I saw Queen Maxima at Ascot wearing that dress, and I have to say the photo doesn't do it justice. It looked pinker in real life and the fit was amazing. I saw her very close up at Dukes Lane where the Royals get out of the car and get in to the carriages. She was right in front of me. Beautiful woman.
Love Queen Mary of Denmark in the blue Victoria Beckham blouse ensemble. It looks all so put together. That’s how to wear a Victoria Beckham blouse! 🇦🇺
Best dressed: Queen Matilde of Belgium's white dress with a floral print Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie of Luxembourg's light blue dress Queen Mary of Denmark's gray jumpsuit Queen Matilde of Belgium's white jacket and skirt Queen Sylvia of Sweden's white suit dress Queen Leticia of Spain's white lace shirt and gray pants Princess Leonor of Asturias' Naval uniform Queen Mary of Denmark's green pantsuit Princess Theodora of Greece's yellow printed dress Alexandra De Omma's beige double breasted dress coat Queen Matilde of Belgium's black dress from Pope Francis's visit to Belgium Queen Leticia of Spain's black dress from 2018 Princess Madeline of Sweden's White shirt and gray pants Queen Matilde of Belgium's red dress Queen Mary of Denmark's light blue blouse with a floral skirt and nude heels Worst dressed: Queen Matilde of Belgium's pink and burgundy dress Princess Beatrice of York's black jacket and dress Duchess Sophie of Edinburgh's gray pantsuit Princess Martha Louis of Norway's squinted jacket and skirt Queen Maxima's of the Netherlands' tan dress with a white jacket Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg's black dress from Pope Francis's visit Beatrice Borromeo's tourpe and black outfit Best dressed of the week: Queen Mary of Denmark black and white floral gown from the state dinner Worst dressed: Princess Madeline of Sweden's blue, black, and white dress
The Duchess of York does not have cool coloring and the colors she was wearing (bright blue and strong pink print top) are cool. The outfit walked into the room before her.
@marieargentieri7989 Fergie has always had dreadful taste in clothes. So do her girls. Eugenie still wears awful, frumpy outfits that don't suit her lumpy figure (like her mother) or her colouring. Beatrice looks 100% better - rarely gets it wrong now - since she married a stylish man (designer) who is obviously giving her advice. Her wedding dress was magnificent!
I love Queen Mary’s sense of style. Best dressed for sure, in that lovely skirt and blue blouse. The grey jumpsuit looked like something an airline mechanic would wear, although it fitted her well. Or maybe a WW2 airman? Grey suit on Sophie just looked 2 sizes too big. Thanks for your fun videos
Beatrice's shorter jacket is prefect for multi event day. Business & travel it will hang prefect with no bunching or wrinkles. It is professional. She is there to bring attention to Slavery not a designer's latest whelm. Miss Dior Skirt is a big NO it looks like a fast fashion knock off - zero classic Dior.
@@imahick5723 wow , I hadn’t thought of it that way. However, believe you well may be right! Fergie never seemed to be able to run and catch up with PD (then) and none of the three York women can catch up with PC! That really makes the two girls angry?? At least they seem unhappy all the time, when they are around PC! I dislike how rude they treat PC ! However, I don’t like how all the Yorks play both sides h and tow vs the Royal Family!
Sarah does tend to wear many of her clothes too tight, with no 'ease'. Irrespective of your shape or size, a tiny bit of 'ease' to allow movement and not cling to every lump and bump is far more flattering.
Sophie is an attractive woman but that drab baggy suit does her no favors. Not a fan of Fergie but had she carried a decent handbag she would have looked rather nice. Princess Stéphanie ofLuxembourg looked like she was wearing a nanny's uniform. Worst of the bunch is the Queen of Belgium in the pink & black sawtooth beach shift. For best....Princess Leonor in her Naval uniform and Beatrice Borromeo decked out in Dior chic. (lose the boots) Just my opinions. People can wear whatever makes them comfortable. I do! 😊
I love Mathilde but she does have one issue that is a challenge for her in terms of style --she is short-waisted. Many of outfits that have belts have the wrong belt for her--they are too big/wide. She should always wear a skinny belt or thin belt but she too often chooses to wear the belt that was designed to go with the outfit. I like the suit Sophie is wearing but it's wearing her--its too big for her. The wide trousers and the boxy jacket are overwhelming her. Get the trousers narrowed and nip in the blazer and it would much better for her. Oh please, please would women stop wearing shooties with dresses or skirts!!! It's a cute look for girls, teens, and maybe early 20s--but no one else can pull it off! Totally agree with your best and worst. Queen Mary is fabulous and that skirt and blouse is one of my favorite pairings in her closet. As for worst--Sarah, Sarah, Sarah. Sadly, we have decades of major fashion messes and disasters from her--I think this is just her. No sense of fashion or style and I don't think it can be fixed.
Hi Brittany, sorry I can't agree with many of your choices this time but, poor Sarah, now that was spot on. Not sure about your best choice as to me the shoes don't go & the blouse is so stark it kind of hits the eye & takes away from the skirt, which is a work if art, chefs kiss. Can I just mention though that the background to the photos, it's really off-putting &, I think, takes away from the thing you're supposed to be showing for us to look at, its too stand out & the first time it came up on my phone I had to do a double take to really see what the main picture was. Maybe its my tired old eyes, being a lady of a certain age, but one who loves to keep up with all things Royal & enjoys the young persons perspective, & I think all your channels do a great job in that regard.
Body rocks the shirt/skirt like Queen Mary. I also loved her black and white. I think it’s so responsible to “re-style” so many of her gowns. The young princesses are share their Mothers clothes. Great! ❤
Mary is a big, big spender, but good at pretending to economize. A few years back, only Meghan Markle spent more on clothes than Mary (when Meghan was still part of the British royal family.) Remember, Denmark is a small kingdom, she is ripping us off...
@@asbisi I can’t agree with you. Queen Mary re-styles almost ALL her outfits. The last for decades! Her daughters are wearing them. The Danish Royal Family costs the Danish people considerably less annually than many Royals in Europe. Get your facts!
I really enjoy your videos Brittany! I do prefer it when the outfits you're discussing fill the whole screen rather than just showing in the center as a few of these were. Just my 2 cents worth, given kindly as a longtime and loyal subscriber ❤
Did you ever notice that a lot of royals (British royals, esp) wear their jewelry tone on tone? QEII always wore say, a sapphire brooch on a blue dress, yellow on yellow, green on green, etc. I always wanted her to wear a contrasting color jewelry. Like the opposite on the color wheel, to make it stand out. I like that Queen Maxima & Queen Mary at least try to be a bit more experimental with their jewels.
That 2nd dress, the blue one, looked kinda nanny-ish to me. Like a uniform of some sort. Spot on with Sophie's look. I sort of like Beatrice's look except for the shoes. Reminded me of bedroom slippers. None of the looks were too terrible awful though this week. OK maybe the Miss Dior skirt.
Sorry don’t like the cut or color for Beatrice! It is conservative but not right for her color palette at least to me . The cut isn’t too flattering for her either
My 2 favorite looks we're definitely Mary's black and white evening gown and the final look. Also happy for Stephanie and Mathilde's good looks because I like them but they don't always have the best ensembles.
Mary isn't wearing a jumpsuit. It's pants and a top. Look at the waist. It would have worked with a bright blouse. I think pink would have softened the look.
Queen Mary looks beautiful but its not a jumpsuit its a blouse with trousers and its very fitting. Again the colors and headband you are wearing just look so pretty on you Also the subdued makeup you wear are so classic on you 😍
I agree 100% with your Best Dressed choice. Q. Mary looks perfect in that outfit! The worst dressed is also correct, but I would have had a runner-up in Q. Mathilde and her burgundy/pink disaster. She should burn that one. I think Duchess Sophie's outfit would benefit from a better fit. It's simply too bulky in all the wrong places. I don't think it's a matter of switching one garment to a solid. It's just ill-fitting. Beatrice Borromeo suffers from wearing a skirt that doesn't know it's a skirt. I think she was given that to wear and she frankly did the best she could with it. And TBH, I would give Princess Beatrice a pass. It wasn't that bad. Thanks for posting this! 😊
I really enjoy your video. The only critique I can offer is that your please subscribe at the video runs a little long until the video ends. Maybe just the 1st 3 notes which is long enough for anyone watching to read read the words. Dragging on after that makes me want to click off onto another video making me impatient for the end. But I always enjoy your videos.
@9.48mins Brittany, I REALLY liked, that You referred To, the The youngER son, Which Is RIGHT AND CORRECT, rather Than youngEST, which is Only RIGHT When There Are THREE Or MORE, OF The SAME Gender n Or Children. Thumbs UP for That!!
I think Sophie would have looked great with solid grey pants that fit. Those pants were much too large. Sophie is so beautiful; she looks good in most everything she wears.
In the blue blazer Sarah looks like a British Airways flight attendant from the 1980’s/1990’s . The suit which Sophie was wearing was definitely too much check, either a back jackets or pants would have complimented and toned down the outfit. I agree with your worst dressed choice and though Queen Mary did look pretty in your best dressed choice l am not sure she would have been my first choice. He skirt with Miss Dior emblazoned across it was hideous.😊
Rule of 3 for fashion. Queen Mary is always stunning but to improve her outfit I would do one of the following: wear blue bag or blue shoes if she’s doing a blue top. There are too many colours: white, red blue and beige. Personally I would have worn a white or red blouse and there would be more flow to the outfit, with 4 colours a bit too disjointed but I adore Mary and each piece was wonderful.
That man standing next to Princess Beatrice! How did someone let him leave the house like that! His suit doesn’t fit he looks like a big kid who grew out of his one suit! Oh my!!
Sarah Ferguson just never has gotten it right, even when young. Those boots and the floral tote are hideous. Donna Beatrice has finally worn something I do not like--that is a first. Queen Mathilde's pink & burgundy is such a fashion fail.
I feel the blazer worn by Sophie is fine, but the slacks ruin the look. The slacks are too long and baggy. It also would look better IMO if the slacks were a solid color.
Thank you Brittany, a worthy worse dressed look, sadly if there is a loud choice and a good choice I think Sarah DoY will choose loud every time, sometimes less is more IMO. That suit on the Duchess of Edinuburgh was also a poor choice I think, the shade took away all her natural colour and the cut was just floppy. The Beatrice Boromeo walking bilboard was a good outfit spoiled but | suppose being a walking billboard is somewhat her job. Some lovely looks otherwise though.
The Queen of Belgium is one of 8 women in the world allowed to wear white while meeting the Pope, something reserved only for Catholic royalty- 'Le privilège du blanc' Wiki
Fergie always wore really weird color collectives. Its almost like she sid it to get comments or to be talked about. Her only good look was in her wedding day. She's the reason Beatrice and Eugenie usually looked very 'unusual'... Thank god for Beatrice's husband and his great sence of fashion!
@@RoyalFashionNews it would’ve pulled her waist in a bit instead of her being straight up and down with the buttons right above her tummy area. Just a thought.
The Miss Dior skirt is awful. Rest of the that outfit, even the boots, is fabulous. I do not love Mary’s red purse. I think purses and shoes should match. Everything looks better when shoes and bag match. The outfit though is beautiful. That light blue VB blouse is scrumptious. 🥰
Even when a look is supposedly on the "worst dress" list, Mary looks better than most on the "best dressed." Lol I think Madeline's casual outfit would jave looked even better with a cute pair of flats. I'm sorry to any NYers who had their lives interrupted by all of this UN nonsense.
Frankly, Fergie tries to dress like her daughters but has no fashion sense, the Dior girls were meh. Black or another color would have gone well with those jackets, but I think the tan skirt was either shorts under the skirt or another skirt.
I think Beatrice & Sophie would have been better with a single breasted jacket. They are slightly busty and doubled breasted styles simply don't suit that figure type. I really like Queen Letitia in the jeans and blouse while King Felipe reminds me of King Frederick, Prince Michael and the late King George V, I think it's the beautifully maintained/shaped beards which make them all look very very distinguished and handsome.
I pretty much agree with you. I just love Q. Mary’s looks, especially the printed skirt and blue blouse. She accessorized the outfit perfectly. I’m on the fence about Sophie. Thought Sarah Ferguson’s outfit was awful. While I love edgy styles, Beatrice Borromeo’s outfit was cool and weird at the same time. She’s beautiful and young enough to pull this off…just barely. I’ll cut Dior some slack with the graffiti on the skirt because it was their event. With different boots (she looked liked she was wearing pants) it would have looked much better. Everyone else featured looked pretty good. Thanks, Brittany.
Sarah Ferguson always dresses terribly, usually much too tight and always gaudy, as for the last dior skirt it is hideous to my mind with that great big cutout to the branding over the front, tacky to my way of thinking
