Can someone explain why the media is talking about Kirk Cousins like he's some transformational free agent QB. What exactly has he done in his career to make us think he's taking a team deep in the playoffs?
As a Hawks fan this is a perfect spot for Russ. Mike T is the right coach and their system is ideal. Russ has been humbled so I wish both he and the Steelers well. Must use the zone read, screens and run the ball up the gut. That's the system Pete used with ML and fit with the LOB to allow for sustained drives on O. Thus the LOB was fresh and destroyed everything. Our O wasn't great but it always had long drives even when we had to punt. I will be rooting for ya all. Russ is a legend here in Seattle even though he was dorky but he was our dork 😅😅.
LET GO RUSS!!!!🏈🏈🏈💯💯💯 26 TD'S & 8 PICKS IN 15 GAMES LAST YEAR!!! COACH MIKE TOMLIN,,,GROWN MAN COACH,,,WINNING COACH,,, CHAMPIONSHIP COACH & ORGANIZATION!!! COACH TOMLIN RESPECT HIS PLAYERS AS MEN!!! LETS GO RUSS,, CHAMPIONSHIP QB & CHAMPIONSHIP COACH & ORGANIZATION!!!!!!!🏈🏈🏈💯💯💯👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@@QueenChynaDoll He has a history of not getting along with teammates and coaches. Tomlin won't be having that. Plus you got plenty of 'grown men' in the NFL that do incredibly stupid things.
@@jetted_out He's terrible. Can't see over the OL (so cannot through over the middle) and now can't bail when his first read is open (because he's slow). His passer rating wasn't terrible last year but his QBR was horrific (meaning bad on 3rd down, sacks, bad decisions). Not to mention he's a clown!
I cant believe ESPN has enough mind control over people to make them think a qb who throws for 28 touchdowns and 8 interceptions isnt a starter in the NFL.
Steeler fan here - lifelong steeler fan - russel had more passing touchdowns then Kenny , mitch , and mason combined and less interceptions then all 3 of them combined (I think ) , he had more passing touchdowns then lamar Jackson who won mvp . For a million bucks it’s a no brainer . Talk about value buy .
Thank you for the great coverage on the Steelers getting Wilson. The Steelers have not made very much noise the last 10 years, Steeler fans are looking for an improvement,
It's interesting to read all the comments on social media and youtube. Steelers fans seem really positive and welcoming. I didn't know they had that kind of positivity. If it holds, Russ will thrive.
You obviously been chilling with the wrong steeler fans. Im happy we are making changes. Idk how russ is gonna pan out. He 36. He aint the big names that went thru. (Tom brady, Peyton manning) But i believe he will get a chance to pull the offense together. He just gotta be able to get us to come together offensively.
They make it seem like he's put his entire net worth on the line and needs to take the Steelers to the playoff this season or else his houses will be repossessed, his wife and kids will leave him, and he'll be living in a homeless shelter next offseason.
Playing QB in Denver is much different than Pittsburgh. Steelers want to run the ball and win on defense. Steelers are a playoff team that just upgraded at QB. Wilson just needs to be a game manager in Pittsburgh.
I think you have an open mind so I'm not going to attack you as hard as superzero. Your going to be better trust me when I say that russ is much better than Kenny but if your run game is not there know it's gonna be a long game he's gonna miss the obvious throws more than 5 times a game. Especially over the middle the only thing I don't know about the steelers is there oline (cuz who looks at the other team oline in their off days unless it's noticeably bad). Just get ready to see russ fumble alot big dawg.
Russell Wilson took a pay cut so the Steelers can buy some weapons for him so he can show the Steelers what he’s still capable of he’s a smart dude he’s doing what Brady would do take pay cuts so they can buy him weapons smart for both teams
Steelers could be SB favs now. Look at last years schedule and the scores. The defense shut everyone down while the offense scored their 1 TD a game. Not the QB but the entire offense scoring 1 TD. Thats how bad that offense was. Yet they finished 10-7. Wilson averages over 2 TDs a game just himself. If the defense plays the same or even gets better then its over. Ravens are not going to win the division.
Wishing russel great success, my broncos treated his whole situation unprofessionally, but he was not playing up to what he was getting paid, he couldnt beat the raiders in 3 games, hes gonna have it tough in his new division
That’s the thing . He’s coming to a team with little pressure . We never relied on goat qbs. All our “greats” aren’t usually ranked as the best of the best. But our RBs and defenses are.
how did they treated the situation unprofessionally? he was getting paid 40 million and 40 million guarantee momey to win yet he wasnt. he should of restructured his contract
This is insane…like I woke up on a Monday morning with Russell Wilson being a Pittsburgh steeler literally the last thing on my mind…actually not even a thought…
Idk how it wasn't a thought when that's all that's been talked about for the last week. All week, I've been religiously checking my phone to see if they signed him yet.
This is where Russ can follow the Kurt Warner run - Super Bowl with Rams, irrelevant with Giants,, Super Bowl appearance with Cards. A good opportunity with Steelers
This is a fantastic signing relative to the Steelers and their QB situation. Russ is significantly better than both Pickett and Rudolph and Steelers got him for a bag of Cheetos - Didnt have to spend any money or draft capital. Steelers made it to the playoffs with QB3's and QB2's. Russ instantly makes the Steelers better.
Says a lot about Pickett. I wish him the best but that division is the toughest top to bottom in the NFL. If your QB is healthy at the end of the year. You'll most likely win the division.
@@SkunkLifeMedia yeah I did watch the games and the defense was able to play good enough to beat Watson and Lamar. They can’t control that burrow got hurt and the ravens were resting their starters, but don’t all of a sudden act like they weren’t competing in their division cause they always do.
Thank you Russell! You've been one of my favorite players since being drafted. I hope you're able to retire a Steeler along with another super bowl championship.
Usually, a player betting on himself is a player on a 1 year contract with a team and the money he is getting is not top of market. Wilson is still getting 38 million, this is not really "betting on himself" situation.
Play Footbsll Russ be a good team mate and leader. Keep your hat on and don’t let your head get to big. Stay with in your self and stop showing off. Be a Professional. With out an office. Your office is in the locker room. Best of luck, keep it real.
I believe Russ is going to have a bounce back year and prove that Denver’s head coach was wrong and the biased media was wrong for making it seem like Russ isn’t good at all.
The biggest problem that the media has with Russell Wilson is that he is a man who carries himself with dignity and class. Not to mention a devout family man. Keep in mind, he’s raising a man’s kid who has 10 different children with about as many women. They hate Russell Wilson because he is the man that they don’t want other men who look like him to become. They primarily hate him for who he divorced and who he chose to marry. That’s a trend that those devils certainly don’t want to take hold!
Russell/ Pickett situation is like 2 people doing a job interview for one open position. Pickett interviews first/ I have 2 years experience in this position. I’m really still learning about the position. Next Russell comes in I have 12 years experience in this position. And I was a supervisor at my other job. Who will that supervisor/company hire. Then they tell both of them we will call 📞 you. Russell gets the job. Pickett gets the Thank you for applying but you’re not what we’re looking 👀 for at this time.!!
So where are all the "Wilson needs to ask himself how much he likes football" people who said there weren't any starting jobs out there for him? Lol. Yes he's going to have to perform but that starting job is his to lose, and he's now going to be captain of a team built in part with Denver's cap space. I don't know why anyone would ever have thought that he would be afraid of that.
They gon smack Denver up. Denver let their coach run the table. We’ve seen this before when the Texans let their coach destroy their team and send all their offensive talent to other teams
Russ making 40M to not play for Denver. It was always in the teams best interest in signing him to do so at the min. Allowing cap flexibility. He literally is making 41.2M and Steelers didn’t have to dip into any cap lol 😅
When he went to Denver, I wondered how long it would be until Denver people were complaining about the offensive line being bad. It wasn't long. It won't be long until the same thing happens in Pitt, unless they figure out how to get Russ to stop holding onto the ball, and get him to realize that he's not 25 and can't run away from everyone any more.
Bears need to keep Fields and turn their draft pick into a few years worth of extra picks by trading down. Why would Atlanta want Cousins? They're in rebuild mode with a long way to go. Why would Cousins want to go into that situation?
Coming from a Browns fan, Steelers about to be a dark horse. The entire AFC north could possibly make the playoffs next year. Sean Payton is overrated and the Broncos will be terrible under his tenure.
Russell Wilson. Welcome to Steelers Nation. This Football Team Has everything they need now, to compete. Also, try to get Kirk Cousins and draft Penix Jr.
Guy is brown jacket doesn't get it. Denver didn't want to be locked into 39 mil for 2025. Seattle didn't pay him to leave they got a kings ransom of picks/players.
So this means they can cut him after they realize that "the little bit" left in his tank can't get thru that tough Division. They must plan on revamping the entire offense with draft picks. They have to get him some help, this isn't the Young Wilson that can create instant offense by himself.
Adam Shefter is stealing money. He tells you nothing. That nugget about Russ playing against Pittsburgh twice was useless 😂 I've been saying the same thing that Dan O was saying. 100 TDs, 30 Ints the last 4 years. The last 3 years, 67 TDs, 25 Ints in the worst time of his career.
Pittsburgh knew they needed to snag Russ as quickly because the other teams would’ve been all over him. Even the Seahawks briefly considered bringing him back, which would’ve amounted to the ultimate coupe.
How can Orlovsky say Russ pushes the ball down the field when Russ leads the league in passes behind the line of scrimmage AND within five yards since 2005?!?!
