"Wyt ti eisiau" often sounds more like t'isio (tee-sho) when it's said in the north.

What word do the Welsh use when they answer the phone? The Italians say "pronto" for example. Your show is helpful!

The more I learn Welsh the more unexpected little similarities with Spanish I come across 🙂 "Trist" - "triste" (sad) "Dim brys" - "Sin prisa" (literally "without rush/hurry")

Another one (albeit maybe less unexpected given their history) was some of the days of the week Dydd Llun -- lunes Dydd Mawrth -- martes Dydd Mercher -- miércoles Dydd Iau -- jueves (not so similar) Dydd Gwener -- viernes (maybe a bit more similar than Thursday) Dydd Sadwrn -- sábado Dydd Sul -- domingo (quite different here too)

Probably not handy to know how to ask questions when you don't yet understand the reply! Wales Online need to get in touch with you for articles about the Welsh language. That list looks like no thought was put into it really. I'm keeping at learning Welsh even though learning any new thing is a slower process after a certain age 😉 I love to listen to new Welsh bands on BBC Radio Wales because it's a thrill to be able to piece together the meaning. Talk shows on Radio Cymru are more difficult because of the speed, but I find I can pick out more words as I learn them, so DIOLCH for helping me on my way. x
