And they both said it was very good. At least for the price. Now it’s terrible 🤔. I asked Jay about this and he keeps deleting my post. Wonder why
I’m sure I’m not alone but the post tasting now Drinking “off camera” cooking etc are great vids too, post more of those Jay! They are fun to watch as well!
I love watching tastings of you two, I love Peter and the chemistry between you two is lovely. Although in my opinion tasting with Patrick are awesome because he explains and tells everything he knows about wines you taste, grape varieties, etc Keep it up! I’m loving it and I’m learning so much Thanks a lot
I love the honesty, you can tell they both enjoy what they do. Can you please review El Enemigo Chardonnay 2018 (Argentina) or maybe Cava's from Spain?
There are some ( a few) excellent wines available just under $10: Louis Jadot - Macon-Villages, Juan Gil Albacea, Honoro Vera Monastrell, some NZ sauvignon blancs. I'd love to see a tasting of excellent wine under $12 (even though the tastings of bad wine are fun too).
Agree on your picks here, there are great values at at $10-15 bucks. They keep doing piss-poor wine because it's entertaining and what the viewers want to see, but if you're going to claim "best white wine under $10" at least have some good picks in the mix. I've stopped watching the cheap wine videos because it's the same formula over and over again.

To use Peter's words, pure pandering!!! Hard to believe that there could be vintage or batch variation with a formulaic wine like Barefoot. To me, Barefoot has never been good. Sometimes in a tasting a crappy wine can stand out amongst even crappier wines, but still, deleting comments is not a good look. That leaves a bad taste in my mouth
i just love the relatioship between you guys, peter is a legend. And i will try to find this Beringer... Is hard to believe it beats all that buch of chadonnay
Appreciate the work done to make these vids but if 85-90% of these white wines are terrible it only helps us know which to avoid. Maybe next time if most of the wines are bad you can recommend a good example of a Riesling or Chard under $10 that you all might have tried in the past. Thanks cheers!
Agree agree agree. What's the point of hammering terrible wines at us without contrasting some good value picks? The goal now seems to be views and entertainment over education. Two videos ago was the best cheap Pinot Grigio, and Peter's site has one listed for $10.99 that wasn't in the video. I've been commenting for his picks of great wines in videos for a while. I'm likely out if this channel continues this way.
@@DanA-bt7dr Perer’s got a $10 Pinot Gris on his website?? That mother Franc! Haha, well i think Jay did think some other these wines were gonna be better than what they turned out to be. I guess they just need to have some good examples ready in case most the wines are shit next time
@@DanA-bt7dr Dan get a load of this...they reviewed the Barefoot Chard back in 2019 in the cheap summer white wines video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_QmLiemDwjY.html. And they both said it was very good. At least for the price. Now it’s terrible 🤔
Jay, please serve Peter some more Riesling from Mosel Region. You really have to make up for that 5$ Riesling. There are plenty of nice Rieslings around the 12$ area. Would love to see what master is thinking about those.
Are you from the US? How is the availability of German Wine there? Because there are many many Rieslings also from Rheinhessen and Mittelrhein for 10€ which are fantastic. And for some Euros more you already get an "Erste Lage" (which means "Premier Cru"). Would be a shame if there are not sold in the US...
Hi Jay, enjoyed the video a lot, as always! Would love to see a Spanish wine tasting. A flight of rioja, priorat, ribera at different price points and different barrel ageing. Keep up the great work! Best wishes from Belgium!
I love your videos! My favorite was the one where you had a blind tasting that included the 2001 Chateau Mouton Rothschild and the Carlo Rossi Cabernet. Peter's reaction was great to see...! How about a Rioja session?
Jae, this is not wine related but I just saw a fantastic S. Korean movie called: “Commitment” do you know it? Love your channel,, and take Peter to S. Korea ASAP!
Hey Jay you guys reviewed the Barefoot Chard back in 2019 in the cheap summer white wines vid. And you both said it was very good for the price. Believe it was one of the top wines. What has changed since then?
New Zealander here. Sorry you tried such a crappy cheap wine from us. As I am sure you would know its definitely not the norm but that wine was simply too cheap. I whole heartedly recommend our reds (Shiraz and Pinot Noir being my favorites) in the $15-$30 price range as there are many excellent options
I've got to say, off topic. Regarding how the Japanese have mastered whisky making to the point that the proudly puff chested scotch have confessed that they are making a better whiskey than they do is interesting if they will ever attempt recipe winemaking from imported grapes that was harvested in France or nearby countries like NZ or AUS. (Not really close, but closer than France)
