It's not scratchy. You'd need to smoke ten cigarettes to achieve that hoarse scratchiness of Carnes' original vocals. Imagine Patty Bouvier singing this!

Althoug the original song is unbeatable, this interpretation makes my day and since the song "Just the two of us" with the awesome singer and saxophone player I listened to many songs from HSCC. The voice and the guitars are great.

I sure was surprised by that D to B flat key change! Brilliant playing here from my Australian brothers, all properly supported by a rock solid rhythm section, tasty keyboards and the soulful playing and singing of Dusty Stephensen. Total respect.

I have been binging on HSCC since I found them when the quarantine started a few months ago. Every video I've seen is nothing short of exceptional in every way. The musicianship, the vocals, the sonic clarity and quality of each and every track. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your music has meant to me and others around the world. I'm a musician for some 45 years now. I've worked with some great players throughout the years not many of them as good as these. Con and Darren, always knowing which players to use on any given track. Hats off gentleman! Your music is inspirational, celebratory and lifts the spirits of all who hear it. PS...Sam owns this track! GREAT player with outstanding feel and control. Damn.. I love these guys!

I would love to see and hear HSCC live at The Beach Hotel at Byron Bay on a warm balmy night with the crowd absolutely pumping. What a night that would be. Such happy times listening to great music at that place, dancing with the kids, and HSCC would guarantee one more unforgettable memory

Great rendition ! Love this group ! @3:30 the keyboard player looks at the bassist and smiles ! On the word "ferocious", bass went back to Ab, Instead of up to C, as pattern of song played before key modulation. Keyboard player caught the very subtle note difference. Love this band! These guys are so fricken AWESOME. Listening to their whole catalog ! Keep rockin' guys. Listening in 🇺🇸USA ! Sharing vids.

I share the excellence of hscc with all my friends, enemies, my favorite band. The respect they pay to the original, a lot of times better than the original. The artist and production is second to none. Iput then on every day and just let the Playlist go. Never a bad song, the versatility is unmatched. I would love to see them live. Let me know when you get near Jacksonville Florida I'll be first in line.

This cover is incredible and has made me happy since I discovered it last week. Several of my friends who are in their mid 50's have a cover band too. I just recently got to see them play out and was very impressed. They like to make every show different from the last. They're very skilled musicians. What is most impressive is that they harmonize beautifully. Here's a partial list of songs from the show: Billy Squire Lonely is the Night The Beatles, Paperback Writer The Doors, Touch Me Screaming Trees, I almost lost You There The Who, The Seeker They play out just for the fun of doing it, just like you guys.
