Convicted rapist and murderer Thabo Bester has accused the state of underhanded efforts to deprive him of a fair trial. Legal analyst Abigail Ngubeni says Bester has a point. Tune into Newzroom Afrika DStv channel 405 for more.
No listen to his argument and remove your biological assumptions, you're an opportunist in law and have zero legal knowledge of CPA , you can hate Thabo but wer injustices are done all must be called out
Innocent until proven guilty, that is what the law says. The law gives everyone a right to security and a right to fair trial. The accused also have a right to be heard. you must always bear those in mind when you discuss legal matters
@@Qothahe should be treated fairly that’s right but he escaped so the security will be tighten he is a high risk. Actually this one is guilty until proven guilty. He was convicted
That one must shut up.he has the nerve to remind the South Africans about his rights whilst the Bereng family is still hurting.sies wa hlanya man.the next thing he comes to court being dressed to kill.he wants to be treated like a king.voertsek Bester
SimphiweButhelezi its easy for peoole to talk when they are not wearing the shoes. Yes Thabo is accused of many things but he is still human, he has a right to express how he feels
He escaped from prison so he must be under strict surveillance and security. But they must afford him the right to consult with his attorneys. But yena is an escape risk. He talks about internal prison rules nothing to fo with his case currently.
Hes allowed but I think he mentioned that his consultations with lawyers are tapped which is against the law. That's why the lawyers are leaving I think
Y this people take soo long to send this people to jail, look now he speaks as he likes, we're did he get the money because he has been under security for long time
With the look of expression on nandipha face I wonder what she's thinking about while thabo is giving his speech as to whether she's agree with what he speaking or she against him to what he is saying
He is allowed to wear what he wants at this stage just like the other accused. He is not on trial for his other convictions so he's allowed to be smart, unfortunately that's the law. I font know why they are not allowing him to wear his other expensive clothes, he has a right to wear them according to law.
If the state had a solid case, Bester matter would have been close to the end. I think he might have school fish to offer in return of lesser sentence.
The problem with South Africa is that we waste time dealing with nonsense issues, while millions of people are suffering. What I's like to know is, what happens to him if the state fails to prove its case?
Criminal addressing judiciary telling them how they must do their work, if it was in other countries after speaking those nonsense they send you to death raw, criminal it criminal he violated his rights by the time he commit crime, thy must not give him that chance again eny more
this thing of rights, our constitution took it too far, how do you rape and murder and wanna tell us about rights when you’ve literally stripped other human beings of their rights….
we've seen what this man has done with freedom, similarly we've seen what he's done in prison. the evidence points to this man unreliability to be held captive in a normal way. For him to even appear in court is a miracle
The audacity. Does anyone not realize they keep postponing the trial because this man is probably buying time to escape again. This is what manipulators do
Thabo Bester escaped from prison, fled South Africa and now he complains? Hmmm... Also I wonder why there's so much of that woman crying, isn't this supposed to be about him talking?
A monster should be treated like one! This guy was already convicted for murder and rape of WOMEN! Imagine how he would be treated in Botswana. Inswelaboya le!
he is talking sense. this case involve high profile people and they will never allow him to get a fair trial because he will name drop so many high profile people.
He talks a lot of sense. We do not live under apartheid laws but under a constitutional democracy. The constitution dictates how people should and should not be treated. Our law says people are innocent until proven guilty. Our law gives every acussed person a right to fair trial. Accused people have a right to be heard. There are criminal procedured that serve as guidelines on how to handle legal processes which aim to prevent abuse of rights of accused. We can not rely on sentiments when we deal with crime or legal matters while we have laws that guide us
Why pho eqe ejele if kungekho ubufakazi bento agwetshele yona and kanti yini emufake ejele before aze njeh acabange ukweqa this is dangerous person emphakathini so don't listen what he saying
Like people who said he must rod in jail as if they tested how it is like to be in jail some of them can die in few days in prison,it is not a cup cake to be in that place regardless you are accused wrong or right
Yes he should be treated like the other prisoners witch is only fair but I must say he is very learned he is not wrong in asking to be treated like other prisnors
