BEST WINTER PAYLAKE BAITS 

Leeches & crawlers, goldfish heads/bluegill heads with crawlers or leeches works great in the these colder months for me. Also 1-3in baby warmouths

For me personally, leeches and crawlers work best. Cherry chicken or something like that suspended for blues. Great video by the way!

Or I found anything kinda soft baits during the winter an switch to bigger baits in the summer

Chicken crawfish tails and deer meat is the best to use I’m my area

Mooneye is better than skipjack and shad I've also done pretty good using bacon for blues also

Some paylakes are open during winter months or at least they used to be, they would stock Burbot and cold water fish like that, so people would catch fish, oh and a lot of lakes will stock trout, they bite readily in cold water, as will Burbot, there were paylakes around Ohio that stocked Burbot, Wild Bill’s was one, of course it’s called something different now bc of different owners. You know where I’m talking about, Wild Bill’s out on Greenbush rd. , I believe it’s either a Gratis address or Middletown address..? There used to be another paylake just down the road a little bit from Wild Bill’s, it used to be J & P lakes, I don’t even know if it’s still open or not? Also just down Rt. 122 from Greenbush rd. is Sportsman’s Paradise ( or that’s what it used to be) they used to be open about all winter too. Anyhow that’s just to name a few off the top of my head, some of the ones I used to fish! Oh and Stoney Meadows was another, on West Alex rd.. off 122, up West Middletown hill.
