You are a crazy man you’re still playing this game although I still love this game I just can’t believe you’re still playing this game. You’re awesome bro.
I doubt you'll reply @ESOdanny but if you could post your thoughts on this mod and if it reflects on Zenimax/Bethesda in your eyes the community would appreciate it greatly.
This would be so damn cool if it was OpenSourced letting people build perfect Replicas of the real world Weaponry, so in the end every war machine, weapon, everything ever built could be added. Then could have things put on paper but never built added, the more insane ideas to be tested in battle. And not stop with weapons but also build the maps, & have all the cities, airfields, airports, bridges, harbors, train lines, stations, & depots added at different time periods of the world, including the small towns & villages. Could even add in all the past weather data from the past. Even add in the proper ocean tides, currents, cloud coverage, & fog. Oceans, rivers, streams, creeks too. *This is why it would need to be opensource to be able to get the number of people needed involved to build everything, & yes it would take decades!* ...or never ending. And it could make money to support itself by leasing its content to say the board game Risk by having a digital version of it using this content or this game itself, War Thunder..etc you get the idea
Back in the day I used to level the pickpocket skill to arm guards in selected towns and villages with crossbows. This brings my old shenanigans to a whole new level!
I used to to the same thing as I was always disappointed about the dovakin not being able to equip his chosen war faction with the advanced weaponry after the dawn guard dlc and I was even more disappointed about the crossbow creation club not being able to do it either
Oh, I did that once with the entirety of the Whiterun guard population, only to find outf that their inventory resets after so many days. And gone were my handcrafted crossbows.
@Leto85 the whole map resets, I'm not sure how often but I always know when things like the nightshade has leafs again at the rear entrance to the thieves guild
@@philipbarrow9504 I thought 10 ingame days of not hsbong entered the city. I know this because when I have brought the Thieves Guild back to their full glory and want some extra gems, I stayed 10 days away from a city so that the Thieves caches inside do respawn. Works even better with Prowler's Profit unlocked.
I really liked the Arquebus mod.. sure, the damage output is quite overpowered, but the supplies are rather thinly distributed, so you're not going to use it as your main weapon anyways. Also, the range is quite limited, and the ballistic curve makes aiming on farther distance harder, compared to bows or crossbows.
I found out how to glitch your crossbow bolt supply into usable ammo for the Arquebus. Also doubles as an infinite ammo glitch, really easy but super tedious. Usually stop after 100 rounds and then craft more when I can. Anyways, you just have find a corpse, and place all your arquebus ammo on it. Then equip the crossbow bolt while still in the corpses inventory. Exit, while your avatar is reloading (you'll get a new free ball for this btw) reopen the corpse inventory and put the new ammo on the corpse again, and requip the bolts. Makes it a harpoon gun, pretty fun and cost effective, cause bolts are sold everywhere now it seems like.
I had a mod with a flint like pistol. Same crossbow animation but with a bullet; you can kill a giant from distance in two shots. It is not like an arrow - that have ballistics.
Alright, for those who don't know: Several games in the series predating Skyrim have featured literal cannons using gunpowder, and usage of gunpowder based explosive charges for the purposes of clearing debris from tunnels. In both cases, the items in question were salvaged from Dwemer ruins. The only thing that's arguable about the canon with this creation is if the guns in question might actually be to primitive in comparison to ones we've already seen in universe.
This Era has no usage of handheld cannon weaponry, only from an extinct race of which secrets to its machinery are all but lost. On top of this, it's clear this is a paid mod for the sake of making money through entertainment regardless of overall corellation to the founded lore. If you're referring to ESO at all, take notes that they take lots of extremes for the sake of content as well which is why most consider ESO's lore to be shakey as well full of convolution.
Big cannons where more advanced then handheld firearms cause the work to make them proceses smaller and transportable by one man where way more complex. So yeah... big cannons would be more "modern" and early handguns a step back in a way... but of course still a big step forward from other handhald long range weapons. In a way... Accuracy of early firearms even up into the 17. century was absurdly bad... a skilled archer would hit better still. But guns had more power when hit and they inserted fear-.
@@g0lgrim1 Cannons were in fairly widespread use as relatively static fortification as early as the 12th century. Hell, in the 11th century, Korea had built a fleet of cannon armed warships. The handgonne, itself first mention of appears of in the 14th century.
@@aaronbosen6743 True... but if we talk realy early version we could also include "firesticks"... more or less just a lance with a minor explosive at the top and chinese use of "war firework"... which is no handgun... but started handhold and a use of blackpowder as a weapon... and this stuff was a bit earlier in use too.
Thanks for reviewing the Boomsticks glad you had fun with it! Always gets me nervous seeing people use my stuff and by the end of the whole project I think I for sure put most my effort in the dungeon wanted to make something unique and you could get lost in while keeping a decent pace all while making sense in the lore.
I kind of wish there was a spell that you can learn from the dwermer ruins where you could summon a pirate Cannon to be basically like a personal sentry gun that floats around you, also wish with the redguard creation club they added flintlock pistols and rifles
Oddly enough there actually were guns back in the Medieval era and the years after that era but they were more like a cannon that could be carried around
They were in 1364 in Italy actually. The Duke of Milan employed a squad of soldiers that used arquebuses. But the use of arquebuses became a thing at the beginning of 1500. This isn’t medieval era anymore. Anyway, look at WOW, it’s a medieval fantasy game and dwarves have arquebuses so we shouldn’t debate on if it’s medieval or not. Even the mod Glenmoril adds weapons that are arquebuses and canons. Same for The Wheels of Lull
@@nolanrueckert8061 The Medieval Era generally is considered to have ended around 1400 and the first "Guns"(What I would class as a Gun) were(In Europe at least) made around 1300.
hey come on give credit to the original creator! also i have thought if "guns" could exist in the es world and i thought that what if because there are races that hate magic it wouldn't be too afr fetched to believe someone tried making a "gun"
I wish you criticized Bethesda more for their failures rather than praise them all the time. They made a game we love sure but they're slowing destroying it. Don't try to misunderstand this: we hate Bethesda.
Guns in Tamriel is the biggest technological advancement since the Dwemer were alive. This is gonna change everything. The lore is gonna become more like fable now.
They took a mod that was free for anyone wanted to download it - albeit not on nexusmods - and now charge $6 for it. Bethesda trying to recoup failed starfield funds on Skyrim is pretty sad.
I actally like this, ive always been a fan of flint and matchlocks, just wish these guns were more realistic, with like, misfires and such, to balance out their high damage
See, this would be something I'd love if it didn't disable my trophies. If I'm paying for a mod, I would like it to *not* disable my trophies because I want to 100%/Plat-Trophy the game. *Edit:* Sudden realization - if Bethesda is willing to hire on the people who made this mod, then why is it such a hassle to add spears?
i didn't think they did.. Creation club do not. if you are on PC you can use any mods and get achievements anyway... but you said trophies, so, playstation?
nevermind, found my own answer.. they do count as "verified mods" that disable achievements, and also are limited on playstation due to sony's restrictions.
Imagine if the next ES is set in "1500's", and we have galleons armed with cannons, harquebuses, pikemen, etc.? Knights with firearms, the coolest historical period ever.
There are actually two unique arquebuses. The one you mentioned is Dov (Unique Dragon Arquebus) and the other is Caliver (Unique Saber Arquebus). I don’t know where to find the both of them.
I got "Dov" after a few days from a courier which came with a letter with thanks for supporting the Empire after giving them the schematics I assume Caliver is the Stormcloak's version.
I can confirm that now I have DOV and you have to give the schematics to the imperial and wait for a few days. DOV has the same as others arquebuses but has this “When fired releases a large fire ball damaging affected targets.”
I'm probably one of those very few players that still finds the gun lore-friendly. Heck, when I first saw crossbows into the Elder scrolls, I'm actually kinda glad that the technology is slowly catching up. Of course there still has to be a certain limit into it. But I still find the technology acceptable. Hopefully they will at least add more drawbacks into it like slower firing rate, slower reload or rarity in ammunition.
@@yttrxstein4192 Coming from someone who hasn't played Daggerfall, Redguard or Morrowind, all games which literally feature use of gunpowder or actual cannons and came out in one case more then a decade before skyrim , that's pretty rich.
@@yttrxstein4192 Not really...Cannons and gunpowder were already a thing since the Daggerfall and Redguard games, so it's not that farfetched to say they have the technology to create some sort of gun/firearm.
@@aaronbosen6743 I haven't played Daggerfall and Redguard, but I did play Morrowind and I dont remember seeing gunpowder or cannons there, or maybe I just forgot since it was a long time ago. If that's true then that makes it possible to have firearms in the world. I still think this is a MOD so I bet Bethesda wont completely incorporate it in future Elder Scrolls games, but firearms is indeed a possibility.
@@yttrxstein4192 Why, because he actually played the games in the series you haven't? Jesus Christ, kid. Fantasy settings that have or previously had guns in them are not exactly rare in the genre of either video games or novels. And we're talking about a series that has a book explicitly describing a time traveling cyborg, as well as literal appearances of imperial warships using cannons to bombard Stras M'kai.
I honestly don't think it's too unbalanced after some playtime with it. Firstly the dungeon is genuinely tough at low levels, I had to get creative to survive the automotons sub level 10, and once you get them you have to craft your own ammo, which includes needing fire salts, hard to come by when this would be massively op
Nope. This crap doesn't belong in the game, nor do any other low effort paid mods loaded with bugs and dirty edits. I'm glad greedy, hypocritical mod authors and Bethesda have abandoned support for Legendary Edition, because that means they can do no more harm to at least one version of the game. The Skyrim community made it abundantly clear in 2015 that we would not support paid mods, and those with principles and integrity haven't changed their stance. To the foulest pits of Hell with the hypocrites who flipped.
Thats not a gun. Thats just a crossbow shooting ecxplosive projectiles. We've had mods for that for years, lol. Like the Dwarven Rifles mod (which looks much better and much more like something the Dwemer would've engineered). Can't believe they are charging 7 bucks for this.
Right? A paid mod should, in the very least, use custom anims for weapons like this to make them feel more "premium". Imagine if they added a spear "creation" that used sword animations - it kinda feels like that here. It's no longer an independent, free mod, so there's no excuses. Plus it seems to be another instance of "well, you paid money for it, so here's an insanely overpowered weapon that completely destroys any semblance of balance in the game" like it was the case with many of the previously released creation club/AE weapons. At least this time you need to finish a dungeon to initially get it, but still.
The Unique dragon and saber arquebus as a reward for siding with one of the factions in civil war, the dragon one for imperial legeon and the unique saber for siding with stormcloaks
@@thedepressedfatguy4070 I kinda had to get some mods the have to do with the courier. Especially the one mod where the courier has a house. That’s the Provincial Courier Service.
@GamersonicRyanBruno I got that mod downloaded. The house pops up but the carrier is not in the house. I'm on xbox is there anything I can do That you can think of
It's a weird they're calling it a gun when it acts and feels more like a explosive crossbow the reload animation is the same as a crossbow even the look in style is similar to a crossbow I don't know why they're called this a gun lol 😂
Unfortunately Skyrim doesn't have the structure to mod in guns properly from what I have seen. Ever gun I've ever seen added by a mod has either used crossbow or staff animations to fire.
@username172 In the terms and conditions for their new paid mods, they cannot. No pre-existing mods can be monetized, and I assume that would also apply to them just paying Anthmoor for his unofficial patches on Fallout 4 and Skyrim. They could probably do so with Starfield though, just officially get him on the team afterwards, like what they did when they hired Elianora.
Centurion Dynamo cores are very important in crafting a lot of the weapons that are in the many different mods... Be sure to pick them up whenever you see them. also you want to pick up the cogs as well.
RU-vid wanted to censor this, my opinion. There needs to be a law that stops Bethesda from coming 500ft by Skyrim. A restraining order. Like that episode of South Park with Indiana Jones. 50k of free mods create my own game now broken. MA's already get paid 12 yrs using other ppl's mods free. You don't need blood money 30% to be Beth's b*tch. Get a real job, use your free mods to show case your talents to get it. Some already have. Thx for eating up another 12GB instead of giving me a better mod limit 150 & 5GB on Series X. That everyone asked for 7yrs now.
The unique arquebus are obtained through the quest you are given after completing the dungeon. The arquebus you receive for completing this quest depends on who you sided with in the civil war questline (so Dov for the Empire and Caliver for the Stormcloaks.
@tjecker6068 not entirely sure but I don't think it matters if you don't. You should just be able to bring it to whichever side you like and get the weapon you want. Though do bare in mind you can only obtain one or the other (as far as I know).
wait they want us to buy a gun in Skyrim.. with real money ? when there are most likely over 100 gun mods for skyrim for free.... this is the part where i throw my head back and laugh.... hahahahah!!!!
stop supporting paid mods eso we all know bethesda is paying you to act like this is a good thing. its not its broken the modding scene this last bull money grabbing there pulling after 15 years
there was like a 675meg download for Starfield today but it didn't add Creations. Thanks for the heads up on the price change tomorrow and the video. I like the substantial dungeon included in the price tho.
Zenimax wants money, so they Frankenstein together a mod based on something bendably lore associated (not accurate), and give you something so they can have money again. That's about it Edit: Zenimax doesn't make the mods, they commission artists to make the models, usually reusing assets and dialog, and then have someone design the quest if there is any to boot. Then they're paid a one time commission and the rest goes to Zenimax after every purchase.
It looks fine to me. But I wish the model to be similar from the first ones near the end of medieval era. They had long canons at the time and were difficult to use and to reload
It is its part of Bethesda's scummy "creations." This can only lead to another creation club, snafu. At least this time, the creators are actually getting paid, but Project Flintlock, which is free and on the Nexus is still better so no point spending 6 bucks for this stupid thing
I think you went to the dark side at the end there like when Anakin was 'disposing' of younglings. 🙂 Arquebuses look like they're fun! I can definitely see a pirate build coming.
Can’t wait for the next lawsuit against Bethesda from the same dude who sued them last time. Like, did they really think we all forgot that they lost that lawsuit, and that that was the main reason for the release of the anniversary edition bullshit in the first place?
What are you? "Imma mage!" What is that? "My staff." It doesn't look useful. "Oh but it is, check this out" **aims at deer** "Ala-ka-blam!" **visceral explosion** WHAT IN OBLIVION WAS THAT?! (Deaf due to the explosion) "Ha Ha Ha, I'm a mage!"
