@@TheAbandonedAccount7 Satire is usually not very subtle. But a clear ridicule of a subject or character. Like i said in my oc, this is much more subtle. The video is at first presented as a serious essay on the characters. Which has a gradual increase in bad statements, jokes and weird quirks. First you're confused and convinced that this guy has the worst opinion/statements. It's only later that you realise, that it's satire. That's why you as the viewer, have been trolled. But in a subtle way. That's why his humour is unique. Satire is common, but trolling the viewer in a subtle way? That's much more rare. Sure, there is satire in there. But that's not the point. It's the how the satire is presented to you, the viewer, that makes it unique.
Another parody video? No, no. This is a trick it has to be! I am not crazy! I... am not crazy! I know Sefuss was going to make a real video when I watched the first 2 minutes, as if I could ever make that mistake again! I just- I just couldn't prove it! He covered his tracks, he got those idiots in the youtube comment sections to lie for him! You think this is bad? This? This chicanery? He's done worse! That video he made on Walter White that got over 800,000 views! You think a random shipost just happens to get that much traction? No! He orchestrated it! Sefuss! He made an entire meme out of Breaking Bad! And I subscribed to him. And I shouldn't have! I rung his own notification bell! What was I thinking?! He'll never change. He'll never change! Ever since his first video. Couldn't keep himself from making jokes about being based! But not our Sefuss! Couldn't be precious Sefuss! Stealing his viewers blind! And he gets to be a video essayist?! What a sick joke! I should've reported him when I had the chance!
Chuck is a sad, bitter cautionary tale about the dangers of holding on to your hatred to the very end. The saddest part? I think back to that one scene that happens before the reveal that Chuck has been sabotaging Jimmy's entire career from the start. Chuck and Jimmy are genuinely working together on the Sand Piper case and Chuck is . . . . enjoying . . . being a legal dynamic duo with his brother. Both their strength's come together to put a dent in Sand Piper's armor. And there's this moment where Chuck steps outside to grab something . . .and he completely forgets about his allergy to electricity. It's like he never had it at all, just for a moment. I think about this moment a lot because it alludes to what's really going on. Chuck's hatred for his younger brother has manifest physically. The more his feelings for his brother burn the more they overwhelm him. Only he's in denial of his hatred for his brother, and so he blames his sudden pain on an outside force. He genuinely starts believing electromagnetic waves are harming him and because of the placebo effect keeping electricity out and keeping on space blankets and that makes the pain dampen a bit. This moment of relief where Chuck has so little pain that he completely forgets about his illness coinciding with a moment where he genuinely bonds with his brother is no coincidence. The cure to his electromagnetic sensitivity was always to forgive and embrace Jimmy. But of course . . . Chuck could never do that. I think about the court room scene in the "chicanery" episode. At first, Chuck claims that the exit signs don't bother him because they're far away and not drawing much current. But then Jimmy gets under his skin again and suddenly those exit signs are a nuisance. Just another example of how Chuck blames his physically manifested hatred on an outside force. And then Chuck pushed Jimmy away with one final jab to his heartstrings, thinking it would put an end to his problems forever . . . . but instead he relapses. He relapses *hard*. And this time, no amount of mitigating electromagnetic waves can help him. No matter how much electricity he removes, he can' stop the pain. Because he can't let go of his hatred, the only way he can stop the pain is by killing himself. Because he would sooner die than forgive his brother. Forgive those who make you feel bad. let go of your hatred. let the past be in the past. Don't let your hatred consume you the way Chuck's consumed his. Your pride is not worth it.
@@johannliebert2870 Nothing against using Anger and Ambition as your daily motivation and fuel. The danger as we realized with Chuck was that his hatred helped a lot for his schizophrenia to lead him to destroy many people and lives that had nothing to do with Jimmy.
I watched the Walter White Did Absolutely Nothing Wrong video and thought it was hilarious, now I've watched this an agreed with almost every word and have no idea what this channel is.
Jimmy was already “slipping Jimmy” since the beginning. But Jimmy changed his ways for chuck. But he relapsed often because of the lack of faith chuck had in him. I’m not justifying jimmys actions, it’s just, Chuck did ultimately cause Jimmy to turn and remain Saul goodman. He refused to believe he could change
I don’t think Jimmy was destined to become Saul if chuck had just given him a chance and taught him the right way. In series 1, you see Jimmy trying to be a legal lawyer. But chuck’s refusal to see Jimmy can change is what turned Jimmy into Saul. I think after the sandpiper case, because Jimmy clearly cared about his clients, chuck should’ve hired him, but told him that if he breaks any laws, he gets fired.
@@FirstLast-yc9lq he was, he relapsed when he wasn’t getting anywhere legally due to the fact chuck didn’t give him a chance at HHM in the first place. Man, the amount of selective memory people have with bcs is funny
@@themainpoetrychannel1640 He didn't know Chuck kept him from HHM, and it's not justification to scam someone just because you are down on your luck. This is EXACTLY what Chuck even said - he takes shortcuts when things get hard. More selective memory. Keep going.
@@FirstLast-yc9lq I never said it was justified. When he feels corners, he relapses. If he had the job at HMM, he wouldn’t have felt cornered. Whether he knew about chuck or not is irrelevant, the point is that if chuck had faith in Jimmy, he would’ve never felt the need to cut corners. I’m not saying it’s justified, but people turn people into bad people by not helping them. If you keep reinforcing something, you’re gonna relapse. He also felt Howard saw him as a dirt lawyer. Everyone around him had a fixed image of him, and so he felt he couldn’t change. This happens a lot in real life too. What others think of us unfortunately can psychology speaking, make us who we are
yeah i never understood why people love jimmy so much. he is clearly a petty criminal and a slick talker, its amazing how much clearance hes given by fans because chuck is written as an antagonist. just goes to show how easily peoples minds are warped. brilliant show, chuck is one of the most compelling characters ive ever seen. thanks for vid
No it’s ethics vs legality, morality will always be more important than legality family is one of if not the most important thing in life. Not to mention loyalty, honesty and good faith are all important traits while ego, jealousy and greed are despicable and should be discouraged.
@@smithz1lla580 Your comment was 2 months ago but Man if loyalty, honesty, and good faith are important than Jimmy broke that hard when he embarrassed Chuck by changing those numbers. That issue was between Kim and Howard and Chuck really wasn't doing anything to Kim. Even at a certain point Chuck thought Howard was being too hard on Kim.
@@smithz1lla580 Ah no, Jimmy changed the numbers to help KIm with her personal issue with Mesa Verde staying with HHM instead of going with Kim when she left them.
I'm just rewatching S1 and reached E9 "Pimento" where Chuck, the coward, called Howard, god rest his soul, to make sure they won't take Jimmy on into HHM. And then that prick has the audacity to sit beside Jimmy and let Howard take all the blame. Jimmy may be crook, but Chuck is the most self righteous character to ever grace television.
What the hell would it have changed if he said it directly? Having Howard do it, at least, kept the drama from happening. Look what happened once Jimmy actually figured it out - dude went off the rails.
@@FirstLast-yc9lqI think most people would be mad if they found out their brother sabotaged their career behind their back, while being supportive in their face
I love the brothers, it reflects my brother and I exactly, me being the older brother with own mental issues, and motivates me to always support and believe my younger brother
If anyone did half the things that Jimmy did, people would be calling for his head on a pike, but because the lovable and charismatic Jimmy did them it's OK, cause he can do no wrong. People like to point to Chuck as the cause of Jimmy's downfall, but Chuck did absolutely nothing wrong besides not coming outright and telling Jimmy that he won't hire him. Chuck knew first hand that Jimmy simply destroys. He destroyed his father's business. So why should Chuck even entertain the thought of giving Jimmy the opportunity to tarnish the name of the firm that he essentially single-handedly created from nothing? The show continually proves Chuck right. Jimmy was given an extremely lucrative position at Davis and Main that any other lawyer in his position would salivate at, and what did Jimmy do? He completely ruined it. And why did he do that? Because he refused to be constrained by simple rules that any organization would have. He loves being free. So who's to say that Jimmy wouldn't have done the same at HHM if he were hired? People love to claim that if Chuck hired Jimmy then Jimmy wouldn't have become Saul. That's absolutely NOT true. We see this time and time again, every time Jimmy tries to go on the straight and narrow he inevitably makes an error and hurts other people in the process. Chuck knew this, but because we all primarily followed Jimmy through his plight it was easier to sympathize with him instead of even considering the fact that his meanie older brother is right. People also like to say "but Jimmy helped Chuck!!!!", but they fail to realize that Chuck never needed his help. Chuck never even ASKED for his help. Jimmy decided to help him, and that's commendable for a brother, sure, but he was never needed. Ernesto pretty much handled whatever Jimmy did after a short while. But whenever Jimmy was in trouble you better believe he NEEDED Chuck. The show wouldn't have even started if Chuck didn't use his clout to free Jimmy from jail lol. All that to say; Chuck was right. And here's the undeniable fact that no one can disagree with: if Jimmy simply stayed in the mail room or looked for some other profession besides law, more people would be alive and Jimmy would sure as hell be a much happier person than he is now. Jimmy did exactly everything that Chuck thought he would do if he became a lawyer, and then some. "A chimp with a machine gun" what a nice way to put it, Chuck. He could've phrased that in a much harsher way that'd be more reflective of reality.
How is Chuck resenting Jimmy’s charisma a flaw? That is merely a result. If you had a brother who schemed everybody even your own parents but everybody loved him because of his charms and you were the only one seeing it why wouldn’t you resent it? That is why he was so insecure about his wife being entranced by Jimmy’s charm, he could see right through it.
@@nont18411 You mean like using his reputation to get his degenerate loser brother from being imprisoned and off the sex registry list? Yeah, how toxic.
Chuck is on par with squidward for being one of the most perfect antagonists in TV history that time he broke that wall was so intimidating and when he kicked over that lamp with only one leg truly showed us how fearsome he was
Man you need to go all in on these kinds of videos 😂 they are fucking awesome I come back to the Walter white one atleast once a month for a good laugh
The purpose of the video is kind of shift the focus on making Chuck the good guy, and glancing over the little details. Ironically just like Chuck who too doesn’t care about the context or details, and just sees things at face value. While this video is entertaining there are things he got wrong, and perpetuated how people wrongly interpreted certain scenes like Chuck bailing Jimmy out of jail, or Howard wanting to hire Jimmy etc. I already wrote about those on the comment section so I won’t repeat myself here. Still a fun video, but I wish he did a better job covering the little details.
I mean chuck was totally right about him. to me, the telling scene is him looking at the family of the killed travel agency employee, obviously realizing his disgusting it is that he's helping lalo, but he does it anyway. good video
Gotta give it up to the writers of the show. They made Jimmy easy to like to the point where even his causing death and destruction is looked past that.
The only real problem I have with chuck is no one ever sits him down and tell him, "chuck, you have schizophrenia." Im not sure it was okay for him to get discharged from tbe hospital.
I knew this going to be a good video but dam I didn’t expect it to be this good “low IQ think that jimmy is a sleazy but will meaning person” can’t make this shit up. Committing succide because you don’t have a job is sigma male indeed 😂
I think the Dr. K. quote should be enough to convice everyone since the full name of that doctor is Theodore Kaczynski which is not only a docotor but also a professor which is very impressive. Theodore Kaczynski was actually such an impressive guy that the FBI even gave him a nickname which just shows his brilliance. Not only that Kaczynski has a lot of common with Chuck since his brother also turned against him. We have established that Theodore Kaczynski is a very impressive guy and has a lot of common with Chuck that just means that Chuck simply has to be in the right here come on guys how can you not see that a damn professor docotor is on his side.
unironically agree for the first 3 or so seasons I Hated Chuck but after the final season especially after what Jimmy did to Poor Howard I Realised Chuck had a point because Jimmy got a law degree countless people got Hurt and even ended up dead he became slipping Jimmy again only this time worse. I'm not saying Chuck handled things perfectly or that he was a Saint but he definitely had a point about Jimmy.
Both brothers are bad, chuck should have recognized Jimmy's attempt to change and become more like chuck himself, and encouraged that. Instead chuck did whatever he could to wound him, and to keep him down. We all know why Chuck gave Jimmy the job in the mail room, to keep him below him. To affirm to himself that he was the winner, and that Jimmy was lesser. He craved this affirmation because his mother never gave him any. The evidence is that when Jimmy reveals that he had passed the state bar, chuck showed several emotions. He first looked insulted, then angry, and then condescending. Chuck never actually gave Jimmy a chance, and never did he give him anything out of any genuine love. Chuck is dependent on Jimmy to feed his ego. Jimmy is bad for obvious reasons, but everything he does comes out of a place of desperation. Jimmy even occasionally does the right thing, with no reward, even when it's difficult. Meanwhile Chuck was blessed with a huge intellect, he has resources galore, and he still does the wrong thing. Jimmy does the wrong thing to survive, and gain some semblance of self worth. Self worth that was never affirmed or acknowledged by anyone around him. Even his mother never told him he was good, only that she preferred him. Jimmy uses his id, to suppress his super ego, to feed his ego. Jimmy is Id feeding ego at the cost of super ego. Chuck does the wrong thing to protect his fragile sense of self and his ego. Chuck uses his superego as a justification to shamelessly feed his Id, which in turn protects his ego. Chuck is super ego feeding ego at the command of the Id. Of the two, chuck is worse. He does what he does knowing better, and allowing himself to be delusional to think he is doing the right thing for others sake. When he is not. He only wanted to save the company because it was his crown jewel, not because he cared about the people in it. Jimmy does what he does to survive at the cost of others, because he feels he hasn't been valued, so he in return doesn't value others.
I was listening to this video while driving to work, and I had to pull over for a few minutes cause I was about to poop my pants from laughing so hard. So, in conclusion, I'll have to send you bill for curing my constipation.
Chuck McGill: Extreme case of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. A personality disorder is different from a mental illness. I cannot hate Tuco because he is mentally ill. Chuck, however, is not mentally ill, so I can hate him (mea culpa). Psychologists are reluctant to make a diagnosis of a personality disorder because a personality disorder is WHO YOU ARE. It's not an illness, it is a personality. Symptoms: 1) A need to make others jump through hoops to attend to the narcissist (Chuck's phony "illness"), i.e., a manipulation revealing a need to exercise power in order to be the center of attention. 2) An inability to recognize other's feelings (a lack of any empathy for Jimmy). 3) The frequent employment of a false, "agreeable/amiable" face to manipulate and to disguise the narcissist's true intention (Chuck does this a lot, employing lies as part of the disguise.). 4) An obsession with revenge (Think: Trump), particularly against those who once trusted the narcissist and now see through the narcissist's abusive manipulation (Jimmy). When Jimmy, a loving brother, does onerous daily deliveries to Chuck's house (at Jimmy's painful expense), Chuck cheerfully allows this to continue as an exercise of his power over Jimmy. Power is candy to a narcissist. Chuck, incapable of shame, takes pleasure in manipulation and exploitation. Narcissism When Howard Hamlin decides that, for the sake of the survival of the law firm, he must persuade Chuck to retire, he then exercises exquisitely tactful, respectful, empathetic maneuvers to gently move Chuck toward withdrawal. For example, he reminds Chuck that Chuck had always wanted to teach students at a law school. Instead of yielding to this gentle persuasion, Chuck declares that he will nuke the law firm, willingly destroying the livelihoods of all who work there. Ugly, evil vengeance. Narcissism. Chuck's choice of means for suicide is pure, evil narcissism. A decent person who commits suicide will do so in a way to cause the least distress to those left behind. Chuck, in contrast, chooses a means of suicide guaranteed to inflict the greatest possible horror and anguish upon those left behind. Narcissism. So, Sefuss, you are flat wrong. Chuck is NOT the lesser of two evils.
I don’t understand the Chuck hatred. He’s sad and makes some bad decisions but I see where he’s coming from. The great thing about this show is that Jimmy, Howard, and Chuck are all wrong but also right.
Most people that hate chuck are simply idiots, the same people that hate Skylar in breaking bad. These people simply cannot comprehend that the main character of a show can be flawed. They are so invested in Saul's life that anyone who stands up to them is morally wrong in their eyes.
It's because we primarily follow Jimmy so it's easier to empathize with him cause we see him putting in effort and trying to be good or do what he thinks is good. Just like Walt in Breaking Bad. And it's the same reason why the people who hate Chuck are likely the same people who hate Skylar.
I never hated chuck as a first time viewer, i didn't like him at all but I had more of a problem with Jiimmy. I thought Chucj was a pompous arrogant snob with a grudge who lacked understanding about personal relationships. He also doens't respect the work or talents of other peoples. The 'little people' who bring him is groceries and work in the mail room are beneath his concern. Guess knowing what would happen in BB we as the audience knew that he was right. Whether he did what he did for self-ish reasons he was in fact right. Knowing about how Jimmy stole from his parents and destroyed the family store and then 6 months later his Dad dies is bad; and then the whole thing with the Chicago sunroof I think that would be enough for me to be done with him. The problem Chuck has is that he can't get affection from people so he is overly-sensitive, hostile and demands respect instead. He's just not a lovable person; so he spent his life trying to earn it through respectability. He had to work in order to get the fascimilie of affection while Jimmy seems to engender an endless suplly of charisma and uses it like a weapon. I can imagine how the unfairness of this would drive someone insane. It's like pouring down water in front of someone who is dying of thirst. I think deep down Jimmy probably supsected that this started when Jimmy entered the mailroom and that constant reminder tore away at him. His wife, Kim, Howard etc all of them prefered "Jimmy" because they didn't know who he really was. The saul we see in BB mentions doing some repugnant things but we don't care becuase we don't see them. here we get to see the buildup those things. The show is genuis because it makes you take a side that somehow feels wrong either side you pick!
Also funny how most people forget how Jimmy got Lalo off on a clearcut senseless murder. Chuck never did anything even close to that, following that standard Chuck was a saint.
But he is NOT a saint. And the whole Lalo off thing, Mike coerced Jimmy into doing it. Jimmy even asked Mike later about why he had to do that and Mike didn’t answer.
@@nont18411 Jimmy didn't have to do shit, he did it because he wanted to - it's the reason the entire courthouse was against him after that. Stop excusing this POS.
They are both Evil. Chuck has a sin hatred, his constant hatred for Jimmy and always playing the holier than though card to him played a part in making Saul Goodman, he never loved Jimmy and couldn't let go of his grudge against him. He got in Jimmy's way everytime he tried to do good and kept breaking him down, constantly trying to make him choose another career by sabotaging his career as a lawyer and blocking every opportunity he had going for him that he had control over. He always had to play the saint in every situation and tried to pretend he could do no wrong. Jimmy was a manipulative, sly, and charismatic con who hurt everyone around him for his sake with no remorse at the time. He ruined so many lives and got people killed while trying to get to the top and worked with a bunch of shady people. Both of these characters work hand in hand at being evil but in their own ways.
Both Jimmy and Chuck were traumatized and depressed before their falling out. Chuck was traumatized and depressed that his parents never appreciated him despite working so hard to be a lawyer. He was jealous and traumatized that Jimmy never got punished by his parents and they favored Jimmy more than him. Jimmy was traumatized and depressed other people wouldn’t appreciate him as a lawyer despite his hard work. Jimmy was jealous and traumatized of Chuck being a respectable lawyer and Jimmy still being treated like a loser by other people. Chuck didn’t respect himself because of his parents ignored his achievements and they liked Jimmy more. Jimmy didn’t respect others because other people ignored his achievements and they liked Chuck more.
