Rapper/Producer 30KillaBeatz/RIch Goat was born Brandon Beasley in Detroit Michigan, 30K was raised by his hard-working mother and stepfather in multiple locations such as Virginia, Tennessee, Germany, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Hawaii because of his father's affiliation with the military. He was also known for getting in trouble in school and starting fights. After school, he would go to the Youth Center and wait till his parents picked him up after they got off work. There he saw an old piano that the other kids would play with from time to time. He was amazed and started messing with it himself. He got so good he played one of Beethoven's songs in front of the whole school. All the other parents were amazed and asked his mom if young 30K could teach their kids how to play the piano.

Great review man. Heard good things about the KH310s. The low end throws me off only cuz I’ve been normalized to hear heavy bass. The tightness is great for mixing accuracy if listening position is placed accurate 🔥

That was a banging review.👍👍👍 Do you have a link to some of the tracks you've mixed on them? Be nice to hear it... $5,000 is cheap for a pair of professional studio monitors. If you are a mix engineer, you need three sets of speakers and listen in three different location. Near field, mid field and large field monitors. Then listen in the studio, car and at home. I am glad you brought that up about your room situation. A good thing to know is rectangle in shaped rooms sound better than square. But at the end of the day, rock what you got... Talent is number one... My advice is, if you really want to raise your game production wise, invest in a good sound interface, mic preamp and a microphone. Vocals quality is crucial and can make our break your mix. Always dream big!

How do they compare to your Adam's ? I have the Neumanns and i love them, my friend has the Adam's biut i have not heard them both in the same room.

Depends alot of what Adam monitor we`re talking about. I currently own the 310`s but had Adam A7x before. The Neumanns are far more accurate in the Bass, mids and upper mids, but the top end of the Adam ribbons is really something magical. I found that the Neumanns(even if they are more boring and analytical sounding than the Adams) translate alot better compare to the Adams. With the Adams, it always sounded good in the studio, but when checking the mix on other systems, there was just something completely off with the mix. It was either the low end(to much or to little) or the top end. Not so anymore with the 310`s. They translate so well that I dont ever need to do the famous car-check anymore. What I hear is what I get.

Those monitors are a " sealed cabinet " design .. Meaning it has no port . Which makes a speaker have less SPL but a more accurate low end without a sharp cutoff below the tuning of the port . Usually the woofer drivers that can achieve decent SPL without issues has to be a higher quality drivers with higher quality power amps . No port means no added group delay , or added comb filtering in lower frequencies . This is why these and the barefoot micromain 45's are the next monitors i want to try before buying . Ported speakers arent ever really accurate and ive always liked good sealed woofers vs ported .

Although you are mostly correct, and I also love non- ported monitors, it all depends if the manufacturer uses the ports to extend the low end response or not and how it’s done,ATC SCM45, for example, are ported and have excellent low end response and accuracy.

Bass Response is 90% the Room & Placement of the speakers. When you dont have an professional treated room you always have a lot of room modes with cancellations and peaks… ;-) A sub is always a good choice but you need DSP and measure them in, so why you not buy the KH750 ? . Specially with their MA1 its beter than sonarworks + you can experiment with placement. I‘m also a neumann user since many years. Had first the 310, after that i changed them to 120. Theyre were in my room better in terms of midrange & clarity. Because Neumanns MA1 Software was just released back then and was still too bugy i want something bigger and bought the Unity Audio Super Rock (1yr later with KH750 & finally workin MA1 Correction) wich are as heavy and big as the 310. Awesome speaker out of the UK. And now ìm back at neumann with the KH150 and still the 750… soon i bought a 2nd sub and try to get even better lowend performance. But everything only for music listening, no productions.

My statement about the Low end on the speakers were referring to the fact that I have tried multiple different speakers in my room, and these speakers by far has the most low end that have ever heard, almost giving the illusion that I have a sub already connected. I will be trying out that kh750 to see how they pair together. Also, never heard of that Neumann software but I will definitely be checking it out. Thanks for watching!

@@30killabeatz okey, i found it pretty hard to compare speakers without hearing them side by side. You forget a lot of things when days / weeks are between listening sessions. You can fix lowend problems basically first of course with good room treatment (Absorbtion & diffusion) and with external subwoofers. Subs are great because you can place them in the room where youve the least problems on the listening spot. Genelec has also some great tips and articles about it where and how you place subs probably. The only downside of neumann is that all of their MA1 stuff is build into the newer speakers. No external DSP Box. i hope that they will release some more MA1 Subwoofers, some bigger ones to get more flexibility. And btw they work at the moment on a Multi Channel Setup with their software. So maybe you can measure in an fully 5.1 or 7.1 / Atmos System or similiar with their software in the next year or so… interesting software, we will see if Sennheiser / Neumann see the potential and support it long enough with updates. Genelec GLM Software is still (for my taste) in a different league in terms of Webinterface, usability and of course the overall software quality and possibilitys

⁠⁠@@vtkzI second that, I have the 8341s with GLM kit, and a 7260 sub and it makes a huge difference, but acoustic treatment still critical, and yeah genelec (also Dynaudio) has great tips on their website, which I recommend.

@@DubFreakuencies yea correct. A friend of mine has the 8341 with DIY Subwoofers + miniDSP (Double Bass Array). He tested the GLM wich works easy at the first try. I stay with my neumann 150 & 750 and my Acoustic treatment. Its a great combo even with only one sub. But i wish neumann put out some bigger subs with more flexibility in terms of room modes compensation… we will see. The last few % of quality in the setup are the most difficult ones

Neumann spesker is not my favorit.. I have PMC 6.2 is a banger studio monitors best low end ever heard.. the blow me mind the power and clean massive punch this monitor have in the low end is incredible!👊🔥💥❤️😍. The mid and hi range is beautiful clean deep and very good stereo image 😱😲👌 Are the prices is heavy on this speaker!😱 A littel bit more we the neumann speaker 😂 Or never give the monitor back never ever!😂. I Love the sound from PMC ❤ fucking Good

they are not "cheap" at $700 a pair. and are you serious? you really think that krks or jbls can even come close to the hs8s? it takes focals, genelecs and atcs to outperform the yamaha, all of which cost 3 times or more

I have the KH120 here with the 750 sub. I'd highly recommend getting the 750 (unported) sub. The clarity of the 310s will massively improve, especially at higher SPLs, as the sub is taking load off the low drivers in the 310s. Any low harmonic distortion that may have been there in the 310s bass drivers will vanish. You also get the benefit of an unported sub, so the low end will still be extremely tight. You wouldn't believe how much better low end sounds when you get that extra octave of bass extension, especially with a Neumann setup. It's night and day. 🤌
