Oh Christa! I just love you so much. This is such a wonderful home remedy and I will definitely be making this because I have always been a bit concerned about using anything with petroleum jelly. This homemade ointment will work perfectly. And I love the addition of clove oil! Perfect!! But I have to say...what warmed my heart the most was what you said toward the end. Yes, this can be such a hard time of year for so many people who feel alone and downtrodden. Reaching out to them - even with the smallest of gestures - can make such a huge impact in their life. A number of years ago, someone came up to me at church. I didn't recognize them but they thanked me for something I had given them years earlier!! They said that they were having a really rough day and what I did lifted their spirits. I have to confess, I couldn't even remember what I had did but it showed me that sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest impacts. Your words are so important for all of us to hear and a gentle reminder to always be reaching out to others - this time of year and always! We all need each other through good times and bad. Being surrounded with a feeling of love and being cared for can make all the difference in the world to someone! Thank you SO much for being you and for all you do and share. You are the most beautiful soul on RU-vid. The world needs more people like you!! Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy, and Blessed New Year! Love, Mary

Great video and helpful. I have to mention honey for burns and infections. It saved my dad from having his foot amputated when the antibiotics werent working. And I've used it on burns and prevented scarring and blistering. (The deeper the burn the longer you'll need to leave it on.) And this is for serious burns that most go to doctors for, as with a cutting torch. No infection. No scar. Soak gauze in honey and wrap over it. I actually am using it on a finger right now for an infected dog bite yesterday that made it swell up as big as my thumb. Pain is already going away after just a few hours. God Bless.
😀😀😀Toilet seals are Pure Beeswax!.Any hardware store!. Please ...only use new ones.🤪🤪🤪 All kidding aside, they are as pure as you'll get. Also great for lubricating zippers.👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
Can you share with me how to infuse the fresh plantain infusion? Do you use it fresh or dry it first. I am always afraid that it will mold if I use is fresh. Thanks.
@@icecreamladydriver1606 Dear, you can go through the same processes she describes in this video, and then just substitute plantain. Plantain is a wonderful wild herb (although you can grow it yourself). I, personally, think it's magnificent, especially for blood clotting / open wounds. I just chew the leaves up, place the 'spit ball' on wound, wrap it with more leaves, and rest. It's sort of like an onion poultice on your foot overnight to pull out infection. God said the herbs were for the healing of the nations, and I agree. Blessings dear.
I've only seen one other genuinely angelic person like you in my lifetime-..Mr Rogers. Thank you for caring for us the way he cared for children . So very glorious. My newest prayer is that I can go live in Arizona or maybe southern Nevada and be a homesteader. Growing my own vegetables and raising farm animals on about maybe two to three acres
DITTO!!This lady give great new credence to the old attage "Beauty is as Beauty Does" to us all , especially now, in March of 2020! I use Emu oil in place of Neosporin and it works amazingly. If I don't have the oil I use Honey(Raw) or wild honey or Manuka when I can get it on sale.
Yes mam! I too LOVE Comfrey! One of God’s amazing herbs! I also love plantain for a lot of great reasons. I call them herbal superheroes🤗. And that little copper pot is beautiful❤️Great video! I get so excited when I get a notification! Looking forward to more! Love the beautiful sharing of God’s Word!! God’s blessings to you!❤️❤️
My experience with Neosporin not long ago. I was avid user of Neosporin until the last time on a cut turned into almost loosing a huge chunk of my finger. Went to the ER, doctor said don't use Neosporin. You don't really need a triple antibiotic. He recomended Bactrum ointment. He also said they over promote it. I was surprised because I've used it for years. Never again. So thank you for your recipe.
oh my God! I’m so glad that my pastor text me this wounderful blessings Chanel I’m passing it to my kid’s and grandkids God bless you and your family. This will definitely be my favorite channel I have so much to learn. I love homemade ingredients I believe and know as a Christian that our Lord left everything out there for us to use thank you for ur blessings Channel
I’ve been inundated by the wicked over the last few months, the young being lifted up by the wicked old. God’s message reaches out to us in various ways and watching this episode touch me when you spoke the words that gave me hope to continued fighting. I didn’t come here looking for spiritual healing but I got it as a bonus with your recipe for physical healing. God Bless...thank you!
Have you ever considered adding cold pressed caster oil? It's very healing. Promotes Wound Healing Applying castor oil to wounds creates a moist environment that promotes healing and prevents sores from drying out. Venelex, a popular ointment used in clinical settings to treat wounds, contains a mixture of castor oil and Peru balsam, a balm derived from the Myroxylon tree (7Trusted Source). Castor oil stimulates tissue growth so that a barrier can be formed between the wound and the environment, decreasing the risk of infection. It also reduces dryness and cornification, the buildup of dead skin cells that can delay wound healing (8). Studies have found that ointments containing castor oil may be especially helpful in healing pressure ulcers, a type wound that develops from prolonged pressure on the skin. One study looked at the wound-healing effects of an ointment containing castor oil in 861 nursing home residents with pressure ulcers. Those whose wounds were treated with castor oil experienced higher healing rates and shorter healing times than those treated with other methods
For a young lady you present some of what appears to be similar to my grandmother and great grandma’s remedies. I was of the younger generation that had modern medical means and ideas. For my parents it was convenience to go to the modern day pharmacy although mom still used old methods from time to time. She never failed to reminder methods of old remedies, a bar of soap and a paddle. For reference, I am 70 years old. I enjoy your video subjects and presentations.
Having only recently found your channel, I want to thank you for such wonderful topics. I will watch absolutely everything you put out there. Thank you for your generosity in sharing this knowledge. From Australia.
I love your videos! Your very calming ,caring, love that you share God's word. God bless you and your family. Thank You for sharing this information with all of us!
Thank you! Comfrey external use only, it is said to be a cancer risk when taken internally. Oil things like rose water keep better in dark bottles & dark places( sunlight could reduces effectiveness & shelf life).
Great supplement to my homemade health box..Just one thing, I've tried the Altoids tins for many things but when they get warm even body temperature, anything oily or waxy will melt and leak out since the tins have no gasket.
My homemade ointment is granulated sugar and iodine. When I saw how good it worked on horses, started using it on any cut or scrape that I sustained. Only downside is that the iodine will stain your skin.
Thank you so much for sharing your recipe! I’ve now watched a few of your videos regarding various topics and the one thing that is evident in those videos is that you are a beautiful person with a beautiful soul. Thank God for letting your light shine! Also thank you for sharing scripture and reading Proverbs. It’s a blessing to me to hear those words. ❤️❤️❤️
I just made a batch of this. I used lavender since I had it on hand but if I can find some clove I will make a half batch of that. It made 7 small jars I had from making my homemade mustard for gifts. Thank you so much for the recipe.
This is good timing for me. I plan to make different versions in the little jars - clove, lavender, oregano, frankincense, cbd-infused coconut oil - the possibilities are endless and can be geared to various issues. Thank you and blessings on your work.
I want to make some of this. I ordered comfrey leaves but tney sent me comvrey root instead. Can you use the root in the infusion or does it have to be the leaves
lI love the knowledge you share ! the nurse in me has to say right on with this , with an exception, liquids are measured by volume not weight, so just get out your measuring cup , just so all know they don't need to run out for a digital scale thnx , & blessings to you
I used apple seed oil, arnica oil, meadow foam oil, organic grape seed oil, over a quart of oil. Mixed in 1/4 lb of comfrey, organic of course. Vitamin E, tea tree oil, frankincense oil, clove oil. I may make a batch of MSM with my DMSO for my experiment to a 2 oz mixture of the base. I will also use white fir oil. God bless you brothers and sisters 💞
Thank you so much!! I will definitely be making some of this. I call those "bonus jars". My kids think I'm crazy for saving ALL the bonus jars until they get some homemade goody in them.
Burns, (not severe ones) can be treated with good ol' mustard (French's will do) applied for about twenty minutes. It's an old chef's kitchen remedy. I have tried this a lot more that once. Pain was permanently gone after treatment. The only time it didn't work at first was when I was burned by splashed oil. I forgot to wash it off first. After did, it worked.
I made something similar of this nature a few weeks ago, and just love it. I made, basically, a hand salve using 1/4 cup beeswax, 1/4 cup coconut oil, and 1/2 cup olive oil. I simply placed all the ingredients into a shallow mason jar, boiled the jar with a lid tight around it, then let it cool after everything had melted and after adding some lavender oil!
Thank you so much for this video! I needed some salve today and had all the ingredients on hand (other than the comfrey, which I believe I am allergic to). The essential oils I used were tea tree oil, clove, frankincense, helichrysum and lavender. I put it on my ouchie not long after making it, and it feels better already. THANKS AGAIN...! (I would have also added some geranium essential oil, but didn't want to overdo on the essential oils.) Just thought I would mention what I used in case it might help someone who is low on another or other essential oils in the recipe.
Hello from Hamilton Canada, Thanks for a beautifully put together , easy to make salve. Your soothing voice and your instructions add a lot of flavor to your video. Thank you
Dear Lady, thank you so very much for sharing this. I could really use this Neosporin replacement, but due to my fixed income, the fact that I can't pay my bills now as it is, and other issues, I am not sure I can get the ingredients, but if I can I will try to make some. This time of year is particularly depressing for me, so your comments at the end of you video are very much appreciated and I hope that people will listen to you. My Mother died in 1984, my Father died in 2012, by brother died in February 2018 and my sister died in August 2018. I had a neighbor that I allowed to put her single wide home on my property, but she is engaged to a guy in another state, so she is moving away. It just gets terribly lonely. I miss the hugs the most...part of what it means to be family to me. Struggling with health issues too...and desperately trying to secure a job...pardon the moaning, I apologise. Anyway, thank you again for sharing this!
Praying for you Wayne! I hope you have our can find some Christian fellowship in your area. Sometimes you just have to put yourself out there : ) Maybe find a place to volunteer an hour or two a week. Anyway I hope you will have a blessed week.
Back in the day we called comfrey "knit bone". It was used as a poultice & held in place with a bandaging. It also makes a potent plant fertiliser. Good for hearting up cabbages. Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺 🤗💖
This is such an amazing blessing to have stumbled across, especially during these uncertain times. I had no idea the numbing affect of clove oil. In my husband's family, bad teeth are unfortunately genetic. I will go right out and buy some of that oil for him and my wonderful MIL. Thank you for taking the time to show all of us how to take care of ourselves instead of relying on big businesses.
If you are allergic to Neosporin, I highly advise trying Polysporin that lacks the allergen that Neosporin is well know for. Polysporin comes as both an ointment (a bit greasy) or a creme (not greasy). It honestly is a better solution for more serious wounds that home remedies might not be about to heal.
Just an added thought. I have recently discovered your channel and was very excited yo see all the great videos offered!! I love the way you present everything too. Your voice is soothing and calm. Thank you for all you do! You are now one of my favorites!
You are Incredible! This is an excellent product for you to demonstrate for us! I would suggest you find if a q-tip, coffee stirrer, toothpick should be used to PREVENT "fingers from contaminating" the pot of the triple-healing balm! Thanking God For You and your Talents!
It amazes me on how much you know on plants and herbs,I'm 65 and been trying to b that good for a while ,,lol but I ain't there yet ,,luv to watch ur videos
I'm making this today. My only change is that I'm doing a hot oil infusion with turmeric and chamomile instead of comfrey. Thanks for sharing your recipe!
I tried to grow comfrey on my yard with no luck. I was surprised it didn't grow. So I make the salve with plantain leaf. I use it head to toe from chapped lips, scrapes, sunburn and even hemorrhoids. 😉
You are such a blessing ! Thank you for sharing I subscribed to your channel.I use to make all my own Lypsil ,creams and even franinsence soap... now as a senior less room to make things for now !Have a specaial time with your family Christa and remember why we do Christmas...All the gifts care nice, but JESUS is the reason for the season!
Wonderful video on first aid home remedy ...Thank you sis! You always bring a smile to my face...your love for the Lord Jesus shines!!! You are such a wonderful Encourager!!! May the LORD Bless you in a special way!!!
Thank you for this recipe. I will review the video again so the recipe can be noted. Also, thank you for mentioning the lonely. I am often that person (complicated family issues; holidays usually alone) so I can say that a simple text or card will be very appreciated or if you can invite them over for coffee/tea and holiday treats to spend an hour, it's heavenly. Last, great Scripture to finish with and good to bear in mind during these trying times.
I made this and it is amazing. I have used it on skin rashes and infections and it heals it right up within a few days. It is really better than the Neosporin I normally use. I am making a second batch today. I found out my neighbor was in the hospital and almost lost his leg due to diabetes infection. I am going to give him a jar of this to see if it will help him be able to keep the infection on his leg from getting that bad. Of course his diet would be helpful, but, that is a whole nother video! Thank you so much Christa for your wonderful videos! You are definitely my favorite! God bless you and the work you do.
You seem like such a beautiful person! And this potion sounds amazing. I have just ordered all the ingredients and will be making a big batch forthwith! Thank you!
When I do my infusions I do them 50/50 Olive oil and fractionated coconut oil (the coconut oil not only with its antibacterial and antifungal properties it extends the shelf life of the olive oil).... Then I do my infusions in a crock pot on low for an entire week (7 days...shaking it every day)... Then after the seven days I take it out and set it on the shelf for weeks ...It makes for a super strong infusion...
Christa, once again you have touched me deeply....spiritually, and even physically through a wonderful salve. I ALWAYS learn so much from you. I see God in you through your joyful presentation, and in the light of your eyes. Thank you.
Very informative, and helpful. I'm one of those who will be spending the holiday alone, it can be discouraging. I think I'll plan to help at the senior care facility or animal shelter next year. Bright Christmas to you and yours.
May you have a blessed Christmas. Getting out and meeting neighbors is good. Maybe bless them with a small baked gift and card with your name on it to help them remember you. People are so busy these days but this is a great and acceptable time of the year to reach out to others and strike up a conversation that you might not have otherwise! God bless!
Hi Sonya. No need to be glum. Make it a special day for yourself. Start the day with church service (if disabled there are several on tv), you are not alone when you spend time with the Lord. Celebrating Christmas developing your personal relationship with the Lord is what is it all about and reminds you that are not alone. Make or buy special treats for meals for the day (either you favorites or something you like but dont ordinarily spurge on (cheese cake? something that gives you happy memories?). put on christmas music or christmas movies. Pamper yourself with a home spa day (mani/pedi and a great facial mask). its a present to yourself. i hope these suggestions help.
Another wonderful video my dear and i love the readings at the end and even though i don't go to church i do try to live my life with a pure heart and soul so i wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year .
