That sounds great, especially for a mic in this price range. I use a Tascam DR680 and I really like to be able to record each microphone on an independent track. Can I do this with both mics in the kit and the single receiver? If so, how?

HI there! Have been watching your videos and they are great! So, I am a novice at video making, but super excited about it. I will be creating instructional videos mostly out of doors, and I will be speaking to the camera in most of them. I have been looking at some different wireless mics that record onto a card. I am looking for video editing software as well. General question: in using separate audio (from the card) and integrating it with video (from my camera) is this way difficult to do? Will it take an advanced video editing software program for me to accomplish this in the exact way that I need it to? I have heard to stay away from bluetooth type mics, as they are not reliable in the lag department. True? Thanks

No, you can easily drag the audio files into Final cut Pro X. Not sure about Adobe software, I never use it, but I'm sure there's an easy way to add it to their software as well.

I'm a videographer, who has been completely deaf, for about 10 years, but I still do film, video, and editing, and thus have to deal with audio. Anywho, I'm looking to try this system, but I just returned the Comica CVM-WM100 Plus UHF 48-Channel Dual Lav Mic, because I was told it started buzzing/humming after the first use, so please let me know your experiences, with 200(A), in different environments. I mostly use a shotgun mic, but I started using separate audio channels, so I could have a backup audio (shotgun on 1 channel, and dual lavs on second channel, and H4N on a second camera with 2 seperate channels). Of course someone else still has to tell me which audio is better. lol. I appreciate any audio insight suggestion, I can research. Thank you.

Try before you buy. Or make sure you can return it. I tested one and its self noise was awful. I went with a different solution.

Awesome! When it's setup to record with 2 transmitters, does it split the sound into the left & right channels or does it record them into 1 stereo track??

It can split and it can combine. That option is changeable. :)

Great review! My budget is $400, and I don’t really need 2 mics right now... would you say the sound quality of the RodeLink is dramatically better than the Comica? If not, looks like I’ll be buying that Comica set!

I just purchased this mic setup and upon testing, I am getting floor/white/digital noise. I turned down the volume and switched to mono but still hear it. Do I need to clean this in post?

Have you tried switching between channels? I did not have any noise on mine.

Hi Josh, I bought these due to your vdo review used (very little use) noticed that the battery indicator doesn’t show a full charge on fresh or fresh recharged batteries. The indicator shows 3 bars in having a full charge but it only shows 2 and battery dies out fast in the transmitter only. Have you experienced this issue? Please help thx!

With rechargeables yes but not regular batteries. Tascam recorders have an option so you state what kind of batteries are being used for accurate readings....weird I know

We bought a set, got problems with the input bus of the receiver (bad contact). The connection cable (XLR - minijack) is way to fragile/low quality and breaks down to easy. Comica is not willing to take care of the problem. Meaning no after sale sevice! Advice not to buy the comica set.
