Brian, I have a couple of these. I'd like to suggest replacing the carpet with anti-slip mats, like you would use in tool boxes, in place of the provided carpet. This will keep your weapon from sliding around if you leave it in the lock box while driving.

It would have been good if you had moved the seat back to the proper driving position. If the box sticks out that far, it still is signalling something is in here. Thank you for sharing and be safe.

Good video, thanks for posting. I purchased one of the Harbor Freight boxes and with the cable secured it beneath the rear jump seat. I've noticed it does slide around, and I'm working on some velcro or something to keep it in place.

It’s definitely better than throwing it in the glove box, but that lock is only 1 flat head screwdriver away from entry. I think the real benefit of that box is it’s location. It’s probably 1 of the last places someone will look for valuables.

So, you couldn't find a spare knife lying around could put in there? This under seat survival drawer looks better than an altoids tin. I wonder what else could go in there.

For LPL it would take a few seconds to break into. For us it would probably take about the same amount of time since this guy installed it incorrectly. We could just run off with the box open it with a hammer at home

Installing it correctly wouldn't have lifted up your seat at all. The whole reason for putting it under the seat frame is to make it hard to get out . If you would have installed it correctly It can't be removed without taking all 4 seat bolts out . By doing what you did you made it simple to steal the entire box and run away . A thief could have that box out inseconds. you should have just used your glove box instead of wasting your money .

I would not put it over the seat like you did. A thief could not get a tool under those tabs and break them off

All that box for a drawer that won't slide all the way out forcing you to dig for extra stuff towards the back.👎🏼

Sorry, not impressed. That whole rigging is flimsy as hell, guy with a pair of pliers would have the goods inside a minute. May be good to keep the 6 year old out, but that's about it.
