Why was for the boys such a flop? I loved that movie and I thought her performance was amazing!

The public wanted slapstick goofball humor from her, not a drama spanning 50 years showing her watching her son killed and becoming an embittered old woman. But she was brilliant in it, and the soundtrack is timeless. Public taste is no barometer of art...

B Dub I also heard the movie she was in called “Stella” flopped too! I don’t know if you have seen it but it was wonderful as well.
