I don't have a whole lot of dexterity in my hands so the palomar is the easiest for me to tie. I'll probably stick to it for now, but I do love learning new knots (that my hands can't tie lol).

I watched Tyler’s video and have tried it and so far it’s been working out well. But I still tie a palomar knot about 50%just because it is faster at times.

2nd strongest is strong enough! At least when it comes to braid applications. I’ve never had a Palomar knot fail with braid that I know of. I’ve recovered broken off frogs and the line has always broken away from the knot. I have had the knot fail with flouro, though. I stopped using the Palomar with flouro a few years ago and went to the San Diego jam. I can’t say it’s never failed, but that’s usually my fault for being lazy on retying I hadn’t heard of this knot being called the fishing fool knot but I have used it with flouro and it’s worked ok

I’ll definitely universal this knot a try but I’ll probably stay with a polymer knot if I have to retie on the water . Tyler puts out some great videos . Thanks for the tutorial JT !!
