Way to own your space! You’ve crafted an awesome home theater. The biggest compromise anyone can make is giving up on their dreams because of challenges… support your joy at 100% and it will never let you down… Great job fellow cinema owner! Don’t forget to give it a cool name. Mine is the “Miniplex”😆😆👍✌
It is from Room's to Go actually. We didn't want to go too expensive with a couch as it was going to probably see some abuse with entertaining, kids, etc.
0:47 For me, it's nearly impossible to tell native 4k apart from a 4-way eshift like the Epson 12000. I've looked at the difference in a half dozen projector comparisons, and I literally need to pause a test pattern and get two feet away from a 130" screen to see the difference. I still like that Sony though. 2:25 Be careful not to block the vents, it'll shorten the life of the receiver. 3:35 That somewhat negated one of the advtanges of an AT screen... having all three speakers the same is actually IDEAL. Having said that, a vertical MTM configuration is fine and is much better than the horizontal MTM placement that often get used. 4:05 Depends on the speaker. Some are designed with the expecation that they have infinite baffle volume behind them. (I.E., no box) Space looks awesome!
That was what Screen Innovations recommended for my setup. The center channel with the smaller woofers in comparison with the L/R's provides quicker response and more surface area for vocals. Having the larger 8's is better for stereo music listening.
@robb.sutton Oof. You got sold a barrel of snake oil with that one. Big time. A center speaker is fine, but not ideal. Good to know how they explained that to you, though; I think I'm going to reach out and shame them. This industry, man. Lot of snakes.
There is exhaust out the back into the only unfinished space in the basement. For loud sessions I’ll open the door too. I don’t care if it is open while we use it. She didn’t want to see the components while they weren’t in use.
