rock Drill blade or any good stabbing blade with Blind Man's Spear handle. The R2 attacks have guard frames that allow chaining into Payback Stab Fable Art. Maybe not the best damage combo or the easiest to use, but very satisfying to pull off.

The bone cutting sawblad and the dancer handel is a masterpiece made the handel a technique and the damage on it is insane

i got hooked on the moveset of the dancers curved sword and just stuck a motivity blade on it. felt like i was getting the best of both worlds. had a fast fun moveset and i can hit for like 700ish with the current blade i'm using. granted i'm only on the first playthrough but i'm really enjoying playing with different moveset and weapons in this game.

I love the mjolnir hammer with the police baton handle. Absolute unit of a weapon

Im still early just beat Area 3 but i been using the electric coil stick head with the rapier handle. Im really liking those quick attacks. Also upgrading and pairing that with Salamnder blade and booster glaive handle. But liking the combo and your video taught me which weapon to used for different enemies.

I can’t stop using the live puppet axe with the police baton handle. The fast songle attack buff from the handle is nice. It’s still hitting hard at Ng+++++++. This with the stagger grindstone is usually what I use. Proof of Humanity is also incredible paired with the crit grindstone you’re getting almost 100% criticals hits

I'd love to give a shoutout to the Live Puppet's Axe Blade with the Master Chef's Knife Handle combo. It's another amazing combo like the one with the Puppet Saber handle. Its fable art is Furious Slash which is a really fun one to use.

I won't speak for Fable usage (I went through the game with very little of it overall) but i found personal success using the Coil Stick with Salamander handle for speed and stamina longevity. The scalings aren't terrible either, on top of having a super fast charged attack that - from my experience - lets you build up stagger super quickly with the Fable from the head, being the only Fable I personally use. It's not top tier by any means but if you prefer a dodgy style with chip damage, then that worked well for me.

I used booster glaive handle the whole play through and is in my opinion very good for people struggling to land those heavy attacks. I also recommend trying the Handle with great sword blades, mainly the live puppets axe blade.

I used in my ng++ the city spear handle with the fire and acid dagers. It's a easy quick and long range moveset. The charge attack has a good range and it's super quick

Since electric coil is an advance/elemental weapon, I prefer combined it with advance scale handle

Recently discovered the combination of Booster Glaive handle and Bonecutter Saw blade. Great range, great damage, lots of fun. The only downside is it can be kinda finnicky in small, enclosed environments where it can easily bounce off the walls.

The booster handle has always been my favorite! I'd switch between salamander blade & electric coil depending on the enemy type. Excited for the twin dragon sword I'm so close to getting it, Just beat Victor so almost there.

I'm surprised to see the electric coil stick head removed from the handle. Most of these lists just keep them together as it's a perfect combo as it is.

The ability to turn everything into a superlong bonk stick or slice pole is 150% my jam. I put Blacksteel on the Mjolnir handle and I'm hitting carcasses from the next area code. Big fan.

Id like to bring up the Pistol rock/ Tyrant's blade on the Spear of Honor handle. 90% crit chance set up + a stabbing R2 that deals multiple hits while covering a good deal of distance when charged = a satisfying cacophony of lights and sounds

I’m sorry but the amount of people who sleep on the fire axe handle mixed with just about anything is baffling. Fire axe handle is really fast and mixed with the likes of the Puppet arm axe does incredible damage.

I'm currently playing NG+ and tried motivity/advance build with electric coil handle. Modified it makes B scaling from motivity and B from advance. Putting Black steel blade or electric saw (don't remember the name quite well) make it pretty good. I have about 400 damage. Half of it is elemental.

Salamander Dagger and booster glaive handle is a great second weapon. I used it to hit staggered bosses in boss battles mainly cuz its easy to trigger from a safe distance. Also I used it for zombies alot. The weapon art fits a fire weapon

Finished the game with big wrench head + exploding pickaxe handle motivity enanched. Immense damage, big range, not sluggish, and the R2 strings are amazing. If you have enough stamina you can fit many of them in a row and thr dps is insane. Wrench fable art is amazing, hyper armor the entire time

I ran the coil stick head with the saber handle for most of my playthrough, then switched to booster glaive handle and black steel blade

tyrant blade/city longspear handle is my favorite. Really good reach, very fast attacks, 90% crit when you activate the blade skill and grinder, plus the handle gives an attack buff, both of these fable arts only costing 1 use each.

Anyone else like the Master Chef handle with the Live Puppet head? I feel like it does so much damage and the block rate is fantastic.

Bramble curved sword handle is seriously my favourite moveset in the entire game. Light handle with crazy range on charged heavy is a great advantage with rest of the moveset beeing fast and close range. It does steruggle in specific situations in narrow places, but it is great in bossfights and against multiple enemies. It pairs nicely with any light to medium slash blade.

The Tyrant Murderer's dagger blade with the city longspear handle is actually a very good combo! Fast and dangerous with critical hits.

Spear of honor blade on city longspear handle is hilariously fun. A pike that stretches damn near half of the arena.

Also bonesaw blade with police handle is absolute devastating. Made the whole first run with it.

personally ive been rocking booster and bonecutter it gives good range and its charge attack is pretty nice too

I used the Acid Spear Handle and the Electric Saw blade on an advanced build. Puppets and Carcasses alike got mulched. Only one I didn't use it on was Laxasia due to her big acid weakness

I absolutely love the Krat Police Baton Handle and the Booster Glaive Blade. Something about it just makes it just feels right to me. Even if it isnt the best weapon, it just FEELS really fucking good to use imo, and I feel like the feel of the weapon is one of if not the most important part of using it.

Etiquette is quite underrated. Yeah sure base dmg is quite low compared to others but the movesets(especially light strong attack) and 3 bar fable arts' dmg is really good, not to mention perfect parry fable arts as well.

I pretty much used only the starting greatsword blade + coil stick handle for my entire first playthrough, mainly because it looked cool

I think the best thing about the pipe head fable art is the full hyper armor you have through the entire charge up and attack. Without that, the fable art would be a lot harder to use effectively without wasting 3 bars on getting interrupted.

Boosters handle is just the most stylish looking moveset in the game with that gap closer to top it off

I used the tyrant dagger head with the long spear handle. Long pointy stick with a great charge poke. The fable arts are fast, crit up and damage up for 1 a piece. Light combo racks up damage fast and the speed of the charge stabs is kinda nuts.

I've been using the great sword of fate blade on the dancer's sword handle. While you're not utilizing the blades stab ability it's feels faster than most of the larger bladed weapons like the bone saw. It also looks really cool and just all around feels satisfying to use in my opinion. It has big sweeping attacks that don't take very long to perform. The main issues i have with the combination is that it's hard to use in tight areas. That and while the lunge animation gives it a little more reach, on top of the decently long blade, you still have to keep within attack range of most bosses. I also liked that same blade on the salamanders dagger handle. The fable art is also really nice as well if you run out of stamina and need to get off a couple more hits to finish. Its a basic slashing attack that consumes 1 fable slot and be done back to back. For a starting item i thinks it pairs really well with a lot of things in the game.

The bramble handle and master chefs knife handle, are really good with Bone cutter, Black Steel cutter and acidic blade. Mijolnir Hammer pairs well with the explosive axe handle. mayne even the shovel handle for that spin to win. lol

Absolute Defense handles should be given an honorable mention, for 'no skill' players like myself. Being able to perfectly guard everything for 1s, from flurry movesets to fury attacks, really lowers the skill floor to beat Lies of P. Granted, Greatsword of Fate doesn't have a particularly good moveset, but Absolute Defense carried me until I got the better Coil Mjolnir handle (or for TEC/ADV builds, the Acidic Greatsword handle). Speaks volumes on how frigging amazing Absolute Defense is for the average joe. Who needs to 'GIT GUD' when you have crutch fable arts like Absolute Defense? XD

Just beat the game first play with bonesaw blade with krat police baton handle. Loved it

One insanely powerful weapon that I made that I quite enjoy is live puppet axe head and butcher knife handle

A great combo especially for technique is the bone cutting sawblade blade and the puppets saber handle and then u wanna alter the handle with a technique cranck it does high damage moves fast and u can even buff your attacks more because of the handles fable art and if u put the right amulets equip you can put out just massive massive damage quickly and make sure you fully upgrade it

Favorite handle for big weapons is the machete handle , and tyrant blade with the sigh poke makes it super fast poking stick that you can spam charged heavy wiith tons of critical damage dont sleep on the pole sign

I finally beat nameless puppet using electric cutter saw and coil mjolner handle. Hits hard, and great moveset. Plus, absolute guard saces u from all the unblockables

Try the puppet blade with the chef's handle. The heavy attack is very fun and nice FAs

yall sleeping on the pistol rock drill handle, the charge heavy attack basically gives you free status effect application and the normal heavy is really good for getting cheeky damage in, the moveset is really nice and i just used the basic version my whole game

i didn't try the puppet axe with that handle, i got it together with the handle of the curved sword and i loved it, finished all 5 last chapters with it

Pistol rock on the blind man's double spear handle. Letting you parry as you attack, with high dmg absorbtion / durability for parries, while the pistol rock gives you passive crit and good dmg output

Krat Police Baton handle and the Puppet Axe head is the best raw damage for motivity. It absolutely rips bosses to pieces

Black steel cutter blade + acid curved great sword handle is really strong and it has great native motivity scaling

Dancer curved sword + master chef handle is the best and most fun imo.

For me, my go to atm is Mjolnir Coil Hammer/Dancer's Curved Sword Handle with either Black Steel Cutter Blade/Puppets Saber Handle or Acidic Great Curve Sword Blade/Master Chef's Handle

I’d like to suggest Mjolnir/Exploding Axe handle 😭 that was a very fun time and mholnir blade is one of the rare Fable Arts with some for of Super Armor

Master Chefs handle and puppet is the best combo IMO.

Ill have to try the shovel handle combo Although i just want to bonk people with an normal shovel 😂 But it lets me use dancers handle on the blacksteel cutter instead of the bonesaw

My fav weapon right now is the bone saw paired with the baton handle. The bone saw is just ridiculously strong, and the baton handle has an incredibly fast moveset, which is KEY for a motivity build. There are so many combinations, it's incredible. Easily one of the best aspects of this game IS that weapon customization. Even parts of the crappiest weapons become viable by just switching the handle or blade. Putting the live puppet axe on somethin small like the baton handle or the knife handle is pure fuckin hilarity.

I recommend the Spear of Honor blade on the shovel handle instead. Iirc the shovel handle has some thrust attacks that are wasted on the bonecutter. The spear of honor blade is the longest blade that has both slash and stab damage (unless I’m forgetting one)

Im gonna save these combinations for ng+ because that wrench baton combo is too good to let go of (for me)

Two dragon sword and Puppet ripper are my go to weapons. If i would do a no special weapon run i would propably go volcano dagger, clock sword or Acidic spear

Just electric coil and that bigger fire blade to +10 n keep swapping through police baton lol. Bosses get the Special boss weapon when it’s time. So glad I found it. I couldn’t beat that walker and toxic parade leader without it. I just tried it n used all my stones to upgrade that baby to +10 . That fire damage is gold. Never tried wrench it looks perfect ngl. Justice short af
