Sir definitely one mistake is there beta carbon means number 3 carbon not 2 ,1 number carbon is -COOH , alpha ( number 2 carbon) is after that CH2 after that beta carbon (3 number ) CH2 ..👍

I think alpha carbon is the one near to carboxyl group(cooh) But u named carbon of carboxyl group as alpha carbon Kindly clear this.

He is committing not a mistak but a BLUNDER ! The functional group carbon is not a aplha but called carbon number 1, The aplha carbon comes next to the carbon number one !
