Alex’s voice sounds so scratchy, it’s kinda cool. I like the little accents he does on a few of the lines. But the album version is so much smoother. This song is still awesome though, and I like to see the original thought.
This version is more clean than the album's version. And when I found up the Arctic Monkeys for the first time, I only listening the demo's version. Even if after I found up the album's version, I think the demo have more strengt and life...
@@AyalMorann dude that’s awesome! I went to school to be an audio engineer but I sadly dropped out. Once I got to pro tools I gave up. But the most fun I had was recording local artists, mixing and mastering. It almost didn’t feel like school it just felt like fun. But yea pro tools made me hate music 😂😂
@@AyalMorann Ableton, that’s what one of my teachers had told me to use and what he records on. I still use Logic Pro and sometimes garage band on my phone 😂 But stock sounds suck.
***** Yeah... I don't know what I was thinking... Oddly enough I actually changed skin on my set just yesterday... The size, material and snare do matter though...
i cant belive ive been listining to this album the whole time instead of Whatever, have to say after listening to the real album that ritz is the only boardwalk song i prefer.
I still prefer their demo to, pretty much everything theyve ever done since. I remember listening to this on my old brick of an iPod first year of university....sigh.
way better than the album version, and all subsequent live versions. it seems they forgot why the song works. it's the staccato guitar riff. the playing is totally in the pocket on this version, not so much since
Alex said in an interview that they changed the lyrics to this song cos some of the original lyrics were awful. Anyone know if it still exists anywhere?
We blessed and lucky people who discovered arctic monkeys with this version will always obviously prefer it. It does sound way better than the other version. This one is raw, rad , the other one is the usually fucked up album industrial version that tries to improve it, when in reality they forgot that sometimes less is more
I think he just sounds like that, it sounds like he only has more voice cracks because of, possibly, his voice changing knowing how young he was while singing this
