@@EntertainingWithBeth Hello beautiful lady thank you for all the delicious recipes. Although I don't speak English, I understand all the ingredients and the steps. I don't know your name but I already have a list/book of your recipes which, when I make them, my family always says how delicious it is. Salutations and a big hug. I am always waiting excitedly for your videos
@@yasminsolis440 Aww that's awesome! Thank you SO SO MUCH! I knew only on RU-vid would someone be able to translate this! I love this community :) .You guys are the best! :)
Words cannot describe how AWESOME these cookies were. So easy to make and many thanks for the video. I find it always a great help when I can see a recipe being made beforehand. Definitely a keeper at our home! 👍🥰
Thank you for a really great recipe. I tried it for my husband. He loved them. My grandkids will be visiting for the summer 2022. I definitely will be baking these for them all summer. Thanks from FortLauderdale, Florida
Hi Beth, I made these cookies twice and they're the best I've ever had! The browned butter gives the cookies a delicate, caramel flavor. I used muscavado sugar instead of brown sugar, which made the cookies extra chewy. I also used a mix of dark chocolate and sea salt milk chocolate. The sea salt on top of these is such a nice touch and just adds the right amount of saltiness. All in all, this is the best cookie recipe ever!
These were the absolute best!!!!!!! Although I put about two tbsps of milk after browning the butter to rehydrate it and just a teaspoon of black coffee and some marshmallow in the center!!!!!! Yum!!!!!!!!!!
I am enjoying your videos so much!!! And I love how you explain the why to do certain steps as you go!! And in just the right way to make it helpful, not condescending or so much info that you lose interest!! Thanks!!
I made these yesterday for my son's birthday and all I can say is WOW, these cookies took my baking to a different level!!, everyone loved them. They are totally Bakery Style..thank you Beth
I've tried so many cookie recipes and these are the best. Consistently amazing. The only thing I change is occasionally not browning the butter, just melting and cooling and following recipe as usual. I also chill cookie dough for at least an hour (sometimes I weigh and shape them first 2.3-2.5 oz each for 15-16 mins bake). Absolute best cookies ever. I skip the salt on top but that's just preference, I am sure that would be yummy!
I made these over the weekend! They are delicious! We doubled the recipe to take to a family party, and they made way more than we expected. Fortunately we had nothing to worry about, because there were none leftover! They were quite a hit. Definitely my new favorite cookie recipe.
I made these cookies with mh friend! And let me say these were the best cookies I've ever had! And we had a ton of fun making them. Thank you for the amazing recipes
This is such a good recipe. I baked for my friends and they love it. Thank you Beth. I have been following many of your recipes and they are so good they always turn out exactly as you would like it. Thank you for sharing your wonderful recipes. I have suddenly turned into a 👩🍳 baker.
Beth, I have been making for recipes for years now and love them! Next in my list is to garden. I have started to watch your gardening channel this past weekend. Thanks for all the delicious and informative content!
Oh course! It's my pleasure :) and such a joy to share all this content! I'm so glad you found the gardening channel too and I hope it inspires you to get in the garden and dig and enjoy the process of watching your food grow! It's so gratifying! :) Enjoy!
I've made these cookies at least 8 times already this month and they are honestly the best cookies I've ever had. I definitely reccomend only using parchment paper because the last time I made them I used aluminum foil and they didn't come out as good. Still amazing though!
@@EntertainingWithBeth I haven't tried them as an ice cream sandwich yet because I never have ice cream on hand. I'll give it a try today though because I actually have ice cream!
Hi! I us the recipe alot and it's normally always amazing but recently I've been having really flat cookies. Do you know what might be wrong? Im hoping to use this recipe tk make cookies for a friend's birthday
I don’t know why I bake cookies only in Christmas season - I stick to cakes and cupcakes for the rest of the year. But! This recipe seems so great, I’ll definitely make them soon! :)
Aww thank you! One tip with these cookies: Be sure the butter is cool before adding into the batter, otherwise the chocolate chips will melt :) I've found a lot of people have had issues with that. Otherwise you will be smooth sailing! :) Hope you enjoy!! xo
I agree...30 seconds sitting on the stove is the difference between brown butter and black butter...After browning, I would immediately transfer it to my glass measuring cup
@@leeann5442 Yes, her butter did look a little black at the end when she was pouring it....too much money to go down the drain so I err on the side of caution myself...
Cool the brown butter completely that's the secret of perfection of cookies, I love it Beth, how about a simple brownies, I've tried 2 of your baking videos and it turned so yummy and i dont want to mess my brownie squares hope to watch more😋🤗 Godbless
I loved this recipe! 1. The ingredients were easy to find in a local supermarket in India. 2. There was no whipping of eggs/sugar endlessly. The dump and scoop batter was so easy to assemble after the browning of the butter. 3. Tried making monster cookies (about the side of an adult hand - not palm) and they turned out fab. Salt after the baking wasn't a great idea. Better to add the salt before the baking.
I just made these. They didn't Look like yours but they are Amazing!! I wish I could send you a picture. I got 9 cookies out of this batch. Almost 5 inch cookies!
Those are some yummy cookies, Beth. It's unusual to not upload on a Saturday. What are your favorite cookies? Mine are chocolate chip and Danish butter cookies. I love you so much, beautiful.
Oh I know I had to post early since I was heading to VidCon this weekend :) I think my favorite cookies have to be these now ha! They are so delicious! And easy!!
This is the best chocolate chip cookie recipe I've ever tried. If you don't like your cc cookies to come out like puffy cake, this is the recipe for you. Make sure to sift the flour before measuring.
I made them for my parents 30th wedding anniversary garden party and they were a hit! Due to shortage of brown sugar, I added more white so they turned out more crunchy but still were super delicious! :) Also, it's a super easy recipe to follow so I will definitely make them again!
I’m amazed you’re able to make something extraordinary out of chocolate chip cookies 🍪. Then again you’re like a good magician so it make sense. Very cool video❤️👍🍪🍪🍪
Hi Beth! You're early this week 😄 Wow those look amazing. Definitely going to try them out! My winter break starts on Monday (here in Brazil) and I'd like to dedicate it to trying all of your recipes 😄 Thank you! Have a great weekend! Michael.
I'll probably be making them to go with some hot chocolate since it's so cold these days. It is currently 39°f - but during the hotter months the ice cream sandwiches sound amazing! 😋
Aww what a fun idea! Let me know some of your favorites! :) This one is one of my favorites for cold weather comfort food! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dU6ZOkDHrcg.html HAPPY COOKING (and breaking!)
I love love love these cookies. They look super amazing! I simply can’t wait to get cracking with it. You’re the the best, Beth & thank you so much for this recipe 🍪
These cookies look amazing! I have a convection oven and sometimes have to slightly reduce the oven temperature depending on the recipe. Can you tell me if your oven is also convection so I know if I should follow the recipe exactly or reduce my oven temperature when baking?
Thank you so much! That's so sweet of you. YT just turned this feature on to my channel and I wondered if anyone would use it? Ha! I truly appreciate your support, and thank you for helping me continue to pursue what I love! You just made my day :)
Beth I just made these and now I will never make chocolate chip cookies any other way. After eating 2 I decided to freeze the dough and bake later. These are dangerous in my my house. Thank you 😊
This is the first time I'm early!! I cant wait to try these cookies 😍 Thank you for all your videos, it has really helped develop my passion for baking :))
I know you said baking soda but that can looked like a baking powder can. Just wanted to check with you and make sure before I make these delicious looking cookies. I love chewy cookies. I haven't looked yet but I'm hoping you have a chewy snicker doodles cookie. 💜
Yes! It’s baking soda the Trader Joe’s brand comes in a can :) and Yes I have a great chewy snickers doodle cookie hope you enjoy! entertainingwithbeth.com/snickerdoodle-cookie-recipe/
Hi Beth. Can’t wait to try these! Quick question. Any tips for keeping brown sugar from hardening when stored? I tried the little terra cotta insert, but it didn’t seem to work... Thank you!
I find the best way is to buy the brown sugar that comes in a resealable bag (C & H Brand makes this) or to transfer your boxed sugar into a ziplock bag. then when it gets low roll the bag and fasten the "Log" with a rubber band :) Usually does the trick! But you can also pop in the microwave for a few seconds to loosen it up too! :)
This cookies look delicious and definitely going to make them. Do you have other recipes that call for brown butter? I would be interested in something savory with brown butter also. TFS😊😊
Yes I have the BEST recipe for a Brown Butter Sage sauce with Sweet Potato Gnocchi that is SO good! YOu can also make it with Store-Bough Butternut Squash ravioli (less time consuming!) and it's also SO good that way too! Hope you enjoy! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7ibgq3yoXqM.html
Aww you are too kind :) I'm so glad you are enjoying the videos! These cookies are SO yummy! I hope you enjoy them, and another great one to try are these Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, my new favorites! Happy Baking!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b7Ncd6CcnCs.html
Yummo! One comment - the video and recipe state baking SODA, but it looks like you used a can of baking POWDER. Thought I'd bring that to your attention. As always, love your videos!!
i love this recipe, i’d rather leave it for at least 2 hours in the fridge or overnight is better the brown sugar is a lot for me so i take out 1/4 cup of it and sometimes i take 1/2 a cup ! and keep in mind i *LOVE* sweet cookies but this one is too much for me
I just made these and I used a block each of dark and milk chocolate chopped and they were so delicious :) They did spread a lot so next time I might try chilling them before baking,
Ahhh yes if using block chocolate instead of the chips, these will definitely spread. I've done that too and realized the chips stay intact due to the stabilization agents put in them, which then keeps the cookie from spreading. So if you want to skip the step of chilling the dough first, go with the chips :)
man these look amazing!! also, you definetly need to come to maryland so you can do a meet and greet cause i have a few people in my family who would love you, and a few others that need your help desparetly to learn to cook...shhhhh...
Hi Beth, really amazing cookies, can't wait to try them out. Just had a question, do you know what it is that causes them to crack? They look so nice but mine never seem to crack
Oh sure here are the top reasons I shared on my blog post ! Hope this helps! :) HOW TO GET THE CRACKS IN YOUR COOKIES? If your cookies don’t achieve the cracks, here are some reasons that could be factors. Allow the butter to cool before adding it to your mixer. Otherwise, if it’s too hot, it will force your cookies to spread out too much and you’ll have cookies that look like flat pancakes, without any cracks. Don’t over-mix the dough. Overmixing will develop the gluten in the flour too much, creating a denser cookie. You need lightness in the dough to achieve the cracks. Your oven may not be hot enough. Ironically, most ovens do not run at the temperature you set them for. For example, you set your oven for 350F, but it’s only heating up to 325F. An oven thermometer will help. If it’s “running cool” you can compensate by setting your oven a bit higher so that it will in fact reach 350F. Baking Soda Lost Its Potency. These cookies call for Baking Soda. If you swap with baking powder you won’t get the cracks. And if your baking soda is opened and over 6-months old, it will be hard to get the cracks.
I love your videos. I searched your website for this recipe, however I can't find it. Does it take a few days to go on your website? Thx for another amazing video Beth! ❤😘😘 🍪 🍪 🍪
