Woolie LITERALLY talking over the Forza Motorsport devs TELLING HIM, YOU CAN PLAY THE GAME IF YOU'RE BLIND, WHILE HE'S ASKING CAN YOU PLAY THE GAME IF YOU'RE BLIND LMAO
Tale as old as time. Like reggie explaining why he knows about youtube kids despite not being a parent followed immediately by woolie saying nobody could ever know without being a parent.
Ghostwire’s biggest fail was it was distilled into an FPS. I think a character action with the same energy is what we all want, and hopefully Kemuri delivers that.
and now that lady dev can take the reboot that creepypasta aspect of Ghostwire and turn it into what seems to be Redfall But Weird Wait no thats a bad thing
I personally think its fine if woolie wants to lp a game he's already beaten. So I don't think he should force himself not to play something he's interested just to save it for an lp.
Damn, expected Woolie to react more to Elphelt's reveal being the exact same leaked artwork. It's been mentioned enough elsewhere, but it really did feel like the ratio to reveals and trailers was way too high compared to awards. They always breeze through a bunch but not letting anyone speak for longer than like 30 seconds before being played off was pretty disrespectful. At this point, just make it into Winter Games Fest because Dorito Pope clearly doesn't actually care about awards.
Of all the corporate moves on display in this show, none make my blood boil like undercooked releases like Cyberpunk sneaking their way into the “ongoing” game category; a category for MMOs up to this point. Then winning the award over games designed to be years long experiences.
Woolie, you're great, and I know this wasn't something done knowingly or out of actual malice, but it *really* sucks to do the James Somerton-level fangirl bit over Neil Newbon right as he calls out support for sexual assault survivors
Kind of sucks but isometric CRPGs really trailer bad. Especially when they are not AAA like Rouge Trader. Closest you get is Baldur's Gate which really they got interest by not really showing the game. Like even saying choices matter is kind of a played out trope and you can't really say, "no they actually matter, not in the Starfield or Cyberpunk way where 1 choice out of 1,000 actually do something, but there are effectively 5 games in this 1 package!" That and a lot of CRPGs is wrapped up around a lot of complex un intuitive systems you have to get use to and it's also hard to sell people on you can be anything you want as long as you want to do homework.
I love Woolie, but I can't stand that he demands gameplay from every trailer. Not only are most of these games not ready to have gameplay shown, but these trailers are mostly about selling the concept. I understand not getting a game unless you've seen the gameplay, but refusing to get hyped just because you haven't is cowardice.
We've been burned so many times man, you're right but these things can be so damn disappointing or downright decictful. It's like a learned defense mechanism
Gameplay is nice but I'm perfectly fine with a concept trailer up front and gameplay later. We can have more than one trailer in a marketing campaign after all.
Be me Hear Super Masive Blackhole with space game trailer "Ohh I've heard this song" Woolie gets hype for Muse Go relisten to SMBH Didn't realize Muse is one of the greatest bands of all time Am now a Muse fan
Most of these games looked really dull & unimpressive. Bunch of games that look like Fortnite. The very overrated Unreal Engine 5 & Unity. It's the "i don't know how to program & need to make some cheap piece of shit in 14 months that should take me 3 years" Engines. Only exception I can think of is Disco Elysium. Also Unreal said for the past 3 years their Engine would focus on being geared towards movies. No idea why it's being used for game at all. Unreal Engine 3 & 4 were excellent. Just use those.
