project for digital recording 2. I ran out of time to balance the footsteps and just handed the project in. I did not want to spend anymore time on it so this is what you get. Stop telling me the footsteps are louder because I am aware😭😂
@@gwenminor9244Drew Seeley only did Troy's singing voice in the 1st movie because all of the songs were written for a tenor and Zac Efron is a baritone. It's why all of Troy's vocals are lower in pitch in HSM2 and 3.
K but imagine if Disney's "high school musicals" actually happened. Like you worked at this country club and you randomly saw this dude enthusiastically singing and dancing passionately on the grass
I like to imagine that every time a song plays in a musical, it's just plays in the imagination of the singer and everyone who isn't included sees something like this as a result...
Imagine the plot for schools out the musical, I’ll bet only Timmy was singing and the people who he thought were joining him were just watching him and laughing at him and in reality timmy sounded like crap. Would make this show even more depressing if you ask me.
You might appreciate the genius of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. It's hard to tell sometimes that it's all in her head, but moments like the Sexy Getting Ready song are just so good But if you want to keep it Disney, pay close attention in that Belle/Bonjour song to the lady in the background as Belle approaches the fountain thing. The lady is minding her own, washing her laundry then Belle approaches and starts singing "Ahhhh....isn't it a-maze-ing...." The lady starts looking around then realizes Belle's singing again, scowls, gathers her laundry and storms off like "...only peaceful place in town to do laundry where people aren't singing, then freakin' Belle comes along singing to a herd of sheep!" 😂
This made me realize a lot of things. 1) this movie was shot in the most gorgeous place on earth 2) Zach really gave this his all. This was such a cringy idea, but somehow Zach giving his all to the performance really sold it even when the music is stripped away. 3) I love how overly saturated this whole movie is. It seems like every modern movie is so devoid of color and I miss this nostalgic cinematic choice. Really made it feel even more spectacular than it already was. 4) Zach was fine as hell
I remember when this came out and at that age I was starting to realise the gravity of big decisions and this drama that Troy went through started to hit different. Now, I see a teenager contemplating life whilst running through a golf course and don't understand how this impacted my life so much at the time 😂
@@TheQuashingoftheTub from what I remember they started with this and it took 2 out of the 6 weeks of filming to film (disclaimer I remember this from watching bts as a kid so I could’ve misremembered 😂)
@@alexandregrand-pierre1981 I remember rewatching it again and the DVD has a behind the scenes. The director was talking about the choreography so seriously and the whole time I couldn't stop laughing 😭
I’d like to think this is what it was like on the day for Zac. No background track, just him walking around and doing the choreography while mouthing the words
Because of the High School Musical 2: Fun in the Sun deluxe DVD pack I can gladly tell you it was very much this, with the addition of Kenny Ortega actually miming the movements/dance steps he wanted as well as telling Zac over and over to be MORE dramatic. I think I watched the behind the scenes just as much as the actual movie😂
That’s next level attention to detail how the voice fades as he does a spin since he’s not facing the camera. I also love how he says “heart is bweaking” 😂
I always like to think that this song was diagetic, and it was actually Troy just running around the golf course singing and being angsty. THIS IS WHAT EVERYBODY AT THE CLUB SAW AND HEARD. XDDDD This was the real scene. This is hilarious.
When I was background acting this is exactly how things were. We had a scene for “prom” where the music is loud and everyone was dancing on film but while filming it was pitch quiet other than actors doing their lines All you heard was peoples footsteps on the dancefloor😂
Does anyone know the old cartoon adaptation of Snow White called Happily Ever after?! That scene reminds me of it. It’s actually pretty sad lol. Idk the name but there’s a little gremlin type character in it.
You know something weird? As a kid I saw this as just a over dramatic song number….. now that I’m 25 listening to some of the lyrics…. I feel attacked 😂
I actually haven’t heard the full version of this song, but I watched this entire video. So I’m now convinced that this version is better without listening to the original lol
The footsteps being louder than the distant singing is peak. Is the grass just crunchy or is he just a soft singer? The world may never know. Oh my god the extra loud water splash got me I was doing so well
Husband: Hey Hun? Wife: Yeah? Husband: Our son is doing that dramatic dancing and singing again in the backyard Wife: He’s fine hun I think he’s just having one of those days **The husband calls a therapist**
I expected just pure grass/sand sounds and otherwise utter silence, but the realistic singing (like based on the distance to the camera), the breathing and the other sound effects like when he hits the water... COMEDY GOLD, I loved it! XD Thank you for making my day!
OK but the fact that this song is about choosing your girlfriend or a basketball team is so funny like the lyrics make it seem like life or death decisions like he literally says, am I going to question every move I make😂😂😂😂
Well... more like choosing between his friends (and girlfriend) and good prospects for university and his future. Truth be told though, always found the way his friends antagonized him in this movie very petty and toxic. Why would good friends turn their backs on you simply because you're getting good breaks in your life?
