Yep i agree, Dusty is a spectacular singer... his two younger brothers are verrry talented too but closeted away here in south Australia.. they are all world class and I’m a pro cellist, played with the middle brother KC Stephenson

I have to disagree... The vocal was so far from even approaching MMD. (Very generic in comparison). Not that I didn't enjoy it, but no one even comes close to feeling those big shoes.

You just come off sounding like a MMcD fanboy, and that's okay, but for you to deny that Dusty Stephensen has a powerhouse set of pipes is laughable - you need to get your hearing tested, pal.

This song is so alive, I keep coming back to to hear it again and again. It’s such an enjoyable tune, with a strong rising tempo. Dusty’s vocals and guitar work kick the emotions into overdrive. Very impressive as it turns a new corner on this old classic. Possibly even fitting a saxophone into the play out could bring another dimension.. Keep innovating.

I know some of these videos ive commented on are at least a year or more and i am just seeing them now but better late than never I guess. Another EXCELLENT choice for a vocalist. Michael McDonald and the rest of the Dobbie Brothers would be proud. This band has "The Midas Touch" Everything you guys and gals touch turns to gold !!!

This right here… this is why I keep checking in every week for new videos. I consistently keep this version in my rotation because it’s literally a cut above the original. My only hope is that Dusty comes back one day to do a few more tracks. He is something special!

David G Sperry...lucky you to have seen the Doobies. One band i never managed to see live. At my college in the 70s a top live band performed almost every weekend. Maidstone, England printing and art college. Still i can listen to the Hindleys great version, or my CD in the car, or on a 'long train running'

This song is hook after hook and very difficult to nail. I think I like this version over the original recording. It's sounds like a version that could be on a modern album. The mixing is amazing.

One my all time favourite bands as well. Seen them 3 times now. The last time at Deniliquin Blues Festival when it was on where we got to meet them all. What a fabulous open air that was. John Mayer, Steve Earl, Dr.John, Met them all. They finished their sets and we got to talk to them after. So sad it never lasted more than 3 years. Didn't like Michael McDonalds contribution to the Doobies though. They turned into a pop band and lost that edge but man they sure got it back at Deni. They came down from Byron to do their one night set.

This is one of the greatest sounding covers of any band I've ever heard, and to do it to THIS song no less. Everything is A+, those harmonies, perfect arrangement, the rhythm section is so locked in, and of course... the singer is out of this world and puts his own life into it. And THEN just to top it off you suddenly realize he's had a guitar this whole time and rips a gorgeous solo!

I really can't believe what justice they do to the Doobie Bros., Toto, Steely Dan, etc.Those are difficult bands to emulate and they kill it. Love these guys - haven't heard anything as good for years, even if they are older songs.

WOW! This is one of my all-time favorite songs and on the "Nobody else can do this song" list. However, I stand corrected. I love this!! The attitude behind the arrangement, the amazing as always bass playing and all-around fantastic musicians and lead singer AND the guitar solo!!. This is just super great!!!

I am just speechless! The talent of this band is insane! I was a teenager back in the 70’s and I remember buying the 45. It was one of my favorite songs.I must’ve listen to that song a1000 times or more. I just love this arrangement and what you guys did to this song. Dusty, bro… You absolutely “knocked it out the park”! Your soul and vocal talent is second to none. Bravo bravo, bravo! I hope you guys come to the US… I’m buying a ticket on the front row!
