I forgot to say this last video but Willow is now more of a witch than ever since now she can use magic, which makes it ironic we can’t burn the witch

The controlled burning skill needs a toggle

The on fire bernie skill looks good for hordes like splumonkeys, but you need alot for it so idk could be tweaked. It should set attacking enemies on fire, that would be useful.

setting bernie on fire should be called Controlled Berning. I like this

I do feel like some of the other characters could get small reworks to their buffs, *These* feel really well tuned to the character, but some of the others are not so,, in character? I guess?

so it seems like willow is a wild card in all of this. aslong as you give her something to burn she is on your side.

The lighting Bernie should come with more defense but I also don't understand why that doesn't have a chance to light enemies on fire when he hits them. I know he is mostly for nightmares and tied to sanity but I feel like he needs a little more fire synergy. Maybe also the more insane Willow is he does more fire damage or something like that.

Some of the wormwood skills feel like a plant thing but not really a fitting plant thing. It's like looking for gardening supplies in a dollar tree, sure they have some supplies but it's mostly knock off something

My biggest issue with Willow's skilltree is that Bernie is a goddamn insight hog. Setting Bernie on fire to give him retaliation damage i one of his better skills, but it also requires 8 out of his 9 other skills to be taken first, meaning that you'll have to take skills for him that you don't really need or want, and once you got it you only have a grand total of 6 points left for Lighter and Affinity skills, which is where the much more interesting stuff lies. As for nixing firespread and shortening the burn time of structures, the no firespread thing was honestly necessary from a gameplay standpoint, as Willow's greates problem on the multiplayer scene was always griefing. You can't do anything with Willow without risking burning down the communal base and everybody's loot. But with firespread turned off, she becomes much safer and much less infuriating to deal with. The shortened burntime, on the other hand, functions as a response to the nerfed charcoal farming capabilities. Without firespread to burn an entire forest in one go, shortening burntime means that she still has to waste less time gathering charcoal than whe would have. I get the issue about nerfing sanity farming by curbing her firemaking skills though. Her Affinity skills are fine IMO, and they are well curated in that they cost 6+7 Insight to unlock both branches, since it leaves a perfect 2 Insight to purchase both the Bernie affinity and the Fire affinity. That in particular entreats me to reiterate the issue with Bernie's best skill hogging all the points, as you no longer can afford to spec into the Lighter affinity skills, which are by far the strongest in the tree IMO. Do enjoy the concept of hugging Bernie to tekporarily scare off Shadow Creatures as an alternative to the Hotheaded skill though, you should suggest that on the forum if you haven't already.

I hope wendy will come soon with a skill tree, but these skill trees give me great hope

The fire witch top hat skin is a lot more fitting now

Like, I'd somewhat argue for the increase light radius, except the fireball spell seems like a much better two cost investment all the way, making the increased light radius useless. Just go for the fireball and all the other utility from it. I'd bundle the increased light radius into the hungry flame and fireball perk, and replace the existing light radius perk into fuel efficiency or something!

I think they should have made willow at least have to use the fire staff for these fir skills. Or at least make spells a lot weaker while not holding a fire staff.

yeah they should make it so If u use a fire staff or maybe even torch then it spreads. but lighter doesnt spread or somethin, idk

the mini dwarf star Willow can make will be very usefull in co-op during winter if fuel is getting low at night

I wish they add some moon glass to the paws, feet, and mouth of Bernie's lunar form design it will make him look more like an real grizzly bear and can do more damage to non nightmare mobs.

How do you open the skill tree on console I cannot figure this out after returning from a long break

As much as it is a downside for Willow's fire to burn things faster, it actually makes sense for her overall to have things burn faster since her fire powers are stronger, therefore her fire is hotter so it'll burn things faster

Btw, Willows affinity spells benefit from her new damage boost spell, chili spice, volt goat jelly, enlightened crown, warbus helmet, etc. She can do like up to 2000 damage with one cast🔥

I think the fireball spell is better than people think, first its area of effect sanitty- great- whatever- but, with it you should be able to grow crops underground without a yellow staff

Really i think the "controlled fire" ability preventing fires we start from preventing is more good than bad, more often than not trying to use fire in combat, even excluding burnable loot turning into ashes, ends up backfiring when we burn more than just the thing we want to kill, which is even worse with friends

Would it be better if the lighter was the only item that made it so flames don’t spread?

I don't know the last time I played this game. and now it looks like I have to play again

instead of bernie having a higher threshold why not let us deploy at will for sanity or embers or something

light radius skills are probably made with lights out in mind.

if we think about all skill trees wolfgangs is threshiest off all and others looks like magnificient i think when every charecter get a skill tree and need to change wolfgangs hes tree is just quality of life why anbody needs auto lifting

Burning burnie should make him put things on fire equal to willows fire and the fire buff of 25% damage

I’m struggling to figure out how to get get the affinity skills do I have ti reset my skill tree?

Wigfrid's skills seem rather straightforward and reliable. Willow's new spells although befitting a pyromaniac who may have studied the wildside of the Shadow Manipulator, Ancient Pseudoscience, and/or picking Wortox's brain for forbidden magical knowledge (cough, stealing burned souls, cough)... But her new powers are definitely a bit more cookoo for Cocoa Puffs than most.

I do hope that they imrpove Willow's skill tree.

They put lots of magic skills but nothing about red/blue/purple/orange/green/yellow staves.

In my opinion light tree is ok and really fun (2 skills for more light is better wilson torch skills) bernie tree shuld get little buff (and rework speed skills) and fire bernie shuldnt cost 7 other skills in this tree and last (lunar-shadow) tree shuld give bernie some special ability not only protection/attack but willow side is ok

Man, willows is a bit mid in my opinion

As an old Willow main, I gotta be honest, this new tree is quite disappointing. The only skill I really like is the great value dwarf star, but the rest of it kinda just feels like filler perks. Which when 95% of the skill tree is filler... Let's just say I'm not exactly excited to try and go back to Willow.
