Better Call Saul: Jimmy vs Mesa Verde 

I never got why she was upset. Maybe I skipped a part by accident. But I thought they were pretending to be mad at each other.

@@jedidas83 no, she was legit mad because she called off the plan of blackmailing mesa verde but Jimmy ignored her and continued the plan anyway.

I thought it was way more then they agreed to take from Mesa Verda. Jimmy wanted to take it much further then Kim ever would.

@@jedidas83 It’s a bit complicated but the short version is Rich was suspicious of Kim so Kim called it off and wanted the guy to settle. Jimmy however decided to take a third option and used her confusion and anger at being blindsided to ward off any suspicion and complete the plan. However in doing so he deliberately went against Kim’s wishes and she no longer trusts him.

I also love how Rich stayed in his seat for Jimmy's presentation. Everyone was trying to quit the meeting but Rich was like "holup let him cook"

True, you always greet the highest rank first. And Kevin Wachtell is really not hard to spot as the boss.

I mean its Kim introducing Paige and Kevin to Saul so he doesn’t really purposely greet Kevin last. But yeah making the one comment about Kevin being his belt buckle definitely made Kevin more ticked off than he already was lol.

@@lovelessgarden60 actually he isnt. thats a tonality of contempt. its a bit different from venom but not too far off. tonality is the secret language of influence, and subtle differences in tonality is what makes a great actor. for example when saul goodman says "your're gonna wanna see this" he uses a tonality close to scarcity to make kevin really want to know what hes gonna show him and throughout the entire breaking bad show saul goodman uses a tonality of certainty which makes those around him feel certain about whatever hes saying regardless of it being true.

I always thought that it was part of their plan. They were married so both Kevin and Rich could argue that there's conflict of interests so they are pretendidng that porffesionally they are rivals when it comes to that case...

Bingo 👆I love when Kim calls him on it, when he blames them for what happened and they are supposed to “apologise”. Like he ignores all the warnings that were given, multiple times and keeps going as if he can do no wrong. He is a douche and deserves the “Saul Goodman” treatment.

It all really could've gone a simpler way if he had just used the other site and/or invested in it, especially when Saul was stretching the time with so many tricks to keep construction off the area; but he instead chose to stand his ground and viewed surrender as a jab at his character and self-respect. Not only that, but he viewed himself as capable of managing the situation and choosing to march to the beat of his own drum, ignoring his legal team that he had trust in. As Kim said, things would be better if he just listened a little better.

That Lawyer was small fry compared to all the Lawyers he's had to do battle with in BCS.

This experience is what made Saul able to absolutely clown on that flat-fee lawyer.

All those different elderly people's wills gave him lots of practice with names. He even remembered which of old Mrs. Strauss' nephews got which Hummel figurine, way after he stopped doing elder law

One of the best in the show. We are seeing the sleezy bus bench persona turned up to 11. This con man dressed as a lawyer comes in and makes all of them eat shit.

They had planned for it, just that the version Saul decided to go with was way more then she anticipated. She didn’t think he would go that far.
