Any other drama kids here just like, Well I've heard that song a million times but never like that!! Jeremy!!! Ugh! I was in a production of Little Shop of Horrors and boy, you FEED ME!!!!
Funny you should ask. I think she just had the baby yesterday. Love the fact that California blonde beauty married the French Horn player in the orchestra instead of any of her leading men.
katherine steele's video made me so mad bc people actually think that he cannot play seymour krelborne. how?? do you not see this precious being? he is more than fit to play seymour aaahhhhhhhh
@@sarahmolnar8075 He's going to play Seymour in the new Off-Broadway version of lsoh (the one with Jonathan Groff). He was about to start but then covid happened.
One of my favorite Broadway numbers with (I’m pretty sure) my favorite Broadway actor. Jeremy Jordan is so perfect ♥️♥️♥️ And his blending ability is unparalleled
Dang I’ve never heard Betsy Wolfe before but I love how powerful her voice is!!! Especially for a higher voice! They’re usually lighter and airy-er, but she was like, “lemme come in with the muscle!” 💪🏼
Betsy is from my town and I love seeing how successful she is. I went to the same dance studio she did when she was younger and she went to high school with my high school drama teacher and he would talk about how he had a massive crush on her and knew she was gonna make it on Broadway. Before COVID, she’d come back every year with her Broadway friends and they’d perform as a fundraiser for the arts here but I always found out about it after the fact or I had dance class and couldn’t go. Now I’m moving away soon and probably won’t get to go to the fundraiser ever unless I just happen to be visiting when she does it
His singing has the absolute perfect amount of halting confidence and steadfastness that Seymour should have in this song. She is far too happy although her voice is amazing. Audrey was broken and this was her moment of seeing not only Seymour and his love but her actual SELF for this first time. It was not a happy pop life moment. I hate that. But I guess it was for the crowd.
I was at the Toronto show they were talking about at the beginning lol. June 12, 2019. The last of four. In act 2 the orchestra wore Toronto Raptors t-shirts and played the Jurassic Park theme song. The next day, the Raptors won the NBA Championship.
Jeremy and his music director Benjamin Rauhala each won the 2020 BroadwayWorld Cabaret award for "Carry On" presented at 54 Below right before the pandemic shut things down. He is evidently very talented.
I put up two videos of Betsy alone, and the duet between the two. I didn't know Jeremy except that he had received good reviews in the flop Bonnie and Clyde. Sixteen hours later I checked back, and Betsy's videos had about 18 views and the duet with Jeremy had 4,000. It turns out that Jeremy, besides being talented, was and I guess still is a pre-teen heart throb like Sinatra and David Cassidy.
These ads just started appearing a few months ago. I suppose RU-vid changed some policy. Both the song and this performance of it are copyrighted, and I have not licensed the copyrights, so I will never receive anything.
Ok... So this is adorable, and as always Jeremy is hilarious and too charming for words... I don't know Betsy, but she sounds awesome.... However... Am I the only one hung up on the last few seconds of this video? Like what did he just steal off the piano, to make Betsy go 'Oh, no no no!' and make everyone laugh? I wanna know! Please, does somebody know? XD (Why do we not have teleportation yet? I keep finding these awesome concert vids from 54 below, and I find it wildly unfair that I live on the opposite side of the planet and likely won't ever get to see my favourite Broadway people perform there in real life.... Like why is it not a thing to just jump the Atlantic for an evening, and then go back home again, if you're not a lot richer than I am with more spare time than you know what to do with?)
Go down to Elaine's comment "What did he take at the end" and there's a link to a Broadway World review. The short answer is that it is her diary that she used as a prop during an earlier song. Whether it's her real diary or just a prop I don't know. Love Studio 54. Close to performers, OK to shoot videos, good food, good cocktails, but expensive. About the cost to a Broadway show. Don't envy us. Studio 54 like all shows and concerts and cabarets in New York are shut down. Let's hope that its finances allow it to reopen.
@@theatrain1323 Thank you! I'll check out the review! :) And I know everything is shut down in New York, and I am hoping beyond sanity that you get it all back. Broadway, Off-broadway, the shows, concerts and cabarets and all the wonderful things I don't know about yet, because Scandinavia is so far away and so far I have been limited to visits by living vicariously through videos like this one. I don't envy your shut down, or the struggle it is. I do empathise. I know it sounds like a toothache, but even with never having been there, seeing videos like this, and vlogs from behind the scenes of shows, and tracking down soundtracks for musicals and all that, have given me so much, not just in the way of entertainment, but as a person. It's smiles on bad days, and courage and hope and understanding and all the other sappy things when I've needed it. Going to see it all in real life, is a bucket list item for me. I would gladly spend the money if I had it, for the memories it would give me. I can hardly imagine how much it must honestly *suck* to have had it, and then not know when, or if, it will ever come back. I am rooting for you.
That was what she said was her diary. She had used it as a prop earlier. There was a BWW article. www.broadwayworld.com/cabaret/article/BWW-Review-All-Bets-Were-Off-When-Jeremy-Jordan-Stole-BETSY-WOLFEs-Diary-at-Feinsteins54-Below-20190318
She has a beautiful voice, but especially in her first verse, she was far too peppy for most of this song, she needed to save it for the climax which she nailed.
and why the fuck you dont find out the reason. simply google will tell you this concert and the reason of the arrangement. there multiple interview where this arrangement has been used.
