In Part 2, Harry talks about how teaming up with different types of punters works in combination, betting on Grand Prix racing, bets to avoid and the glorious years winning the Scoop 6.
bloody brilliant! Who doesn't get inspired by Harry??!! What a fun life he is having...lots of ups and downs but win or lose we drink our booze. Top man.
Thanks for this. I’d love to have an evening listening to ALL the stories. He brilliant. I wish though there were explanations to his terms of reference. Ie rebates, scoop 6 stakes and how? , Why Tote is better. I get it. He talking like he thinks everyone understands but I’d only be 50% knowledge and rest I try and put story together 🤣🤣👍
People used get given back money they put into pool, even of selection lost. It was a fiddle to make it look like taking were better, playing with there own money. Some totes used take 10-20-30% of pool, where as now I think planning 6% and 10-12% in Ireland, means punter better chance of a profit per race. People like betting on tote, it's just the value of bet sometimes it wins and you only gain 10cent... Awful I only back on tote now, problem in Ireland is minimum €1 stake, when you do jackpots and tricasts and you don't win... It stacks up quick
Always great listening to Harry. Can’t wait for next episode. (I hope he tells the story of when he stopped off at Kelso (?) on the way back from Shawfield and all the thin ‘uns got beat.
@@hadleigh55 the bit about the contract is true but Veitch reckons he pulled out the day before because he didn’t think the number of people in the syndicate was optimal. They ve all got sour grapes because he picked the winner with his 1 ticket and they had to share the other 50% of the bonus between 17 of them
@@rooftechnortheast I was introduced to PV at the 97 2000 guineas in the sponsors box..later visited him at his home then in Cambs...his betting was nothing extrodinary and was more famous for his tipping line..I refuse to believe how much he has won over the years..same as HF..who blusters an awful lot..and forever trying to stay relevant...do you know either of these personally ?
