It's ridiculous that the HBO show Succession has beat out BCS in the awards shows year after year. HBO must be lining some pockets!! lol I stopped watching Succession in S2. It was so stupid & vulgar. Peaky Blinders & Killing Eve (except final season) were also among the best shows IMO. If Rhea Seahorn doesn't win best actress Emmy for S6 then we know the awards are super rigged. 😡 😡 😡
For me the most heartbreaking moment in the whole show was after Howard told Chuck that it’s time to retire, and Chuck, straining, grabs a lamp, and cries “See? I’m better! Howard, I’m fine!” But you can tell he’s straining, and then it cuts to Howard’s face, with immense pity in his eyes, as he says “This is not what fine looks like.” Man, that exchange tore me up inside.
I love season 3, it’s my favorite season after season 5. I really enjoy the episode with the court room scene between chuck and Jimmy and chuck just loses it and let’s out his resentment towards Jimmy. One of the best scenes of the show!
Chuck and jimmys relationship reminds me of the relationship i have with my cousin And until now i didnt realise how badly i treated my cousin like chuck treated jimmy Im not gonna make the same mistake again Thank you vince gilligan for this show
I'm currently binging this series for the first time and absolutely loving it! I'm usually a Sitcom guy but last year I binged Breaking Bad and loved it, so as Season 6 is running it felt like the perfect time to binge through the series. I'm almost through Season 3 right now, so I'll be binging those last few episodes and then coming back to watch the Spoiler section!
I really felt for Jimmy this entire series. Chuck always resented Jimmy because his parents favored him more. But Jimmy always looked up to chuck. Yeah he F'd up a lot in life. But he tried so hard to change and chuck just couldn't get past his harsh resentment. I know what that's like. I always tried to please my older brother but my parents were always nicer to me cause I was the baby and still to this day, we have no relationship now that I'm almost 40 and my brother is 45 . That really hurt seeing chuck treat Jimmy like that, and then that last scene where he says he never cared about him. I felt that. Things could've been a lot different for those two, and that's real shit. Deep seeded resentment can ruin ya. I'm not defending Jimmy's life of crime. But still...it's heartbreaking
In the last episode of this season, Chuck tells Jimmy that he will always hurt people around him, because that's who Jimmy is. Its interesting considering Jimmy has so many more people who care about him than Chuck did. Chuck hurt his wife, his brother, his friend/partner-everyone. Very well done!
Chuck's ego got in the way of him being able to extend the olive branch and try to mentor Jimmy to be a "clean" lawyer. Jimmy's grifter skills could have helped make him an excellent lawyer who could think creatively and use his gifted people skills in many legal ways. I remember the scene with Jimmy at dinner with Chuck & his wife. Chuck was jealous of Jimmy's way with people, his charm, his sense of humor and ability to make his wife laugh. No matter how much more successful Chuck was in almost every other way Jimmy's one quality he excelled at over Chuck - charisma - drove Chuck nuts.
If you haven't seen chicanery re iee on legal I think you should but it is easily on of the best and most realistic court room seen on screen of all time
Hey Sean, sorry I’m commenting on the complete wrong video but this was the most recent video to grab your attention on since you normally comment on it about an hour after you post it. Im writing to ask how graphic and how much horror will be in DS2? You scratched the surface a little on your review but didn’t get too much into it (obviously not to spoil anything.) I know you said you wouldn’t take your kids but my brother is 11 1/2 and doesn’t like horror but will come with me to opening night and I just want to ask your opinion on this. Do you think he will be ok in the theater? Please don’t spoil but Thanks for your help
He compared the horror to sam raimi's evil dead 2!! So maybe skip through that one briefly, so maybe you can get an idea of how gory it is!! Hmm, in my opinion 11 1/2 is not yet a good age to watch too creepy stuff!! 14 is a better age to go for harder stuff!!
There's not really a way to answer that. There's monsters, demons, and zombies. People die violent deaths. Creatures pop out of the dark and kill people in jump scares. But it's also PG-13. I know my wife won't like all of that. But if you've seen an R rated horror film, you've seen something more intense than this. But if you don't watch horror films often, it has intense stuff.
Has expected, people seem to have bought the black and white portrayal of Chuck and Jimmy. Chuck is bad and unlikable and mean to his brother who just tries to do the best he can and earn his brothers affections, right? Jimmy, being likable and lovable does not change who he is. He is a criminal through and through who constantly breaks the law and shouldn't be a lawyer. Chuck is 100% right. Chuck got him out of a long prison stay and got him a job. Should Chuck have let Jimmy come to work as a lawyer for HHM? Absolutely not. Chuck's fault is that he is not straight up with Jimmy, but way that against Jimmy constantly breaking the law and doing things wrong. And ultimately in the end, his lies and deceptions killed his brother. Jimmy is a fantastic character and fun to root for, but he is not the the good guy in this story. The gaslighting done by Jimmy is masterful as Chuck is made to look and then go insane, leading to his death. Its extremely tragic. This is in no way meant to choose Chuck over Jimmy or anything of that sort. I just see way too much unearned sympathy for Jimmy in the comments. If you see yourself in Jimmy, then you are doing things terribly wrong in life.
