My partner has been a gardener for 20+ years and he has never had a good pair of boots he’s been happy with. Thankyou for this video and the recommendation! He’s over the moon with how comfortable these are !!!! Cheers !!!
Love the video review i bought the black at55’s. I’ve been in the automotive trade for 14 years and this has to be the most comfortable boot i have ever tried. These are so much better than steel blues and blundstone. Comfortable from the get go. Steel blues were so painful when wearing in for some reason. Appreciate the review!! It’s been a game changer
Thanks for recommend these boots Bill. I just got a pair and they are AWESOME. I got them online from Boot Warehouse in Sydney and arrived in NZ in about 3 working days. Can't complain about that!! 👍
Just ordered mine today to Sydney Australia. Hope they are as good as the video says. The boots i wear now are killing my feet especially after 10 hours in a warehouse.
my review: about 8 years ago i was supplied a brand new pair of AT's...loved them. i had them less than a year when the heel strap broke on one boot. no worries the company i worked for supplied endless PPE so these will be good for yard work round home, they were still mint except for the strap. i threw them in a cupboard under the wash house sink and there they sat to this very morning. they were dusty and home to a couple of daddy long legs...but other than that they were dry and the leather looked great. i slipped them on and started walking around. Suddenly I felt the heels slip. i got em off and saw the soles were crumbling! on close inspection it looked as if the tread was a relatively thin rubber cap that was peeling away.... instead of a solid rubber soul theres a black foam like substance that had disintigrated which formed what looked to be 70% of the soul. its literally a fluffy black powder! i dont know jack about boot technology but there you go my review.
Yeah the exact same thing happened to a pair of blundstones that I bought discounted price from the previous year, the sole peeled away from the fabric from the heel so it was like I was wearing thongs.
great diy videos on youtube bill, i am from perth w.a, and i have a suggestion for a diy video, that i would like to see you do, and that is painting your shower tiles gloss white, useing the best tile paint out there
AT 55's come with zip sided too. On my 2nd pair of 55's & won't look back after wearing Steel Blues for years. Curious about trying these as they may be lighter than the 55's
Last 12 -18 months ive had three pairs, One replaced on warranty as I bought two pairs at one time. They are comfortable however incredibly disappointing at how they have deteriorated. Im going back to Red back or Steel blue because I got much better wear out of them.
I did hv a pair of "oliver"" before, however,i donot think it is better than "blue steel " for the following reasons_ Zip is important but i donot think zip is the first part that will become the problem for most brands of safety boots at same price level with oliver-i guess they might actually use same zip supplier maybe. And the most important part of the shoes is the top front section where right at the edge of your toe protector-the steel cap, this section is being bending every step you take. Besides, the internal part of heel section is as important as the top front section as well-because everytime you are putting the boots on your foot is pressing that section more or less, when it is broken, it starts scraching your socks and foot skin. This is happening to me when i am wearing oliver and other brands but not "blue steel"
Hi Bill, thanks for the review. I am also a size 13 so I do worry about having a boot that magnifies my size 13's. I heard you say your 13 but the box says 12. Is this one of those companies where they are a "large" 12?
Had to return mine, the area that joins the tongue with the side of the boots rubs against the inside of the foot and is very uncomfortable and painful. Ended up buying a pair of $120 tradies from big W. best desicion ever.
Very comfortable boots to begin with but the inside do not last a long time. As i slip my feet in and out every day the back of the boot wears out quickly and makes it im possible to slide your feet in anymore. Ive had the same problem with all my olivers. Comfortable and light but do not last a long time
Oliver suck to me. Squeaky when you walk, not that comfy, and fall apart quick like most work boots these days. The most durable brand I've used, which is a lot, is CAT. Not perfect but easily the best so far.
I have owned elastic slide on boots. Elastic wares out & are terrible. Have had lace up boots but are difficult to remove. Not bad but not good. Have had lace up boots with zippers. Pretty good but zipper comes loose after a while & laces don't last that long. I'm considering boots like these with boa cable laces. It's an endless evolution of finding the perfect work boots.
Hey mate bought another pair the other day . They are not comfy at all my old oliver at were dope now there owned or bought out by another company there so hard to step on leather is totally different . Aswell took them straight back even the box is different . They went backwards its hard to find the old set in the box you have
Two things about the boot I could never figure out the reason for, firstly the zip and secondly the hoop at the back. It would take an Aussie, thanks again!
