This was the first song I played during the day in which I performed in public for the first time.
This video took place inside a second hand store, my grandmother had been talking with the owners which were happy to have me playing there.
You can see how I giggled out of nervousness and when I played I had a hard time actually thoroughly enjoying the beautiful sound this piano makes, but I guess with time that won't be a problem. :D
At the time when this was recorded I had just learned the last parts of it the day before, but today I can play the whole thing flawlessly.
Recorded on the 20th of November in 2021 using a Zoom H1n microphone with no effects and an iPhone (Sorry for vertical video).
That piano was on sale for 800kr ($87,86) but it has since then been sold.

Why failed? The beauty lies in those small misses. And the one pause at 3:07 was perfect. Only if you knew how much i wish to play this track. Fantastic!

Thank you! Normally I would have probably stopped too, but I felt it would be too embarrassing to stop instead of finishing it.

Yeah, this was good! I don't know why, but Bethena is kind of a killer. I tried to learn it a few years ago, and still mess up all the bridges between sections. X(

@@quiet1686 I learnt Bethena back when I started playing ragtime. Certainly isn’t an easy piece, though it shouldn’t be too hard with enough practise either. The main difficulty, I think, is getting all the voice leading to really pop.

Hey Buddy.. If I could do that it wouldn't call it failure.. ..I would call it a Christmas miracle !!! Stop being so hard on your self. We all stub our toe once a while. Tahe it from me..." Great Job " !!! Jim

Thanks! The only reason I called it failure is because I was able to play it earlier almost flawlessly. Though I was really nervous which could explain why. I guess I am too hard on myself, I think I have a forgotten the main reason why I was playing in public. To simply have a good time, not to play everything perfectly which is impossible.

@@Tarzoq Correct. Many times when I was playing in Public I would make a error and no-one even noticed. The idea is to have fun.. Be Good, Jim

@@jimmymiller77 I recorded myself playing a few days ago. I remember in different parts of the performance I felt that I made obvious errors. When I listened to it later, I thought that it sounded perfect, I couldn't hear any mistakes. I think the thoughts of messing up in front of other people is rooted deeply into our genes.

I saw that "kr" you put next to 800 for the price and I was like "what unit of cash is this? Isn't this guy american?" and then I looked at your about page and I saw Sweden and I just thought "OH, it's Swedish Krones or however it's spelled" xD Nice playing!
@Tarzoq

I take you thinking I was an American as a compliment. It's not weird at all for you think that considering that you have never seen or heard me talk in Swedish before. I appreciate your compliment!
@PiotrBarcz

@@Tarzoq Take however you want hahaha, honestly, sounds like being Swedish is even cooler than being American! You guys get to have the cool names and awesome geography, we're stuck across the atlantic with a boring language and definitely not the best geography...
@Tarzoq

@@PiotrBarcz Since I am not American I can not confirm if that is true. Sometimes I feel like being American has to be cooler than being Swedish but I believe that only happens because you sometimes get tired of your own culture and admire a different one.

@@Tarzoq I can definitely understand that. I like Scandinavia in general because of the beautiful lakes and fjords and of course the fact that in general the place is just beautiful!
