The Bob 57 is really a nice drone, been flying it for a couple of months now, coming from a nazgul 5' I had to adjust a bit but now woulndt like to go back for an all-rounder drone
As long as your radio has elrs and the drone receiver is elrs they will bind and work fine. Just make sure the receiver is 2.4ghz. There is elrs 900mhz but it’s not very common for freestyle quads. A 1400 6s would be fine. Make sure you get 6s motors this build I did was 4s.
@@capbabyface2505 I didn't put links to the parts. I have the parts list in the description. I buy almost all my parts from pyrodrone. You should be able to find them there if not race day quads or getfpv will have the parts. And this particular frame was from rotorriot.
Yes definitely. Remember that’s 50 amps per motor. So 200amps total. And depending on motor kv and battery voltage you won’t even come close to hitting that max. Most batteries can’t supply that for more than 1/2 of a second and then voltage sags. 50 amp esc is plenty if your motor kv and battery voltage are correct. You can use the same motor kv I did 1500kv and 6s or look at other 7” long range bnf, what motors they use and what input voltage they say to use. Hope this makes sense and helps.
@@Matthew-dr1tb that all really depends on what battery voltage your using and the weight of the quad. 2750kv is high speed 4s, too high for 6s. But depending on your drone weight and battery mah you could do medium range. Typically you want a bit lower kv for efficiency when flying long range.
T motor has a good product, just don’t order direct from them. They were super shady . They will send you the wrong product, and won’t take it back. I had to address it with my cc company, which I eventually got my money back.
Hey, nice video! I had a quick question. What batteries do you recommend for this build? Additionally, do the goggles require extra batteries? (I want to get the goggles x but don’t yet know if I need extra batteries to make them work).
@@arthurgarzon200 I don’t worry too much about brands. I buy cheap batteries off Amazon like ovonic and zee. They end up smashed into the ground anyway😅.
Hi, Could you please share links for the props you have ordered as well as their caps and the smoke stopper. I wanted to know if you have used a 4s or a 6s battery Also i have built the same type of drone and goggles and wanted to know if i needed any antennas for the goggles and if the motors you have suggested are the best or are there is a better option
The props are HQ j37, I’m not sure what you mean by caps. Any smoke stopper will do fine. I order most my parts from pyrodrone, racedayquads and getfpv. Sometimes rotorriot if the other 3 don’t have what I need. This quad is 4s. If your goggles don’t have any antennas on them yes you need antennas.
@@andrewmedia3568 Could you share a link for the antennas you have as there are many and I am confused also could you share a link for the vtx as I have selected one but am not sure if it is the right one
I had similar issue with a smaller drone.. occasionally desync like yours (about 1 every 10 packs). I had incorrect d-shot - motor poles setting. Make sure that setting matches the number of magnets in your motor.
@@andrewmedia3568 I have ultimately decided to use the Velox motors so could you share the links for the props you have used as well as their caps and the smoke stopper.
@@andrewmedia3568 What type of battery have you used and is the motor you have selected the best one for the same build or you would suggest me to get a different one
Yes if the plugs match and the pinout matches. But sometimes it’s better to get power from a bat pad so when your flying li-ion packs that drop under 3v per cell you don’t lose video. Ask me how I know 😂.
@@andrewmedia3568 Thank you so so mutch for your answer.I have my great fight to program my googles (hd zero )and walksnail vrx.First drone done almost .
The Supafly 5" Freestyle preset. Its what I use on almost all my builds. He has options for with or without a gopro and with or without Bi directional Dshot.
Not at all but you can blame me if it helps you feel better. Its a park there is gonna be some people there, and the only people I "flew over" was myself.
I have 2 v3 stacks that are still going strong, even after drowning one . The v3 FC on the other hand didnt survive. I put mamba FC on the V3 esc and is doing good still. Im slowly moving to skystars now though
dang...I though you were going to have a solution for the "desync" issues. I have been dealing with it in multiple quads and think its radio related cause its more than one showing symptoms. Even on brand new builds. I don't know how to use BB logs to solve anything along those lines
@@tootfpv Yeh and it seemed to work for a few days then starts again. Build a brand new quad...flies like butter for 4-5 packs then starts making ticking sounds, then starts twitching. This has happened on multiple quads. Emailed jb and uav tech over 10 days ago and nothing. Most recent thing I tried was removing pre-arm from the same 3 way switch i had turtle on. Quads flew great a few days and now back to motor noise, ticking and twitching. its extremely frustrating and hard to find info. thanks for your help!
The last two stacks I’ve had from SpeedyBee have done something similar. I contacted SB and they said nothing is wrong with their equipment despite the video and myriad of tests they had me conduct. Though I have had 5-6 stacks they accused my build/spacing… after this frustration despite the amount of stacks I have used from them, they have lost my business. The best part is h the benefits for the affordability but I don’t think I have it in me to risk another new build. Btw, that motor explanation around 19 minutes was spot on. Or when all the motors lose command it sounds like a hissing noise. Did you ever figure out the problem with the stack?
Try upping your idle a bit, and antigravity gain, also make sure air mode is enabled. Those things should help your quads handle a bit better, with more authority in the air, and hopefully less wiggle.
I've read/heard that the V3 did had some problems. Some people even popped the ESC. From what the problems was, Speedybee should have solved the issues with the V4. I'm sitting with a fresh built Master 5 V2 too, just waiting for my own V4 to arrive :)
Well done video. I like the fact that you make these without any special materials. The only improvement would be to use metal strips instead of wires to interconnect the cells. You can solder them as well, so no need for a spot welder.
Nice build, I’m using the same fc/esc. How did you connect the 03 up? The wiring harness from the 03 is not the right one for plug and play. The wires I got from the fc doesn’t fit the back of the 03. thanks
Yeah t-motor has a weird plug on this fc. I had to special order one from rotor riot. rotorriot.com/collections/drone-accessories/products/avatar-to-fc-cable
@@andrewmedia3568 Great video! What is the difference between the fatshark dominator HD and the avatar goggles X? Are the fatshark dominator HD just an older version?
@@arthurgarzon200 yes the dominator HD is the version 1 goggles. Both have 1080p display. And from what I’ve seen the goggles x has some issues. My v1 have been perfect so far. And they are much cheaper. They still work with all the newest a avatar vtx.
love this kind of video! love the build part so much with all the details, soldering process etc. That's great content! hopefully you will continue to make these videos when you build new quads! +1 follower!
@@AdarshChandruofficial yes you can use any remote as long as the receiver will connect to it. you can use the dji remote 2 and connect directly to the air unit. or I recommend using ELRS like I am in the video and most people do. the receivers are cheap and easy to buy anywhere. And a wide variety of remotes to choose from. any controller that has ELRS built into it will connect to any drone with an ELRS receiver. doesn't matter what video system your using. the remote and receiver are separate from the O3, unless you are using the dji remote 2. you could use the O3 with ELRS or TBS Crossfire or ghost. you are buying the remote based on what control link you want not based on the O3, again unless you are going to use the O3 as your receiver with the dji remote 2. hope this makes sense.
Thanks! no video showed or explained all that goes with the wires of the dji 03 unit. Hard to make sense of this on bardwells videos since he dosn't like to use the dji controller. understandable...
