The best comparison between the two games Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown demo (2024) and The Crew Motorfest (2023), I will compare the most important similarities, physics, details, textures and special places in the game. The entire video was created by myself (GameLight).
After many years of waiting, the Test Drive Unlimited series finally continues with the much-anticipated Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown! Set for release in September 2024, the game promises to bring the thrill and luxury of open-world racing to new heights. Test Drive Unlimited Solar crown is currently available in demo versions, and a lot of things will change and be fixed during the release days. Edit: In The Crew Motorfest, there is overheating of the brakes, but this detail is missing on the car I tested (Mustang S650) Update 6/16/2024: The developers are trying and fixing the problems that arose in the demo, we are waiting for the full release. I was gunna say something similar. Motorfest has been out for a while with a much larger studio working on it to fix bugs and such, these guys were kinda forced to launch a bit early IMO with Forza set to come out for End of Year and GTA coming out next year, I reckon if they didn't have that it'd be delayed a bit longer but their hand feels like it's been forced to a degree. I wouldn't say it's an 'early' demo, the private betas have been going since last year - with that said I doubt this is the latest version but is probably the closest thing to a stable build which is the first to be publicly available. I was hoping it would be more polished being this close to launch but I've seen some studios make massive changes between demo and launch even with short time frames, so I hope these guys can do the same. They seem dedicated to making the launch as good as possible which seems promising.

You should’ve compared steering wheel rotation and paddle shifter movement because in motorfest the paddles actually move when you shift which is very rare to see in open world racing games. I feel those two details are small but very appreciated

This happens when you move faster than your Harddrive could load model and texture area data into the Ram. That's why SSDs are essential for today's Games. Just as Games grow bigger and bigger, the Data packages for Game files to load into the System increase likewise. nerdmode off.

スピードトリップなどのマップ上のレース内容・レース後の3位までの車とアバターの演出・クルーコインと同じようなコインの存在・車両カスタマイズの中身・マップに点在する車両パーツ探しなど今判明しているだけでもほぼザ・クルーでそこに少しフォルツァホライゾン要素があるだけのゲームと変わらないですね。私たちは別の会社が作ったザ・クルーのようなゲームをやりたかったのではなくて、テストドライブが現代でどれだけ進化したかを体験したかっただけなのに残念です。

Tdu solar crown comes soon out, I don’t think there will be big changes possible in this short time. Some car models they did take are from tdu2 and not new scanned what is just poor. I think this game will die so fast like the crew motorfest.

Eden Games worked on developing TDU as a product for Atari, the publisher who gave them rights, Atari sold the rights so Nacon, as the owner of TDU as a whole has rights to re-release tdu/tdu2 or use whatever part of those games in another game. Looking at how small their studio is, I think its still better than seeing all those UE5 scams with pre-purchased assets which run like crap.

I hate to say it, but I got bored so fast with TCM. I feel like that series was directly inspired by the TDU franchise, yet it never managed to capture the unique charm that TDU 1 & 2 had. As long as Solar Crown is able to capture that vibe, even with a certain degree of unpolish at launch, I know I will still enjoy it.

Fake The Crew Motorfest brake didn't shine, I did the test 3 times and it shined without any problems. The error may be in the speed of the car, where if it can last up to 200km, there is a good chance that it won't actually become dazzling.

Man sieht die Demo für den PC und als XBS X Gamer mit 4K UHD denke ich wie schlecht wird das neue Test Drive mit den aktuellen Konsolen ( ausser XBS S ) aussehen !!! Keine Demo für Konsolen > kein Kauf . Dazu permanenter Onlinezwang wie in Motorfest oder Forza Motorsport ( 8 ) für Solo Gamer , das alles für 90 Euro ab 05.09.2024 ist sehr fraglich TDvzu kaufen . TD1 und TD2 / XB360 hätte man auch grafisch polieren können für meine XBS S + meine XBS X , dann wäre ich zufrieden gewesen . TD3 ist nicht das einzige Arcade Rennspiel für XB & Co.

I know ot was just a demo, and the devs said that it was an old version, but i dont understand this, why would the give us an older and less developed version as a demo and not a beta test or something like that? With the game releasing in 3 months i have little to no hope for lot of improvements, so im staying with Motorfest on my PlayStation and TDU 1 2006 Platinum Mod on my PC, because yeah, tou can enjoy both, this one's for tou copium fanboys, tou can enjoy multiple games from different sagas at the same time, there's no need to hate on one just cuz u like another, that only shows how braindead u are by defending ur fav game like if you had it on a pedestal, nobody will laugh at you or hate you cuz u enjoy NFS or The Crew instead of Forza or Asetto Corsa, just enjoy what you like and dont be offensive to people with different tastes, is not that hard

It's not in its early stages. It's three months out from release, it's in its final stages. This is typically when a game is going gold and finalisation for bug fixes and QA testing are being done.

@@qwertiak How they destroyed wrc games? They got decent reviews, physics are kinda.. interesting, but not bad. They sure didn't got Dirt Really 2 trailers, teasers, advertisement everywhere because Nacon isn't quite there as a publisher, but the games were fine. I still hope they make something out of this, I want to have another open world racing game that isn't nfs and also isn't another "festival so fun!" clone.

It's three months out from release; they're in content lockdown. Only thing changing from now until release are bug fixes.

@@Billy-bc8pk exactly, not to mention after countless delays it’s disappointing the current state of the game. I remember playing motorfests first play test and it was very similar if not exactly to what the finished product was, actually we had working mirrors in the first motorfest play test but I’m guessing they had to disable them for last gen consoles on release

Played TDU demo and couldn't believe how bad it looks and plays. Absolute abomination. Car gearings and sounds are like it's from a far cry game.
