Better Call Saul Season 5 Deleted Scenes EXPLAINED 

The Lalo Nacho scene should have stayed to build the tension and toy with the viewer-- does Nacho say or do something that might tip his hand:? Does one of Lalo's housekeepers pick up on something Lalo may not have? Lots of ways to do it-- just a thought.

That moment when you realize that Walt and Skyler had more honesty to each other than Jimmy and Kim. There is no way this relationship won’t doom. And the question about if they were together during Breaking Bad, it doesn’t matter. They will eventually be apart anyway in Gene’s timeline.

Ok so the first thing I thought when I saw Deleted Scene 4 was that talk with Schweickhart she has in Season 2 (?) where he says that his bosses let him handle something on his own that they knew he wouldn’t win, and how the same thing happened to her at HHM. I just thought it was an interesting parallel that I kinda wish they’d kept in.

I actually like the shot with Mike and the window, it may seems like nothing but it is really symbolic that he chose to close the window after a long deep thought looking to the horizon of legal, but pretty broke and boring life. ^^ He chose to stay into Fring's world. Nacho and Lalo getting the money and the car is really cool too ^^

Great video as usual! btw, as for what is canon or not, any scene that are just camera switches, like the one with Jimmy leaving the office whistling it really doesn't matter to me in terms of canon because obviously it's just different camera perspectives.. As for dialogue I always lean towards the side of thinking that any unique dialogue that was cut to be non canon.. Like Lalo telling Nacho the reason for bringing extra cash, to me that would not be canon it they decided to cut it.. But that's just the way I usually like interpret it.

I have to rewatch to check, but doesn't Lalo know that Gus will bring less money because he gave up the drops. That could be why Lalo wanted to add more to his pile.

Looking at the room with all of the Salamanca money, how much would you guess is on those shelves ? If i had to guess, the cousins took two bags worth 7 mil, so i would times that by 10. So i would roughly say 100 to 150 mil

Deleted Scene 4: This would have reinforced a sub-plot that got cut. Remember when Kim was using the voice-activated recorder, dictating a memo to Viola interspersed with instructions? Well, look again - she never shuts it off. She goes on to make several sarcastic and disparaging remarks to Jimmy about Kevin and her Mesa Verde gig in general. I was sure that Viola (who had made at least one catastrophic error already) was going to mishandle the assignment, and those remarks would find their way to Kevin's ears. But it never happened. They may have intended to have Viola delegate that assignment while she was away, and the underling fucks it up (or is very upwardly mobile) and, voila, there are big changes in the hierarchy.

Jimmy being called a grifter by Kevin Wachtell probably had already been planned in the script. So going on a vacation or gifted that opportunity did not fit the thematic storyline with Everett Acker's situation.

Why the Salamancas can just access the Vault like this i dont really understand, and they take the Ferrari from the Garage, to pass it on as a "Present". Would Don Eladio be that stupid, i mean he is the Cartellboss, not?

*Season 6 spoilers ahead* Regarding the third deleted scene, I think you're making a lot of important points about how Kim feels about Jimmy. Yes, they've been drifting apart and she feels conned that she wasn't in on his plans to use 'Saul Goodman' as his dba - then again, IIRC he does tell her it was a spur-of-the-moment kind of decision. She probably feels more conned about how Jimmy played her in front of Rich and Kevin. It didn't make sense to me that she'd want to get married after being betrayed like that. The superficial explanation she gives is spousal privilege - I think the real reason is that she wants to cheat Jimmy out of his Sandpiper money. Being married automatically gives her access to at least half of that (I didn't see them singing a prenup) and maybe she'll find a way to get all of it. The Sandpiper money is also the reason she wants to go after Howard, and that part she's not even secretive about. It's also the reason we don't see her in Breaking Bad - they have broken up by then. Remember how Jimmy tells Walter White that the world is a cruel place? I suspect what Kim does to Jimmy is part of his thinking there. I suspect people have had the wrong idea about Kim. They idolize her. I think she's not only becoming a bad influence on Jimmy, but we're also seeing that she can be quite mean, as evidenced by how she threatens Craig and Betsy Kettleman. Note also that in season 6 episode 2, she lies to Jimmy about why she wants to come with him to see the Kettleman's. She plays it off as just having the time, but really she doubts he can pull it off on his own (he thinks the carrot is enough, she knows they'll need the stick). Watch episodes 1 and 2 of season 6 with my theory of how Kim wants to cheat Jimmy out of his Sandpiper money in mind and you'll see in their interactions how Kim is conning the conman.
