Against the backdrop of the beautiful, historic Koninklijk Theater Carré in Amsterdam, the performance wows with scorching soul covers from the duo's 2011 debut album Don't Explain and 2013 follow-up Seesaw, originally made famous by artists such as Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Billie Holiday, Tom Waits, Ray Charles, Donnie Hathaway, Lucinda Williams, Bill Withers, Delaney & Bonnie, Buddy Miles, Tina Turner, Slackwax, Melody Gardot, Nina Simone, and more.

The first time I heard Beth was “The LA song” & I thought - Holy cow - how did that little lady get such a big voice !?!? Then she disappeared for quite awhile - drugs, of course. Then along came Joe Bonamassa & then later, that lady showed up with Joe, whom I have seen in concert twice - once in Phoenix & a yr & a half later @ the Red Rocks near Denver. I’ve often wondered if Joe helped her kick & come back stronger than ever!! Love them both! Btw, I’m an 84 yr old white guy who grew up with the blues & still love those blues!!

I love that too ! I have a small video clip of my 7 year old grandson dancing and I added the music in my iPhone- it’s brilliant and shows his love of fantastic music ! I also have a video with David Bowie’ s Is there life on mars with my 3 grandchildren climbing all over my husband! Just my sense of humour but it gets them listening to great music!
