Myers cocktails (vit IV) was a game changer for me. I was in stage 4 adrenal exhaustion. No exercising in evening. Gentle exercise only otherwise. Stay away from all stimulants. Eat clean. Be gentle with yourself. It takes time to heal.
I'm in tears after watching this, I'm in extreme adrenal fatigue and I didn't know. I have extreme body fat but it's severe in my belly. I don't sleep well, everything I eat works against me, the more I exercise I gain weight. I'm extremely stressed and is in peri-menopause and I really thought I was losing my mind and having a nervous breakdown. I would love more help with this. Thank you so much ❤
I’m in adrenal fatigue, post menopausal and 63 yrs old. I’ve made a HUGE MISTAKE and hope others can learn from this. I radically changed my diet: took out white flour, sugar and bad oils & started taking the right supplements and adrenal support HOWEVER: I also had this bright idea that I needed to intermittent fast 17 hrs. a day to clean up gut biome and started doing interval training with weights. 3 weeks in….I’m SO MUCH WORSE OFF! I didn’t get the right information about this until 3 weeks into the fasting. I stop that for now. I went for a mile walk today and now I can barely move. Thank you for this video.
Thanks Dr Beth.. I will try again weight training. Earlier I had tried it with only 2 sets, that caused trouble in sleeping. I think that maybe due to lack of rest and post workout meal that's dinner. @@angelanorman892 I tried intermittent fasting for 2 days and it started showing adverse symptoms.. I even tried small frequent meals, it made me feel more hungry. Instead of that, meal with low glycemic index foods can feel full for about 3 hours..
Fasting didn't work for me neither I did for 1 year after cortisol thru the roof gained 30 pounds eating clean but wasn't eating nutrient dense food I kicked keto and fasting ate every 3 hours including carbs from fruit and sweet potatoes lost 8 pounds the first 2 weeks just from eating and not fasting
Even though my situation has improved after years I notice that workouts can still throw me off and make me feel exhausted for days after. I still need to be gentle and go slow. Best rule I think is to simply not do anything that feels like you have to force it - that kind of forceful mentality is kind of encouraged in fitness circles. What works p well for me is gentle yoga and dance and walking. With weight and resistance training I have to be really careful to not overdo, which can be hard for me somehow, because I used to enjoy it and want to get back to it.
really great video i wish i saw it 10 years ago 😄had to experience it for myself im healing slowly alot of people are over doing it and wont realize untill its to late@@DrBethWestie
I am dealing with Adrenal fatigue for 10+ years. I can't do gym and weights. Or running. The only workouts that work for me is gentle Yoga (my fav!) and 45 min walks. Recently I figured swimming works too.
I have been diagnosed with low morning cortisol but don’t see the endocrinologist until may 23rd. I feel like my adrenals have been fatigued for 10+ years😢🤦🏻♀️ I wish my pcp would have cared enough to listen
This happened to me. I teach fitness and since starting to gain weight slowly, I thought I needed to work harder. Did this for years, no results. Then a stressful event happened which totally ticked my system off, I started gaining more rapidly. I thought doing a Hiit class in the am, then an hour of cardio would help in the pm. No rest days. I developed Hashimotos. The more I did, the bigger my mid belly got bigger. I have new stretch marks in just that area.
@@DrBethWestie I did this for a year after finding out I had Hashimotos. I just thought I needed to get my butt in gear. Excersised quite often. After doing a dutch test, I realized I have bottomed out sex hormones and nothing left in the reserves. It is a hard concept, but I am learning to rest and digest.
@@DrBethWestie do you see people gain a lot of weight do to this? I gained over 40 pounds and it seems the more I did, the worse and bigger my belly got.
I'm male and I'm in adrenal fatigue. I love your video. It answered a lot of questions I've had. Plus I'm a newly diagnosed diabetic type 2. Is it true that AF can cause diabetes? Because light bulbs are coming on for me now. I'd really want to do a consultation with you Doctor. I'll contact you.
I know this is from two years ago so I hope someone can answer this question. I have adrenal fatigue and I now understand after watching this video, working out the way I have been doing was wrong for adrenal health. I would love to know "when" is the best time to workout with adrenal fatigue? Mornings or evenings?
This wasn’t my question but I’m going to be cheeky and jump in! I have low cortisol in the am and high at night. What is best time for me to gently exercise. If I listen to my body I find I intuitively feel ‘ready after 12pm but no later than 3pm maybe 4pm if I push it (which I clearly shouldn’t as I am leaning)
It's really hard, my stress killed me totally! I was working out for the past two years and I reached great levels, yes I was going up and down depending on the rough patch that I am going through, until I hit a level that I was just going down with no way up no matter how hard I tried! I am gaining fats and that's it, I feel hungry and that's it. I totally know it's because my depression due to continuous stress on unemployment situation while being the breadwinner of my family! I stopped being able to work out as I am not seeing any change on the contrary my weight is going up and my ability is going down now I am about 9 kilos over ideal weight! I am taking maca root daily which is supposed to be adaptogene and I am on it since 2018 and it was working wonders but everything stopped working for me! I am having extremely bad case of cellulite all over my body and I am unable to find any way out of any stagnation in everything! It feels that nothing can be done but praying!
Heyy so I had adrenal fatigue, but I had gained back some energy again, so my exercise addiction got more space (even though I didn't go super hard, I just loved walking, eunning and cycling, dreamt of cycling across the country etc) Then I started a reintegration program and the stress from that kicked me and I am so much more fatigued (which is also emotionally so stressfull, because exercise was my coping mechanism and now I can't). So I figured I can't keep up my exercise like I did before, but I am just a bit confused about how much is okay. And what a "rest day" even is. Can I still walk on rest days?
It depends on the severity and how yout system responds. If you're doing a guided and supported detox, then I do recommended daily dry brushing or self massage even.
Hi, I was diagnosed with Conn's Syndrome, which relates to major problems with high blood pressure, is this the same a adrenal fatigue, and should I look at qigong exercies with a weigh training program, are there any weight training programs with these symptoms you can reccommend? Thanks
