Great example of taking profits off the table when the risk to reward is in your favour. Imagine chasing a few more ticks and holding out for Kerber to take the second... But it evaporates before your eyes and turns into a tiebreak - also known as russian roulette. Barty takes it and you find out the hard way that anything can happen in WTA. Well timed and executed trade.

Absolutely, this often happens and is hard to take. If the money is on the table, take it.

Why did you Lay and Back when surely Laying the fav is effectively Backing the 2nd Fav/Underdog?

Hi Graham, as I explained in the video, it is so that I can execute all of my full strategy in a mechanical way. As it was in this game, we got the early break, but usually I would be adopting a strict staking strategy by entering and exiting trades on the first set losers service games throughout the set. This would involve closing off some trades, locking in profit and entering new trades. By backing and laying, this makes it a much cleaner and smoother trade rather than simply laying in which you would be forever recalculating stakes.

OK, let's say you take the money only for Kerber to win the second set. You kick yourself for missing out. What happens next? Well you've just banked a nice profit, which you can use to trade set 3, if you fancy it, so you effectively just move on to your next trade. Upshot; nothing lost, everything gained. £245 is a very solid profit for an hours 'work'!

a little lesson I learnt there as the risk to reward ratio was not in your favour so yea a little more profit but if Kerber was broken would of kicked yourselve more and you got to think maybe in this game may of won 2nd set but doing the same type of trade 100s of times will probably go against you more than for you

Ok,but what would You have done If barty started with 0-30, let's Say?

Im assuming you mean if Kerber had gone 0-30. Then I would hedged out of the trade for a small loss.
