If anyone is wondering the VIP beta is accessible on ONLY the Gold Edition from what I’m seeing on the PS5… It will run from August 13th - 18th which is odd The open Beta is from August 27th - 30th and will be available to everyone from what I saw 💯 Any Questions let me know down below 👇 💪 EDIT: Turns out the “Open Beta” is now Closed and For Pre-Orders… If that was a Typo it should’ve been fixed QUICK
As always, great video Blocked. Honestly that the open beta lets people try the game like 5 days before early access launch is super fair, it is weird but nice. Also regarding 5:02 the Xbox Build (VIP Beta?) is 46.26GB currently. Steam PC Demo in June was 45.4GB. It is currently downloadable on Xbox but cannot be launched. I'm excited to play on August 13th.
@@zaiyaiyai Yeah I don’t think it’s terrible either because they seem to be on point with stuff so far, and I thought you should able to download it early which is awesome!! I’m very excited for it too 💯
One thing I am concerned about it, besides the playability on PS5 without PS+ is if we dont like it during the VIP Beta period is if we can return it before the launch date.
Need for speed get a lot of hate but they do a great job building a city and making it feel alive and fun to drive around. If they went a little more realistic on the physics and added a cockpit view I would chose it over forza
Said this myself ages ago and had a argument with others the lack of testing of the console betas gives them very little time to optimise if there’s any major issues as you know each platform can bring up its issues and bugs isn’t a promising sign but will roll with it
Well am sure they will be working on a day 1 patch right now if the console build is old because I’d imagine the game should be at its Gold stage soon I think the open beta is for everyone to play not just pre orders as nothing mentioned on the other editions
@@Chris2007_x I’m thinking they’re prepared as well, and yeah there’s two beta’s from what I saw online with being the “VIP” then there’s a second one right after that’s open which I’m guessing should be in the store a few days before
During the PC demo they made improvements literally everyday but the last 2 I think. I have faith that they probably have the console versions in a better state since its the same hardware and easier to test versus everyone with goofy PC setups that cannot run it. If things need to be adjusted I'm sure they will make tweaks during. Although that last beta is really close to launch but I can only hope they've taken everything from all the betas and its the final version and it is their last final test and hopefully do not need to make any tweaks but to server issues if at all. The handling was improved when AlexVII went to Paris and we do know the beta we played on PC was a year old. We just have to hope this final build is as good as they say. I know a lot of people are already turned off but hopefully they have fixed everything and can have a banger launch!

I did see something about the Demo build being older which makes a lot more sense, hopefully the Beta will give players more incentive to get it because I’m excited for this game and it want it to do great!! 💪

@@Blockedinsight I can't guarantee it will run well since i don't have any infos but if there's one thing to do right it's the console versions. You'll most likely get the most recent and stable build they had which will be similar at 99% to the release build i'd say. The PC demo build we had back thanks to a bit of investigation was mostly the playtest #3 base with improvements here and there but missing a lot of content and improvements that can't be backported for either compatibility or ressources reasons since when you plan a test or such you actually have to separate a build from the main branch and allocate a small team to make sure it is stable for what you want people to test but it takes times and this build usually is 1 month if not more behind. Wait and see i guess

@@Blockedinsight Yeah we all have PTSD from at least one game that released in a bad state in the last 5 years. The worst that can happen is networking issues and stability for TDUSC honestly but seeing how they communicate and how fast they fixed some issues even for a demo build is quite impressive. I know it's kinda hard when you're hyped and a game just released and there's an issue but always take breath and think a bit further than what you're experiencing, look at how many people have the same issue, how fast the team acknowledges it and how fast they manage to fix it, that's a statement to how effective they are and it also helps to not ruin the game's reputation in the long run which is crucial for TDUSC. I've played at least 100 hours of this game already and those hours were put in very early versions of the game and yet i still had fun and i always said "All this game needs is network stability, optimization and all the content planned for launch". It might not be for everyone at launch but it will most likely be a game that keeps getting more and more players with the years and updates coming in just like BeamNG. They've got a good physics engine, very good sounds, a crazy map that can be expanded and stuff added in it with time, more cars, more content.
@@MrQuicheProductions Agreed 1000%, I also played the third Playtest and the demo on the PC recently and I also really enjoyed it!! I think it has tons of potential and I also like they seem to be listening to the community and getting things changed, I really like that!! Funny thing I even had a video planned for that because Many suffer from the lack of Communication… Motorfest is unfortunately one of them, NFS Unbound has hate but I’m glad the team working on it is really interactive with the fan base!!

The demo was a very old build confiremd by kt and Alex has showed gameplay if the newest build of test Drive unlimited Solar crown and it has been improved by alot even steering wheel animation even the graphics and physics and after launch they will even add houses and garages this game will be fire🔥🔥🔥

It's really not that uncommon for there to still be some issues in a (early VIP) beta that goes out a month before the game releases. I played The Crew Motorfest beta last summer and there were definitely some issues, but the whole point of doing it is for devs to identify and address issues that they can polish up. When TCM came out after the beta, pretty much all of the issues had been addressed and I had no issues playing it. So I don't think we really need to be worried or acting dramatic about Solar Crown as it relates to the beta. I genuinely am sure that it will be fine. Besides pretty much all games now have some issues at launch. Whatever it is they will fix it. I mean FH5 was borderline unplayable for the first couple weeks, especially on PC, and it's still one of the most popular/most played racing games of all time.

I’m also guessing the Beta is an earlier build for Consoles as well, TCM’s beta was decent even though in the main game now there’s a good amount of issues coming after each update… I do know the Crew Joining issues on there are still a problem 10 months into the games life, but I do think TDUSC beta/Full game will be good 🔥
@@Blockedinsightyeah that is true. And obviously it's not an excuse that all modern games have issues. It's unfortunate, but I guess that's the trade-off for how complex and detailed games have become compared to 10 to 20 years ago. If anything, my hope is that Solar Crown will have less issues compared to TCM just due to the fact that it is on somewhat of a smaller scale since it doesn't have hundreds of different vehicles and multiple vehicles types. Maybe it's wishful thinking. Lol

@@jvani15 You will have to restart from the beginning when the game fully releases, but they will probably have the Beta capped at level 16 or something like the PC Demo
shouldn’t they do the open/free beta before the vip because now if I want to play vip beta I have to risk spending 60- 80 odd £ which is stupid if i don’t like it
@@noahwilliams8504 Yeah that probably would have made sense, I’ve noticed basically all new games do it this way though.. The only good thing is you can check out gameplay on it and then decide if you want jump in and try the open beta
I’ve waited so long for a new Test Drive game but the fact the beta is two weeks before the early access for the gold edition is really concerning but hopefully it’s worth it but I’ve seen mixed reviews from PC gamers
@@Blockedinsight probably. They’ve pushed out a few updates for the game a week or two ago so I think they’re trying to fix the bugs in advance. I just wonder if it’ll be separate from the game installed or it’ll be a separate demo

@@itskingpun I 100% agree, Motorfest was pretty disappointing compared to The Crew 2… I feel like it went forwards but also backwards at the same time, it’s funny because I legit enjoy NFS Heat more than Unbound 😂😭 I will also make a post/Video when the Beta is Downloadable or how it works 🔥

I just hope the special edition cars you pay extra cars are in your garage, ready to use for free once you reach the specific level to hse the cars. Unlike in nfs unbound palace edition. you paid extra for a car livery and an emote and the worst thing. You still had to buy the palace edition cars with your in-game currency 💀💀💀
Thanks for saying it downloads. How do I find it on the PS5 to download. I have the gold edition. Says 38 days to launch I bought tdusc 64 days to launch.

I got the Gold Edition for the Xbox Series X, i can't wait but i wish we had a demo earlier like PC. They had like 3 beta's and the demo we can play is almost before the release lol.
People shouldn't be preordering anyway (it's not the smart thing to do nowadays) but if they must then the sensible thing to do would be to try out the open beta because that's going to stress test those servers an awful lot more and give a better indication as to it's 'always online' capabilities. If it doesn't make the grade (or the game is just plain rubbish) then at least you can exercise your right for a refund. Remembering, of course, that you only have yourself to blame if you keep your preorder and it all goes pear-shaped.

I want a TDU sequel so bad and I want this game to succeed. But I'm also so worried right now that is going to flop. TDU1 was such a good game. However TDU2 was a disaster despite being so similar. The difference with Solar Crown is back then Internet didn't matter as much as it does today. And there is already a lot of negativity. Will see. Please be a good Beta 🙏

Their game is finished by that time, Idk if u know but it was an older build that the demo was on, so they already made improvements and the demo was basically to test servers, thats how developement works.

Their toying with their buyers like its funny or someshit, im not excited about the release of this game tbh, quite simply i just got me a 50th anniversary Yamaha R1 so ill be outside anyways, they can keep their vip BETA and official game. The Test drive unlimited 2 will never be defeated.
