Thank you again. When I was a little kid I didn't appreciate Betty because she doesn't have that tendency to violence that Popeye and others had. I always thought of Betty as being a girls cartoon. I am wiser now (I think) and really enjoy watching her find her way out of dilemmas, solving problems in her own special way. This one is sooo relative to everyone who has had to deal with a pesky, irritating fly. I really identify with the frustration because flies, especially juvenile restless ones know how to bother me to no end. Ive obliterated a room, scared the hell out of my cat, busted cherished knickknacks... all to destroy one tiny obnoxious fliege. At least now I know I'm not the only one! Good job Betty!!!
One time my house had a fly infestation, so I slapped them with curtains and spent my time outside. And mostly ignored them just because they did nothing mostly expect crawl in the corners of the window
Just re-house them in your vacuum cleaner. I have no patience for them anymore, they're too dumb and useless to me. I don't get as many flies in the 3rd floor workshop room anymore.
Used to watch this with my grandparents in the 80s and 90s; my grandparents used to watch it in the 30s and 40s. I wish these illustrators and animators could know how we're still loving their creation 100 years later!
Frequently, but not always. In the "We Did It" episode, he starts to get spanked for naughtiness he didn't commit, but then the 3 cats who did it come out and say it's their fault. Then Betty gives them all ice cream.
ok this is a huge mind f, my grandpa bought me a VHS tape in 1994 full of these old toons, this was one of them, while watching this i thought holy crap i've seen this before. its been almost 30 years!
@@johnDoe-gv8si That one's probably the "No! No! A Thousand Times No!" episode. I don't know for sure because I didn't see it, but that episode *is* public domain, so it's free to watch on RU-vid.
One of the most enduringly popular characters from the old movies. A perfect balance of sexy, coy, non-threatening and relatable girl-next-door. You c an project your fantasies onto her and still be friends!
CCC ruined the end of the cartoon with their ad for what to watch next. Stuff like that should be banned on RU-vid. Many others as well ruin the end of a lot of good videos that way.
@@mud6866 That is, when other windows pop up at the end of a video, *covering* the original video. They should put a video extension on at the end for the "watch next" section, not cover up the original video.
While I appreciate you digging deep for this I now and most likely will never understand the lasting popularity of the most annoying character outside of that giggling dog from the 70s Laff Olympics cartoon I’m not sure what that dogs name was I have referred to him since I was 6 as Mumbly Joe. The effort is more impressive then this solitary result to me anyway.
@Randay Sunday way to take a stand on an important issue it’s a 70 year old cartoon. If Betty Boop is your go to masterbatorial fantasy my opinion of her shouldn’t affect that special and creepy space in your head she occupies but if it does you have larger issues.
