At 5:55 you can see Valverde look over to Betis’ coach as he yells instructions to his team. Valverde knows he’s getting wrecked tactically and nothing shows it better than that moment. I’m a Barcelona fan btw, but that moment is gold
Adedapo Okiki bro everyone talks about pep spending but he did not sign a single superstar he spent 50 or 40 mil on every player and made them worth triple He just bought himself players he can work with and that’s all you need if your an amazing coach like pep and klopp
not necessary true, he played well against Barca but at the end of day he didn't achieve something big. remember that Valverde won a trophy against Barca in better way and know everyone is calling him a clown.
@VINNYISSPEED Gaming his resume is very very poor if you take into consideration that his age is 61 which means he's at the end of his career . I hope it will work for us.
@@alexmarc4539 how he can achieve something with the teams he worked? Ath. Bilbao(Valverde) is better than Betis or Las Palmas. Not the mention Lugo and so on... Come on man.
This is the match that made Setien new Barcelona coach. He has a lot of knowledge about the game and deserved chance to manage a big club and it's finally here.
It was basically Barcelona with whatever the players could vs Real Betis with a genius with tactics behind their back. To outclass Barca in a Laliga match by a mid table laliga team speaks volumes. Barca made the best decision to sign Setien.
Helps with Carvalho being calm, and a ok passer. Only 2 Cdm in prem come near Fernandiho who is playing as a Cb and Ndidi for Leicester. But saying this Fabinho is the best CDM in the world. The guys unbeatable in 1v1 situations. Setien will bring success to Barca again.
Holy shit these are my exact tactics 1 v 1 pressing all over counter attack on the wings this is identical to my style! Even the 343 and the way they score, i never knew this guy existed or that a top tier manager used these tactics!
No just written down xD i mean when is anyone actually going to be able to test out ideas aside from video games and perhaps sunday league, but sunday league is more of a free for all. I was just surprised an actual manager used tactics against Barcelona that i came up with for fun.
@@colouredIncognito The hardest part is knowing how to implement them in the heat of the moment of the game. Goes to show how technical these managers are, it's easy for us with hindsight and studying the same game for hours!
Read up on tactical theory - www.guidetofootball.com/tactics , then break down games using the the information you've acquired. Breaking down games after the fact is very easy, its implementing the ideas and adjusting to new problems that's the hard part.
Wouldn't call that a masterclass tactical game, they pressed FCB like many other teams have with great success. Look how easily opened up Betis were on every goal Barcelona scored. Defensively not a masterclass, and the lucky goal from Lo Celso was extremely fortunate. Both teams should have left with a single point. I believe Setien is a better tactician that Valverde, but he's extremely offensively minded. Perhaps he will do better with so much talent in his squad now, only time will tell.
Abhishek Passan hahaha nah im just trolling. Moron can mean different things all over the world so thats why he is named that. Not for the english meaning
Barca is playing so poor now for the last three seasons... We don't have any chances to win the CL right now because our pressing is just utter shit as you can see in this video just like our defence in general. , especially Roberto is horrendous as a Rightback. Slow, physically weak, poor in 1v1s, vulnerable to counter attacks like the whole team. I mean this is not the full match, but did you count how often Betis were able to escape our "pressing" and played out from the back because our "pressing" was so inefficient ? Or did you notice the huge gaps between midfield and the back four ? Not only in this game, but I realized it also against Spurs. Wish we had Guardiola, Sarri or Enrique in his first two seasons. Teams like City, Juve and probably even Liverpool are ahead of us.
Welcome to Barcelona, the problem is not the coach but the dumb defenders, even the king 👑 said it was childish mistakes. Hopefully he will fix the defense
Childish mistakes because valverde tactics always pass the ball backwards, those mistakes also happend in UCL with liverpool, when you always back pass against with high press likes liverpool even great defender will have childish mistakes
Si el Betis ficha a un jugador o un par de jugadores con buena finalización y mejora lo que tiene para mí el Betis es un clarísimo candidato a ganar la Europa League y a quedar de media tabla para arriba en la liga.
