People need to stop with the division talk about the steelers, they went 5-1 in the AFC North last year despite the anemic offense. And the one game we lost against the Browns resulted in Canada getting the boot.

Man I’ve been saying this too! A lot of media people talk as if Pittsburgh is just always losing in the AFC North when it’s just not true. Even with a lesser team it’s still a competition. Look at Baltimore last year with the best record in the AFC and I was super confident in the Steelers to beat em as I’m sure a lot of other fans were too

That's also not what he was saying. His point was that Pittsburgh's fan base is one that will back him like almost no other, if he earns it. However, if he tanks, you will be hearing "Fire Wilson" chants from the stands of non-football games in another city, in another state for as long as it takes to get the point burnt into memory forever.

In all fairness - Russell Wilson did help the Broncos the past season to beat the Chiefs, Bills, Vikings, Packers, Browns, Chargers and Bears. I think he will help the Steelers this coming this season.

Russ had a bad year in 2021 and still posted a mediocre QBR. His past 4 seasons he's averaged 26.75TD, 9.75INT and a 97.65 QBR. His career avg: 30TD, 8.8 INT with a QBR average of 100. His demise has been greatly exaggerated.

And 2.75 fumbles. I think it's lack of wins and his overall lack of awareness on the field. To be fair, I believe his demise started years ago but it wasn't until he left Seattle that it was so evident. Pittsburgh ain't getting him because he's a great QB. They're getting him because he's cheap and can potentially buy themselves some time with Kenny or getting another QB. In my opinion.

Super Die Hard Steelers fan here, and WE SUCK. This is NOT the dominant team the Steelers once were. You must be one of those "Never had a losing season" Tomlin fan. Every fking year the Steelers win some games, but are a weak-ass team and get kicked out of the playoffs 1st round. Division wins or not, the goal is THE SUPER BOWL, and if you don't know that, you're not a die hard fan.

The learning the offense would make a difference if Arthur Smith was already in Pittsburgh. But he's a new OC in Pittsburgh so any QB that hasn't played for him before has to learn a new system.
