Trailer for 'Better Handwriting for Adults' featuring a Phletter
GENERAL STUFF
I am retired from two careers of primary school teaching when I was deputy head of a Middle School and Primary School, and as a self employed Chalkboard Artist from 2002 until I reached the grand old age of 65 in 2016. Since I retired it’s like a second childhood but with more expensive toys.
SORRY BUT my website does no longer exist. Use these links below to buy my FOUR FULL LENGTH VIDEO $10.00 (approx £7.50) directly via Fastspring

I play guitar and write songs and have written about 14 songs for the local BBC radio station. I run a weekly (weakly) evening Acoustic session at a local pub and have been doing so for 14 years now. I also started an afternoon acoustic session in a quite large cafe in Nuneaton. Both premises were former songwriting clients of mine.
Much of the music I use on this channel is taken from epidemicsound.com free to use on RU-vid for a reasonable monthly fee, and sometimes I suffer you with my own music.
Gear that I use:
DJI Mavic Mini Drone.
Iphone X for camera, generally front facing so I can see myself in frame. Super quality especially if I keep the lens clean.
Gimble is a Q2 Smooth by Zhiyun, I ought to use this more often because it was expensive.
Canon G7mk2
Rhode videomicro mic with iPhone (if necessary in the wind)
Rhode videomic to do voice over on computer
Video editing with Final Cut Pro X
Polarduck Mini Tripod for mobile phone. This is so good and under £10.00 I bought two.
Lamcou bendy leg tripod
Tall Tripod is a Velbon CX 540
Mono pod is a Manfrotto Compact MMC3-02 and is very useful for getting high angles that look like low flight drone shots and so easy to carry on my bike along with the mini tripod.
Money from ARTWORK SOLD will go to the MONA FOUNDATION

I am a follower of the Bahá'i Faith and some of my philosophical ideas may show through in comments that I make, but, by and large, I’ll not make direct reference to my beliefs.

I also enjoy gardening but lay no claims to have any expertise, and you might catch me out in the countryside of Warwickshire and nearby Leicestershire on a walk with my wife or on a bike ride.
Please comment below to inform further plans for my vlogs. I’d love to hear from you. If you don’t you will just get whatever bubbly ideas float to the surface of my slightly muddled elderly mind.

I watched your other RU-vid video on handwriting for adults and I like your handwriting! (It was nicer than it is in this particular video!) I want to buy the video, but I'm not sure the file format will work on my my Mac.

I just bought your video and I'm enjoying it, but I wish you had a blog or something more to share. It's nice seeing different types of handwriting, but where do they come from? Everyday handwriting can be very creative and individualized. I'm always trying out different ideas based on things I've seen others do. Where are some good places to look?

One can admire the sample handwriting in the beginning of the video for hours! One thing I notice here is that your letter construction is very stiff and heavy up and down movement is used to connect the letters .(In a way this is also beautiful) . In your traditional cursive , I remember my primary school teacher instructing the students not to take the pen away from the paper and keep joining the letters. Btw do you move your elbow or your fingers?.

There are a few factors in improve handwriting . A place I found which succeeds in merging these is the Secret Smart Scripter (google it if you're interested) without a doubt the no.1 resource that I have ever seen. Check out all the amazing info .

Hi john, love your sign and handwriting! What pen are you using for this letter? I personally love writing and have a fountain pen in my hand when relaxing, I write down nonsense (bits of conversations that I hear... But fun to read over later tho!!)

Okay, I bought your video and it was pretty good. I especially enjoy watching you write. You demonstrated an italic fountain pen and I think it was a Pelican, but I couldn't tell which model. Would you please post that? Or could you recommend an italic fountain pen that doesn't cost hundreds of dollars, please!

Hi Anne, glad you liked the video. The pen I bought from a craft stall at a major Art Fair. It was made by a pen maker and wood turner. They just buy in the pen components. I paid £50 (approx $75 dollars) but it was money well spent.

Could you recommend an affordable brand? I think $75 isn't too bad, but once it gets over $100, I'm not sure. My penmanship isn't bad, just boring. I think an italic fountain pen looks like fun.

Try a 2.4mm. Pilot parallel pen. They are about $15 and are maybe not a fast italic pen but they are great fun to use. The flow is great and very consistent performance. You might also try some wider ones. Other than that I can't suggest any italic fountain pens. When I found the one I have I was both surprised and pleased. You'll need to keep looking. See other RU-vid using the Pilot pens I have done one but I think I call it a Pental pen which, I confess, is wrong.
