Makes me glad that stars like Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris fell in love with the McGarrigle sister’s music. I never would have heard such gems as this. I was a teen when Linda recorded this, I understand the lyrics and emotion so much better now.

Different than Linda's, but has it's own vibe & merits! No way in the same vein where Bette buries Linda, totally buries the duo!, on "ALL I NEED TO KNOW".. Bette's gritty, needy and fragility is just perfect! ...Linda & Neville is pure syrup with a pound of white sugar & 4 scoops of store brand "cool whip". Yet I love 60% of Linda's enormous catalog. Oddly, the one 70's girl singer, who wasn't persecuted by critics for not having written one song. But back to Bette. She inspired me w/ every one of her LP's, to find out more about the fantastic thoughtful & sad album cuts. She even continued to get a few real goodies on her CD's, even after she became a bigger commercial entity, circa ""Beaches".
