It's been many years since I watched this video the last time, but it's still as funny as back then! I'm Danish, and I've tried my best to translate the video for people who're curious about what's being said in the video. But bear in mind that since it's Swedes' interpretation of the Danish language, there's a few words I couldn't really figure out what meant. But I did my best: Per: Grandpa! Narrator: It will be the best summer of their lives. Per: Mom, this will be the best summer of my life! Mom: Now, don't you do anything silly, Grandpa! Grandpa: Don't you worry. Little Per and I, we're going to have the best summer in all of our lives! Grandpa and Mom: *giggles* Narrator: Together, they frolic in the joys of innocent play. (?) Per: It's wonderful, Grandpa! It's wonderful! Narrator: And together, they experience deep seriousness. Per: Grandpa? Grandpa: Hm? Per: I can't sleep. Grandpa: That can't I do either. Per: *giggles* Grandpa: Watch this, little Per, my boy, how Grandpa does it. Per: But Grandpa, I don't know how to ride a bike... Grandpa: *giggles* That can't I do either! Grandpa and Per: *laughs* Narrator: Inspired by the book of Mogens Videgab Hansen Jensen Hansen, comes a story of friendship between a little little boy, and an old old man. Per: Grandp---!! Grandpa, I can't swim!! Grandpa: Sweetheart, that can't I do either! *laughs* Per: Grandpaaa!
lol I'm Swedish and you understand some lines better than I did. Only thing with the bicycle the grandpa actually says "This is what grandpa has for you". Other than that it was all correct!
@@missamieholly2313 Thank you for the correction! I guess that's what happens when someone tries to speak two languages at once... It becomes almost incomprehensible lol
Nonsense. This is prime, official danish, and then some more. It's like the distillation of a thousand years of danish culture and language condensed into 1 minute and 55 seconds. This clip represents every danish person who ever lived and ever will live, and all their thoughts, hopes and dreams. That's how danish it is.
@Levi Bylander "Lille Per" is a danish movie-series, this however is not danish You are allowed to know the difference, if you cant even do that then go educate yourself xD
One of my Danish friends was showing this to me and trying to translate as it went along but apparently he doesn't understand all of this and I think that's wonderful
I remember first time I saw this I thought it ended out being something perverted, but this is funnier, especially since it pokes fun at danish litterature.
