I've always been a fan of Illusions Football even though it falls a tad bit on the niche side of the hobby. This year's 2023 Panini Illusions NFL released this past Wednesday and I'm not so sure about it this year. Today we're checking out a First off the Line box which promises one auto to /50 or less and one additional parallel to /15 or less.
This set has always been a fun blend of thick stock cards and acetate inserts, with pretty decent rookie patch autos and vet autos sprinkled in. What happened Panini?

As long as people are spending money on their product they will continue to keep doing this stuff. They aren’t even attempting to acquire game used memorabilia, they’re just lining their own pockets. Panini doesn’t control the market, the buyers do.

Awesome rip, I released my rip on my channel yesterday and got a sweet Stroud SSP acetate card. Didn't even realize it was an SSP at first. As always, great content and thanks for sharing. Let me know what you think of my rip if you get the chance to review.

First off. Just wanna say you are my favorite card. Breaker to watch you or one of the very few ones that will say the truth about how bad hobby boxes are Hopefully someone reads this who watches these videos. Who is thinking about buying hobby boxes and listens to my story...... It started with when lamelo ball came into the league. I got hooked. I bought my first box of certified for around five hundred bucks. And believe it or not. I actually pulled a redemption lamelo ball. My very first hobby box..... $24000 later in my addiction. That is the best card that I have ever pulled. Do not fall trap to these hobby boxes. The hits are very few and far in between ninety percent of the time, you won't even make back ten percent of the money you invest in that hobby box..... Please, people do not fall victim to Panini's trap. Wait for the boxes to come out and then just buy the cards you want. Don't gamble your money on hobby boxes. Take it from someone who lost a substantial amount of money and have nothing to show for it. Except for some fancy pieces of cardboard.

They are giving out 150 panini points in every other Rookie & Stars blasters ...for $30 So they have to make up for it somewhere...So why not in the FOTL HOBBY BOXS LOL

What if with the points you could get cards from the set the were over printed and stamped in some way or numbered even. You could hit a big card which is not technically part of a set. Toughts?

The amount of points being pulled getting ridiculous. Also it should be 500 minimum if they insist on putting points in hobby boxes. More Wild Card Points and higher values could have made it a fun program. When is the actual date Panini is DONE? Great content as always RGL

The only cards I mess with are Contenders, Optic, Classic and Chronicles, I like more traditional cards. The shiny crap with more shiny crap on top of more, I don't mind it with the inserts. Base cards should be basic and the best cards should level up based on rarity. Also points and redemptions should be banned.

Am I stupid why do people see "not from any SPECIFIC game or event" and think that means "not from ANY game or event"? Does the word specific not mean anything? It should mean they can't tell you what game it was from. As in if a player played for 10 years and 15+ games per season it could be any of those 150 games.
