I just ordered the new version of the Meteor65 Pro. It looks like they took your advice and put a better camera and some adjustability on the angle as well. Great review!

My first FPV product was a blade inductrix brushed 65mm whoop. I didn't have goggles either...had a screen that clipped to a spektrum DX4e. It was so fun at the time. That was only 5 years ago and you're correct. We've come a long way and we do take it for granted.

Just placed an order for the 2022 updated edition, which allows for some camera angle adjustability and looks to include a nicer camera. Excited to just try it out!

Love my Meteor 65 Pro ELRS! I 3D printed a TPU loop to hold the 450mah batteries for longer flights. It holds the 300mah as well so I just leave it on :D. Great review as always! BTW, the technology blows my mind now days. With a 350mw VTX and ELRS it's crazy to think how far you can fly it out!

The technology really does amaze me. I think we have started to take it for granted, but if you think back a few years ago, there's no way we would have had something like ELRS and the 350mw VTX in a 65mm whoop. It makes it much easier to have fun in the hobby when you aren't constantly battling poor signal. Good idea on the TPU loop! What flight time do you get with the 450mah?

@@ATXAirborne To think my first quad builds before I left the hobby 9-10 yrs ago were LOS 7-8" spruce/ply builds with arduino and wii boards, haha. I add about 1 minute to the flight time, about 3 1/2 minutes with the 300mah and 4 1/2 with the 450mah. I could squeeze more out of both of them, I don't push them to far before landing.

melt the canopy with a lighter a bit and you can adjust the cam angle.

I think I live close by, the name kind of gives it away. Would be awesome to have a field/park right behind my place. Not atx but pville here!(havent seen any other drone pilots nearby but only been interested for a couple months)

My 5 cents about this one...The camera is really bad and 16:9. The C01 was much better but discontinued. It's again a new frame size which might not be available, the same goes for the props. Betafpv made the battery connector even worse than before. First thing to do is to cut it off and resolder in a 90 deg angle to protect the batteries and relieve stress from the cable. Now the worst thing..It looks like a BF 4.3 target but it is not. It's a custom 4.2.x. If you want to update, be prepared for some messy and nasty resource issues. Too bad Betafpv never listen to customers...
