Am so tired of watching women half my age spending an hour shaping their brows, so it's terrifically refreshing to watch you in a crappy drugstore (my town doesn't even rate a Target) where most of us are forced to buy our cosmetics. There are dermatologists that do clinical studies. I was part of one and it was great to have a professional opinion when I was getting paid to go and use the medication. Their regular office was right next door, it was nice.

I actually grow meadow foam haha. It’s a flowering plant that the seeds have been used in skin care throughout Asia. There are studies being done on it now. It’s native to Oregon. It’s a pretty plant!

My husband developed an extremely irritating rash which took over a year to pinpoint. After 3 different dermatologists which basically said no sense in doing sensitivity tests the last dermatologist sent us immediately to allergist for testing. He is highly allergic to the methylchlorthiasolone(sp) and we were able to purge all of our lotions shampoos and detergents. This Dr is our angel. Apparently price point has no indication of the presence of this preservative.

My current skincare routine is 100% Cereve and my skincare has done a complete 180 because of this lady 👆🏻 my mild rosacea is vertically unnoticeable as the redness as calmed further in the past few weeks and my skin looks and feels better! I don’t use retinol products that are leave on because I read an article from another dermatologist claiming they can over exfoliate and make the skin more susceptible to sun damage! (As an all over product not a spot treatment for acne) I have a glycolic cleanser and retinol cleanser I rotate. Thank you dr. Dray!

I'm 62, I've time now to treat and look after my skin, hope it's not too late. Off to the shops to buy a good sun screen, factor 30 at least and Nutrogena products. I nearly bought an expensive serum, I couldn't afford it. So glad now. I've friends who bring bags of expensive cosmetic and skincare products on holidays. Great video. Regards from Ireland

Unfortunately for me I expended over 500 dollar on this two lines before I saw my firts video from Our beloved #DRDray!!! now I'm stuck with them I'm super confuse how to alternate between the Sunday Raley Luna retinol oil, Good Gene's Lactic acid, then the TLC baby facial glycolic mask, the TLC glycolic framboo serum as n the Extra virgin marula oil and the vitamin C, I am a little overwhelmed so far I have really stay to Luna oil and lactic acid treatment three times a week and vitamin C on the mornings! not going to lie my skin is very clear, even and soft but at that point range I dont know what I was thinking!!!

Dood. At my old job, I made a lot of money. I spent 3000 dollars a year at Sephora...for quite some time. I'm looking at that STUPID mistake like, "More than half of that CRAP didn't work and actually did the opposite in a lot of cases." I bought some CeraVe cleanser today for like, 10 bucks [Canadian, not USD]. My old cleanser at Sephora was almost 50 bucks... I feel queasy lol

I love your opening line, "You can't anti-age. You just can't." Even though it makes me a little sad. Not really, not yet and I'm 63. Lucky skin genes and I've always hated being hot with the sun beating down on me. Thank goodness because back when I was young, people used to slather on baby oil and - at my college - lie out on a corrugated tin roof for hours. Not my idea of a good time but I surfed for hours and hours and hours and never used a sunblock during my teenage years so I'm not one to talk. I loved doing that, however, and have no regrets. Nice memories.

Hello, beautiful lady!!!!! I am 64 and contemplating retirement from the NYC Law Dept. I am a malpractice attorney. I am using up both vacation and sick time. After two weeks of being a "house wife" have lost my mind, in my ridiculously clean house and have reached a point of seriously dangerous boredom. With that said I have turned to social media to contemplate my next chapter lol. Skin care products, their realistic value is a major issue in government legal circles of late. I cannot properly express how excited I am to have discovered your channel. The minute I heard the word "genetics" my brain cells that had been in a coma for two weeks came alive. Without breaching contracts I must thank you for sharing your knowledge and express how grateful I am to have found you. It has been a life long battle for me both as a career path and also on a personal level to expose how dangerous marketing schemes are. We have come to view aging, which if we are fortunate enough to age, as a disease rather then a gift. I will step off of my soap box and state that I have yet to see a photo of your mom, but you are without a question a natural beauty. No cleanser, mask, vitamin, exotic oils etc. can produce your perfect bone structure, stunning eye lashes, brows, jawline and all else that cosmetic surgeons attempt to recreate in a billion dollar industry. Sadly marketing practices strategically prey on our societies creation of the belief that youth is our only asset. Enough said, and thank you once again. I'm so happy I found you. I cant tell you how many times I stare at all the skincare in CVS and wonder whats good or whats going to give me a reaction. This is so informative! Been trying to find a anti ageing wash for horrible sunspots and sensitive skin. Just got done with the Murad Brightening sample pack. The smell was so strong in it. Now trying the CeraVe. I wish you would have went deeper into the ingredients of Aveeno.

Love your drug store product reviews. I'm sure it is time-consuming posting these videos for our benefit, but it is greatly appreciated. It is rather empowering to not be duped by marketing ploys, potentially irritating ingredients, and costly mediocre products that do not "do your laundry or make you dinner." That comment made me chuckle, along with the one about the scrubs sounding like a toilet bowl cleaner.

This is a great video! I think as far as "dermatologist tested/approved" companies simply pay a dermatologist to either work in their labs or to simply "approve" the ingredients. It not exactly a lie but is certainly misleading! Even more disconcerting are dermatologists who "diagnose" people online and who have sold retinoids online without a prescription. Unfortunately their are licensed physicians who are no more ethical than con men. I am so glad to have your analysis of products and ingredients. Cheers!

To each their own, but those RoC cleansing discs are DA BOMB! They have two sides, a gentle and a more abrasive side. I use them every other night and they leave my skin so soft and smooth and my nighttime moisturizer works so much better. Obviously be gentle with your skin, don't rub it so hard that you irritate it!

I love that you understand how some products are expensive , like 40$ for a tube of cream is expensive. Where i live you can’t see a dermatologist so you have to see your doctor if you want someting for your face. For my acne my doc got me a prescription for a super small tube of lotion that was like 250$ ?!?! It had fragrance and it only made my skin worse like nooo , you’re the realest out there

Yup especially the olay products that have aluminum in it and literally hurt rubbing it on!!! I let olay have a piece of my mind and they refunded all my money . I was relentless with fact and my reactions to their micro sculpting line they sent me an 80 dollar gift card .
