Sword Art Online, a title that you could say is popular. I mean as far I remember it was THE anime everyone watched and talked about before Attack on Titan was released. Now the other thing anime is remembered for is it is that it is hated as its bad. Like really bad. Or well that is what many people say but its honestly not that bad. Don’t get me wrong there are strong arguments to be made for it not being good. But most hate hate towards SAO is bandwagon style and I'm not having that.
For a series that is known to most having weaker qualities it does have a surprising yet very scary amount of games. which I all bought, why? well curiosity got the better of me. Plus a small part of me hopes that the games can at least make the story work better than the anime did.
So yeah, it’s basically me gambling a small chance of success on a series that I like for odd reasons and to just to see how far I can get in the series of games before I burn myself out. And of course reviewing every game along the way.

I just discovered your channel and oh man I can't wait for your next SAO game review video. All I've been doing during this month was watching SAO from season one to Alicization war of underworld part2 and after I finished War of underworld part 2, I'm really carving for more SAO related stuff. And the console games are the most interesting to me. I don't know which game to play first but Imma play the Gun Gale Online one first and then Alicization Lycoris.

well first of all thanks for checking out my channel, always appreciated! man I really need to catch up on Sword Art Online anime, never continued beyond Gun Gale Online :/ thou I am really looking forward to the game in that setting. Though first I gotta play two other games before I get there and Alicization Lycoris is all the way at the end^^;

This game is the remake of the first game the only changes are the hollow area and new combat

some harem is okay… sao harem is bad on so many levels why did they even try to establish a girlfriend when the guy just wags his tail for everyone else? also the elements they try to make kirito smart/awesome whatever just are very badly written .. and in turn just means everyone around kirito is even more stupid.. sao wouldve been just so much better without this heavy harem out of nowhere nonsense… though.. hollow fragment is still one of the better ones.. the more modern it gets.. the worse it gets as well :( but yeah .. pretty much as you said, so much wasted potential because apparently the creator is 8 yrs old and wants lots of snu snu..

Even thought the Combat is really bland with only parries, stuns, dodges and skills at least for me this game´s combat is better than Hollow Realization´s combat

I ended up getting tired of Hollow Realization combat when your attacks stopped feeling like they had any impact and when bosses started becoming damage sponges. I'm glad Fatal Bullet is much better in those areas

@@LunarBloodRose27 I kinda agree, Fatal Bullet and Re: Hollow Fragment handle Scaling much better and Attacks in Hollow Realization don´t have any weight from the start

Is it worth getting and playing this day and age. Or am I better off with hollow realization?

Unfortunately I cant say anything about that yet as I havent gotten the chance to play Hollow Realization. right now I am finishing up Lost Song review, the game before Hollow Realization.

I spent 240 hours playing it last year. Got the platinum on it and the rest of all the sao games. I liked it. Hollow realization is awesome too, it's more like an action rpg where hollow fragment is more like an MMO as far as how combat works. Fatal bullet is very good too.
