I absolutely love Darn Tough socks. I second the recommendation. I wear them every day and for backpacking. I haven’t needed a new pair of socks for the seven years that I have been using them.
I bought some wool socks from Grip6. They are the best and most comfortable socks I own. They were a waaaay better price than the darn tough socks, had better colors and they have an awesome customer service policy. I'll be a customer for life. Highly recommend!
I’ve only used Wright socks with the liner now and never had a blister or any problems. They work great for me. I’ve thought about trying Darn Tough(DT) but figure why change something that works for me. My other half swears by the DT socks though and she’s hiked a lot more miles than I have.
Tried the darn tough, smart wool & many others but once I went Injinji toe socks I never looked back…. Have them in synthetic, wool, long, short you name it LOVE THEM
Ain't no way I'm trusting a company that backs a lifetime warranty of a sock, probably got a clause like must return both sock not responsible for sock monster abduction.
Add being Diabetic to the picture and it becomes a whole new thing. I'm still on a quest for a good pair of diabetic hiking socks. Diabetics have issues with swelling ankles / feet. Add to it Add to that diabetic nephropathy, and your toes will get sharp pain if the seam is done badly.....
As an additional bonus, should you ever get in a survival situation and ruin your socks - with a beard like yours, you can always knit your own pair of replacements. Impressive! 😉
