The seal was tight, made sure of it throughtout the tests. They’re really not mid-heavy at all. Compare them on loudnwireless.com and you’ll see 👍🏻

Some one needs to invent a low-density foam tip for the ends of the Airpods to block wind.

@@joelmadison7952I don’t think it’ll get the job done, and it will probably be just bulky - buying premium earbuds and putting something on them. There has to be decent earbuds that can manage normal wind noises

Elovoc clear will fix that problem but the trade off is sound quality

@@BIGBADBOW elovoc seems to be pretty old by now, I am sure there is a better solution out there. Also, from tests I see the mic quality is just ok

i have tried many and own both of these and i can tell you , what you are looking for is the beats buds plus. I wish reviewers woudl do more real day today tests, the sound blocking of the studio buds plus its incredible. Wind noise is non existence on calls , i have even tried putting a very loud speaker and TV and the other side wont hear it. I use this for my video calls while i am on the DAtacenter since i work on IT. I use the Airpods Pro2 for other day to day things and for my tinnitus, but the Airpods Pro are very poor at bloocking exterior sound, wind, voices, servers, etc both high and low frequencies and it does start to sound robotic on long calls. So try the beats studio plus, its definitely the ones for what you are looking.

It’s probably there to give the sound a kind of "punch" in the mids and highs so that a normal consumer is pleased with the sound. I’ve had the original Beats Studio buds, now I have the AirPods Pro 2 and I can definitely say that the beats have a very mid/high-oriented sound. Therefore the lower mids get totally lost. This also means that the AirPods sound waaay more detailed and clear.

I’m guessing you’re talking about the frequency response and not EQ? Not sure about that part. With all due respect to Aaron, these sound samples and measurement data is more or less meaningless. If you look at measurements done using industry standards like 711 couplers and now more recently, B&K 5128, you’ll quickly see that these measurements don’t look anything like what they really are. And so the sound samples are also way off. I really wouldn’t put any weight into the measurement data and sound samples here. There’s way too many variables between the earbud in question and your own ears when listening to samples recorded by someone else. You’re just not going to get anything close to what it actually sounds like. Look at SoundGuys’ review for the AirPods Pro and Beats Studio Buds Plus and you will see accurate measurements using B&K 5128. Crinacle, Super Review, 0DiBi, AREGINA, and RTINGS are also all excellent sources for measurement data. Aaron is great for the overall review and talking about the sound performance as he perceives it.

They do he didn’t have a good seal so the beats got mid boosted because he had the AirPods in the binaural mic better

Yes. I bought used ones on Amazon & returned them. Going to give a brand new pair a shot tho

It may be because the used pair had drop or water damage distortion

What video did you watch? There’s literally nothing better about the beats except the form factor and that’s only if you prefer that on the beats.
