Testing betaflight 4.4 GPS rescue landing, and flying some freestyle. Will be doing some walksnail range testing soon and another build video. #betaflight #drone #fpvdrone #walksnail #dji #fpvfreestyle
If you have GPS, barometer, and compass, just use INAV. It can do RTH way better than BF. The version 7 even have feature to start linear descent at desired distance from home. It can also do position hold and autopilot. It even has RTH trackback feature in case you are losing signal behind trees or hill, so your drone doesn't go straight to home location and crashing into the trees. I broke motor when testing BF autolanding, since then I only run BF on non GPS drone.
Awesome video man! Sliding under your truck is crazy! I designed and 3d printed “tundra” wheels for a five inch drone. Let me know if you would like to try a set out..
Dude the under truck skid!! From the opening teaser I totally was nervous for it man! Lol guess Ill have to order some skid guards this week now! Thanks for sharing! 🔥
Backup your config, delete all the gps rescue and angle/horizon mode lines, then flash 4.5 rc2... Rescue there is WAY improved. Set baud to 57600, pidloop to 4k, turn on gps ublox auto config.
@@upnorthFPVandEUCthe Betaflight rescue wiki explains it, you have to set stage 1 correctly. I will post a video soon, I already made it but it's private.
Hey dude I couldn't help but see that it looked like the cars had WA plates on them! I'm a pilot from Spokane that works in Seattle and have been trying to find some dudes in the hobby to hang out with and get me started up. The thought of building a high-end high budget freestyle quad is all I have been thinking about but not sure what or where to actually get started.
@@andrewmedia3568 you should post up a shopping list start to finish of a top of the line big budget freestyle build! I’m talking everything, goggles, radio, the whole 9 yards.
@@justinwalsh816 I just ordered parts for a Premium freestyle build. Ill be doing a build video on it. as for premium gear. Radio - Radiomaster boxer ELRS version. Frames - Apex evo, rotor riot moxy, botgriner demibot, flyfishRC volador. FC/ESC stack - Speedybee F405 v3 or v4, speedybee f7 stack. motors - iflight xing, T-motor, brotherhobby, RCinpower, flyfichRC Flash. Receivers - pretty much any ELRS RX. I usually always go for the diversity ones VTX- DJI O3 Air Unit, hands down best on the market. Goggles - DJI Goggles 2, Best goggles money can buy right now.
Your GPS Rescue looks like maybe stock settings or just needs tweaking. You can get it to fly smoother and land softer. That is always fun to watch tho lol A BF FPV kwad doing rth and auto landing is pretty great.
I have changed most if not all settings. I am used to setting it up for heavy 7" LR quads. I think my descent speed is to high and maybe throttle hover is off for the weight of the 5" quad. Either way I was impressed with BF 4.4 ability to come back and auto land so close to the takeoff point. definitely need some tweaks to the GPS rescue though.
I know. I actually had made the video but didn't post it because I messed parts of it up and didn't want to confuse people or put bad info out there. that being said I just got some samsung 21700 cells that ill be using for some 4s long range packs. same size cells as the p42a. And I will be making a video with those showing how to make 4s packs and ill explain how to make 6s as well.
